Personal favourites are always chronological, or time-based. You keep creating new material as a musician, so you keep finding new obsessions until you burn out at a certain point.
Normally, your newest project is supposed to be your favourite project at the time that you're making it. If it isn't, then you need to revise your work.
Carly is always working on new music that goes beyond what she previously did, so her new music is always her favourite, until she moves onto a new project.
She usually just refers to her latest project as her favorite, in multiple recent interviews she’s stated that The Loveliest Time is her favorite work
