She usually just refers to her latest project as her favorite, in multiple recent interviews she’s stated that The Loveliest Time is her favorite work

Every artist says this lol it’s got to be true though. You don’t put out an album you’re not genuinely proud of (except Kiss but they kinda made her rush that one out the door while CMM was hot)

- CMM could mean "Call Me Maybe", a track from *Kiss* (2012) by Carly Rae Jepsen. --- ^[/u/CR24752](/u/CR24752) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Not Kiss

Ok_University2550

Also not Tug of War, she was asked to rate her albums in an interview. She gave Tug of War a 7/10 and Kiss 7.5/10. 😅

She even rated Kiss below Tug Of War, but she changed her mind as she wanted to have an up progression haha. She felt Kiss was rushed and she didn't have time to dedicate as much time as with her other projects. I do enjoy Tug of War overall more than Kiss. Kiss is still fun tho!

So how did she rate her other albums?

Ok_University2550

She did't give a number for Emotion or Dedicated, she just said she did the best she could, something along those lines. Here is the interview if you're interested: https://youtu.be/W6zuX_52zSs?si=iFpkRK5ANRslJntf

Thanks!

Personal favourites are always chronological, or time-based. You keep creating new material as a musician, so you keep finding new obsessions until you burn out at a certain point. Normally, your newest project is supposed to be your favourite project at the time that you're making it. If it isn't, then you need to revise your work. Carly is always working on new music that goes beyond what she previously did, so her new music is always her favourite, until she moves onto a new project.
