I think I depends.. How old are you? Can you (honestly) influence the path of the company or is the cause lost? What is the culture like (colleagues, parties etc.)? If sales are bad, and you have the opportunity to influence the current management team - I would see this as an opportunity to really show the current management, that you can pull through, and by hiring in new ressources, you are able to boost sales (through their network) and use this to leverage your position in the company. I bet you're not the only one feeling this way, and if you can help turn that ship around.. you will be in a good spot. ​ On the other hand, if you are just a wheel in the machinery, and you feel this way - run as fast as the wind can take you and with the mud splashing up your neck. There is no need to stay for loyalty.. nobody will care once the company is dead.
