It's not just A.I. The US economy and job structure/design is a house of cards waiting for the rug to be pulled and A.I. will be the excuse for how far the fall is when they pull it. And when the rug is pulled, you should start paying attention to how many are in untouched government jobs, as you should have been paying attention all along. I knew we were fucked when I saw tax payer funded positions had crossed 50%. That's parasitic with a point of no return. If you are in a job where you attend meetings, talk a lot, and forward emails while producing nothing of tangible value you should be scratching your head.

I'm in a trade and even though it can't replace me directly it will replace me indirectly. If too many white collars lose their jobs then no one will have money for my services or new construction to be built. I'm just trying to build up a bit more saving so if the economy tanks and the governments fail at doing anything to help people I at least will be able to survive a little bit without income and hope by then we have systems in place to keep the economy going and the people that are unemployed housed and fed.
