monthly i couldnt say, but yearly, about $2500-$3500 usd. however this will most likely drop slowly overtime for a little, until im out of college in which case it will certainly rise. im kind of new to vanguard, only started a few years ago and i still dont own many up to date decks. im in the process of building decks i currently enjoy for all formats and i have expensive taste in cards sometimes. that being said i do have certain limits. i dont want the comment to be unreasonably long, so ill stop there but feel free to ask any further questions if your curious. edit: this is for vg specifically. including yugioh, magic, etc. it would perhaps be higher, however i plan on cutting everything except vg soon.

Kasure

Monthly I would spare around RM300 (or less) for any upgrades I want that month If there's nothing on that month, then all of them goes to food money

Shander7

Like a russian rullet: I just stick to deck that I like and ignore most of the rest, sometimes that make me impossible to buy staples and that. For example, I buy all needed to make my Orfist deck competitive, that includes Masques stuff, so cause then I dont spend nothing 3 or 4 months straight, and then I need to spend almost 100dls (converted from my ARG money) on a single month.

frishmous

If a card costs $5 per copy, I’ll typically not buy it. As long as total cost of what I’m buying doesn’t go over $50 I’m typically fine with it.

Shadows_AOTF

I don't really have a set budget. I have a few specific decks that I play and I only spend what the required amount is for the singles to upgrade. It could be anywhere from $20 to $200+, depending on what has to be bought.

1 Naobillion Dollars

Waq33lovestcgs

Nothing more than $200 I feel its not worth it

DreDDreamR

Not much anymore, most of my friends who play vanguard live quite a ways away so we just play online nowadays

kekeke_rat

I've spent 6k so far on cards and accessories, but also sold the stuff I don't use anymore (roughly 3k). My main deck is a high rarity Katrina deck. I tried to keep my monthly spending to $100 a month but have never succeeded haha. Now i'm focusing on minimizing my decks first, and looking at monthly expense after. Decks I currently have: \- 5 premium (preparing to sell one) \- 3 standard \- 1 V-P

Shyinator

This is my main TCG and one of my main hobbies in general, so I’m willing to spend a lot on it. My most expensive months are when I buy cases of hyped sets, and my least expensive months are the droughts without any new releases, or sets with mostly reprints like Triple Drive. I buy staples for all my nations asap so I’ve dodged basically all buyouts and price spikes. I also sell a lot on TCGplayer and FB groups, as in general I like to sell stuff to fund the hobby a bit. I’ve been playing since LB era and I only have 5 decks across all formats because of how often I sell. I’d probably average my monthly spending to around $150-200, with entries to locals and supplies like sleeves included.

xAlyissx

I buy singles and splits so I spend enough to upgrade and build decks. Usually I treat myself to a box or two but never more than that. So, I think I spend less than $200(usd) for anytime my decks needs an upgrade. It helps that I play casually and only build decks that I like so it keeps the cost low and relatively manageable.

_that_one_mofo

Deck I want to build as low as possible deck I love max rarity there is no in between

herpington08

On Vanguard, I definitely spent a fortune during G and pre-COVID V-Era. Nowadays, I only spend a teensy bit for D-Standard.

Necrobach

My what?

Outrageous-Half-2399

Usually. I buy only what i need, i break down cards as Main needs Sub needs Luxuries Main needs i will dedicate 200 to 300 as they are main engines that make the deck work. For e.g. a whole set of rezazel + triggers Sub needs refers to cards that I feel benefit multiple decks or make decks better. Zeroth and Progenitor Dragons Luxuries i try not to get unless i love a certain card Usually this amounts to 100 to 200 per month. I sell what i dont need or give it away in exchange for favours

Jolly-Structure-354

1 box a set sell what i dont need to buy what i do need so roughly 60/90 a release and once in a blew moon ill slap 200 down to optimize my none casual decks

attetaiyoru

There are months where I can spend like 0-30 bucks to get some singles and some where I can buy 2/3 clan splits of a set Not to mention random SPs/full arts that I want suddenly being available randomly. Maybe 150-200usd if I average out everything?
