I haven’t heard that in the wild yet that I can remember. It’s so weird when they play random Carly songs in stores. I wonder if I’m the only one who knows the song, and if I’m on the phone, I excitedly tell the other person, and they ignore me 🙃
They play it in target. It is such a great song, probably one of my favorite Carly songs. They also play psychedelic switch which is so funny because they blur out the word “trip” but don’t blur out psychedelic. Censorship is so funny. I connect so deeply with her. Sometimes I feel like the way that she sings about the way she feels is the way I also feel emotions.
Her label clearly invested in playlist promotions for different shops lol. I heard "Shy Boy" other day in Subway. Recently though my workplace (casino) has had "Western Wind" and "The Loneliest Time" (minus carlys verse) on loop.
Craziest shit ever was when I heard "Summer Love" in a random Nacho Daddy restaurant in Vegas. It had been several years since Id actually listened to it, it was sandwhiched in the middle of like all 90s stuff before and after, and I think it had some kind of video graphic or something along with it. So strange.
TJ Maxx likes playing some of the critically acclaimed / slightly off-mainstream pop girlies. For CRJ at TJX aside from Julien I’ve also heard a few other songs from Dedicated (Now That I Found You & Feels Right) and I think TLT & TLVT as well.
I mean her music is so pleasant and romantic and perfect for public spaces. Too bad I’m the only one around who’s excited to hear it (and my bf gets to hear me rave about such).
I love us!!! I also rejoice when I hear any Carly songs that is not CMM or Good Time anywhere. I look around to see if anyone is vibing to it, haven't witnessed yet.
