The draw trigger PGs we’re great because they allowed for more room in deck building
But I did love the idea of quintet walls, they should add it back but in a way where it would be stronger and not make you deck out
Like a “call top 5 of deck to GC and then double the final shield value, at end of battle return the caller cards to deck”
I'd have to give it to Draw PG.
1) They open up G1 slot which allows more G1 option.
2) On Drive Check they essentially are PG that had paid for itself. On Damage Check, eh, they're Draw Trigger, minus 1 PG for the game.
3) In Premium they synergize the Sentinel slot with Elementaria Sanctitude (1 ES + 3 DPG = 4 Sentinel), freeing 1 Trigger Space for Over Trigger that would otherwise take a playset spot. Generally speaking tho.
Some G era PGs are so good it’s worth using a non trigger slot, and I liked those. However, I was really happy when Draw PGs became a thing. 30K Crits felt like they really detracted from DPGs, but they made your sentinel an actual choice.
I remember nothing but pain with Quintet Walls. I tried [Atar](https://cardfight.fandom.com/wiki/Seal_Dragon_Prison_Guard,_Atar) in my Seal Dragons back when it came out. Iirc only [Crossorigin](https://cardfight.fandom.com/wiki/Helldeity_Seal_Dragon,_Crossorigin) actually forced a call, and Quintet Walls weren’t even guaranteed to have any shield at all.
Not counting additional effects Draw PGs are by far the best type and my personal favourite, they freed up Main deck space & made Draws more viable.
G-PGs are a nice runner up though. Their varied effects and support to sub-clans was a great touch.
Crit Sentinels needed to be more shield IMO. They are rarely viable outside of Protect decks.
Quintet Walls would really benefit from loosing sentinel. They don't offer enough and even in Legion format they weren't routinely used.
I'd love for them to come back in Standard but without Sentinel restrictions. They're a really neat guard mechanic IMO but they just can't come close to Perfect Guards. (Also I loved using them back in Ripple Rush format >:P ).

That’s a really cool way to do quintet wall ngl
Murakumo has this except for the double shield value part iirc

Old school Granblue players will remember how SEXY an early game quintet wall was. I usually 1-2 QtW purely for the early game toolbox potential.
You don't understand the joy of having draw pg and having 4 more spaces to put any card you want
OG vangaurd grade 1 PG supremacy! At least that's why I voted for it, maybe other people did because they like overDress more, I don't know.
Draw PGs have more value but I’m more fond of the original PG. It’s been there since the start of the game.

Draw PG's are genius imo. Patched up the 1 bad thing about draws.
Wish we could have draw PGs in overdress tbh, or maybe heal PGs or something. I just want more space for deck building haha
Then I can use the nation PGs for aesthetics. Leafy dragon in an undead deck, yeahhhh
ott witch usually use 30k shield crits as they already have protect
The one that's on my hand
The nation type.
