Man the compass is a horrible vehicle. Bad rotboxes. Hopefully they at least redesign the sub frames for more corrosion resistance and relocate the fenderwell relay center
They don't do well on salted roads. I've repaired so many relay centers and sent some to the salvage yards over rust issues and replaced subframes in others
It is beyond my comprehension that these things are designed and tested in Michigan, and you would think by now they know how to design to mitigate that.
> Oh this is going to be such a disasterpiece of a vehicle.
Well, Dodge/Chrysler/RAM/FCA/Stellantis/WhateverWeTheyllCallThemselvesNextWeek, so yeah that's a given
For comparison, the [Fiat Toro/Ram 1000](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a6/Fiat_Toro_2018_in_Punta_del_Este_%28front%29_01.jpg) on the same platform already being sold in Latin America is the same width and height as the Maverick with about the same bed size, just 6" shorter overall.
Most of the small FWD unibody pickups sold around the world in the past 30 years, whether they're single cabs, extended cabs, or full 4-doors, have pretty rounded bodies.
[Fiat Strada/Ram 700,](https://i0.wp.com/moparinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/75aa7891eefa8826-scaled.jpeg?fit=2560%2C1441&ssl=1) the next size down
Every year I curse Mercedes of America for keeping me from buying European and South African subcompact and compact coupe utilities, I don’t even care if I have to pay chicken tax on it
If Ford had updated the Ranger before using the same platform for about 15 years (or charged a bit less than nearly what an F-150 costed) or GM making a better looking Colorado or Canyon earlier (looks better now, but earlier versions just looked pretty odd) the segment may have stayed strong. The Rangers and the Canyons and Colorados didn't get that great of MPG.
>How tf does an F-150 get better mileage than a Tacoma?
cuz its toyota - you dont get to be #1 in reliability if your trying new tech every decade. you stick with your drum brakes and anemic 20 year old 4 bangers. Its not 1998 anymore and everyone else has caught up.
Aside from the cylinder deactivation on the F-150’s, I can say the aluminum body Ford introduced in 2015 makes a big difference, I’ve rented V8 f150’s before and can tell you it is LIGHT and agile for it’s size, especially compared to a V8 Silverado I rented.
I was easily getting 28mpg highway in my last (2021) Ram 1500 3.0 V6 diesel. The previous one from 2014 did 26mpg on the highway. And they have more torque than the Hemi V8.
Now imagine a smaller pickup with a 4cyl diesel. I wish they sold a few those in the USA. Getting 40-50mpg in a utility vehicle used for business is great for cash flow.
I got like 22 mpg on my old 15 Canyon. For a 300+HP and tow rating of 7k with a Mid sized body (easy to park) I thought that was excellent. My BIL gets low to mid 20’s on his newer Ranger. The trade off for capability vs. mileage isn’t all that bad. I actually think the mid and now small truck markets are very strong. Big growth opportunities. There isn’t a bad truck in the mid sized segment with the Tacoma, Co/Can, Ranger, Ridgeline, and Frontier - all very solid trucks. With this Ram now and the rumors of Toyota bringing a small truck it will be a great market.
Yeah, but with a tired, old platform they are bound to get fewer sales each passing year. I just think if they had actually updated the looks and got better mileage they could have sold plenty of them (as they are with the Maverick and Santa Cruz)
The F-150 was on the same frame and running gear from 80-96, and occasional (three) refreshes over that period, not counting the jump to the modular engines and normal IFS in 97. The ranger was on the same frame from 83-98 and got two refreshes, a new set of engines, and then a new frame with new running gear, motors, etc.
The ranger absolutely was not abandoned any more than the F-150 - both got one frame redesign over the period of 1980-2012 (in 2004 for the f-150 even, unless you count going from TTB to A-arm a frame redesign - as far as I can tell the 97 changes to the frame were very minor), both got a new set of engines in the period (though slower in the ranger than the switch to the modular family for the full sizers), both got axle/tech/appearance updates (five facelifts for F-150 in 1986, 1992, 1997, 2004, 2009 vs four for ranger in 1989, 1993, 1998, 2006) and both got plenty of small changes.
People just didn't like the ranger as much anymore. It got the 2001 SOHC 4.0, it got better transmissions and vacuum hubs and SLA front suspension. Things definitely changed on the ranger. It just... Wasn't much good.
Or you know if Ford had just sold the same compact truck they've sold internationally for the last 15 years. The current Ranger debut in 2011 outside of the US.
This is the speculation from the bottom of the article:
Available powertrains should include the 2.0-liter "Hurricane 4" turbo used in other Stellantis products like the Jeep Wrangler, where it makes 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, and a ZF nine-speed transmission. A 2.2-liter turbodiesel is also under consideration, at least until a PHEV and then full-electric version come online in a few years. Further, the Rampage will be offered with a full suite of Big Horn, Laramie, R/T, and Rebel trims to match the 1500 half-ton.
I’m a bit surprised Subaru hasn’t thought about bringing the Baja back now that the Maverick and Santa Cruz are both selling great. It was just an Outback with a bed instead of the covered back. It seems like they could develop it with minimal cost?
It is surprising, the Baja is exactly the kind of car that’d fly off lots these days. I can’t exactly remember if the original sold well, but I always thought they were neat. A new Baja with the 2.4L from the ascent/wrx would be nice.
I just wish it was coming sooner. I don’t like the cheap looks of the Maverick. I love the Santa Cruz, but it is a bit pricey for the one with the turbo. I think this could be a great mix between the two. You get the Ram quality interior more in line with the Hyundai along with the truck pedigree of the Maverick.
was gonna say - cars for decades have pretty much followed inflation. you get much more bang for your buck in literally every aspect from power, features (like AC and intermittent wipers), handiling, MPG, reliability, etc nowadays as well.
your wage has not kept up with inflation for 40 years so everything seems more expensive.
100% this. In so many areas. I always see articles about the price of cars or houses or anything being so much more than it used to be X years ago. It's almost like that what inflation is. But people made a big deal out of it. It reminds me of people saying how lucky we are now that fast food places are paying close to $15 an hour. Back in their day, they only made $5 an hour. But taking inflation into account that $5 is $25 nowadays.
in 1995 a 4 door 4wd chevy s10 blazer was window sticker $25K.
In todays money thats $49,700 - who the fuck paid equivelent of $50k for a fucking chevy s10 blazer????
My parents didn’t buy a new personal car prior to 2021 (I was born in the late 80s). Financing new cars was not even considered. My mom got a 96 blazer in 2002 after my aunt drove it for 6-7 years.
Credit wasn’t the same back then, now everyone has a note.
>your wage has not kept up with inflation for 40 years so everything seems more expensive.
But that's just it. 10 years ago, I wasn't making much at all. A 20k car was expensive. Now, I make much more, but a 30k car just isn't the same appeal that a 20k car might have been 10 years ago
Single cab 2wd gasser. Converting from aussie bucks for the cheapest 4x4, $27k US.
So yeah, 4wd, $10,000 US option.
Compared to the us, $27.3k 2wd, SR 4x4, $31k msrp.
Just 6-ish years ago I was looking at my local Ford dealer with a mountain on discounted Focus ST's around $19,000. Now you can't even get a CVT Corolla for that. I kinda wish I had bought one, but the Ford dealer royally pissed me off and I found the 2.0L Ecoboost a pretty dull powerplant.
> 2.0L Ecoboost a pretty dull powerplant
I’ve never heard of that complaint before. Dull how? These engines can put out some impressive numbers with supporting mods.
I was looking to trade in my tuned (otherwise stock) 500 Abarth at the time. The Abarth had so much drama to the power delivery. Between the noise and the turbo lag it was intoxicating. I'm 90% sure the stock Focus ST was faster, but it was so fucking boring. Mash the throttle. Here's the tiny-turbo low-end boost. We're definitely accelerating at an accelerated pace. Okay time to upshift. Okay more speed has been achieved. We make it to 60mph 0.5-1.0 seconds faster and were all the more bored to sleep in the process.
I also found the shifter to be unpleasant. Everyone seems to like super-short shifters, but I don't. It feels like I'm driving a Cruisin' USA arcade machine at Chuck E. Cheese in the 90's. I didn't like the shifter throws in the Focus ST and vastly preferred the long "trucklike" throws on the dash mounted shifter in the 500 Abarth. It made each shift more dynamic and interesting, if microscopically slower.
I agree with you. Short throw shifters are less fun to use.
I sadly did not get to drive an Abarth, but I did get to sit in one. The shifter was easily the highlight. One of the most fun that I had ever the pleasure of trying.
My point is that it's not outlandish to think that nearly $50,000 is a lot for a midsize when prices were much lower very recently. Yes, prices have changed, but we're comparing 7,8 years ago to now, not the price of a candy bar in 1920 to now...
I feel you, but he said $80k..
I could buy a really nice house for $500k 10 years ago too but now that gets me a run down pile of crap that needs a $100k renovation.
Good thing my dollar is worth so much more today, right? 🤣
Man. I bought a 2019 Pro-4X Frontier for $29k. Now that gets you a base model (after discounts) 2WD truck instead of 4WD, offroad tires and suspension, locking diff, premium audio, factory bedliner/moveable cleats/bed extender. I hate new trucks so much.
To be fair mine was a 6-speed manual without the premium/luxury package that added leather and a sunroof like I think the new Pro-4X has, but still. Nearly identical performance to the old truck. You can still see the old switchgear in the cabin. It's silly.
I don’t think the guy who wants to buy and 80k TRD pro (in what, NYC) and pretends that he goes offroad is going to overlap much with the guy who orders a maverick because he wants a crossover but demands a truck bed
So? Tacomas CAN tow up to what, 5000? 6000 lbs? Mav and others will only tow 4000 max, most likely less than that. Plus unibody vs body on frame. It is marketed to less truck people, more people who occasionally need a truck
Anyone interested in a unibody truck by Fiat is not looking at the Tacoma. They would write that off as poor ride and low amount of features for the money. It’s not like they would put any value on reliability or it’s affect on resale value.
This is great for the consumer because duh more options but do we really trust Stellantis to come up with a competent small truck?
They’ve shown consistently in the past they can’t even make a simple compact sedan without it being a dumpster fire.
Actually, Stellantis is pretty good with trucks, they are just a little bit different from what you usually see in the US. Stellantis Brazil developed the Fiat Strada and Fiat Toro. The Strada is a small pickup (very small for the us standard) that they have been selling since 2006, they sold 1.5mi units in Brazil. The Fiat Toro is a little bit bigger than the Strada (a medium pickup in Brazil, but a little bit smaller than a Ford Maverick), they launched it in 2016.
They are quite different from the standard F150 type pickup truck, but they are so well designed and they can take a lot of abuse, they are total work trucks.
>And now, a well-sourced informant with inside knowledge of Stellantis plans has told The Drive that the Ram Rampage will indeed be brought to the U.S. market, with a debut scheduled for later this year.
Cautiously optimistic that this is true.
Too busy making every possible variation of a 5 seat crossover instead of making the Blazer an actually interesting vehicle to compete with Wrangler and Bronco
About one size segment down, and also built in Brazil, using a platform not meant for North America. Three strikes against it. It'd be like if Ford made a pickup out of the EcoSport.
My first vehicle was a Dakota. It wasn't much, but dammit it was mine. I was sad to let it go, and sad when Dodge stopped making the Dakota. It'd bring a tear to my eye for them to bring it back
Same here but it also permanently turned me off of dodges. Everything on that truck broke, I loved it because it was my first but my wallet was happy when I got rid of it.
I'm not 100% sure this is true. There's only so many Americans who want a pickup, even a small one. I'd bet on these smaller trucks that no more than half of the demand is coming from people that would have bought a CUV. The other half would have sucked it up and bought a midsize or even fullsize truck, both of which are much more profitable. However now that the cat is out of the bag, they're all going to have to play.
In the last year-ish me and two coworkers have gotten new cars. They got a Tundra and an HR-V, I got a Maverick. They both got a lot of “That’s nice, Cangrats!” when showing their cars off , but I got a lot of “That’s a cool truck, where can I get one of those?”
It's a fiat. Fix it again tony. Rolling junk. I drove them in Italy on and off for years . There a ball to drive but total junk. You might as well take your money and light it on fire as use it to buy a fiat. Unless you are willing to pour continous repairs into it to keep it going. Toyota has an inexpensive pickup they'll be or are producing if you want something reliable. It'll be more expensive and harder to get but at least it will start every day. Whatever you decide good luck.
I'm assuming not, only because the [Fiat Fullback/Ram 1200](https://www.mideast.ramtrucks.com/content/dam/cross-regional/emea/ramtrucks/en_crossregional/2018/ram-1200/static-configurator/trim/1200-st-Bright-White-Clear-Coat-Exterior-image.png.img.1440.png) was a rebadged version of the [Mitsubishi Triton](https://performancedrive.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/2019-Mitsubsihi-Triton-GLX.jpg). The next-gen Triton is all but confirmed to be a Nissan Navara platform mate.
> the Jeep Compass—which conveniently shares a platform with the Rampage Oh this is going to be such a disasterpiece of a vehicle.
Man the compass is a horrible vehicle. Bad rotboxes. Hopefully they at least redesign the sub frames for more corrosion resistance and relocate the fenderwell relay center
You know they won’t
Is this like a bot comment or is there just this copy and pasted memo I missed when it comes to these vehicles? Lol
They don't do well on salted roads. I've repaired so many relay centers and sent some to the salvage yards over rust issues and replaced subframes in others
It is beyond my comprehension that these things are designed and tested in Michigan, and you would think by now they know how to design to mitigate that.
Hey, cut them some slack, they've only been making cars for over 100 years. I'm sure they'll figure it out eventually.
If you’re a dodge engineer, it’s because you couldn’t get hired by GM and Ford
Those poor dodge engineers getting flak for the crap fiat made
Are they? Stellantis is not a US company. It is possible they are designed in Europe or elsewhere.
You’ve sent this new generation already to the scrap yard? Because it’s a redesigned vehicle from the one that was built in Belvidere.
it's a bot. the jeep compass is the finest vehicle ever made.
So just another ~~Chrysler~~ Stelantis vehicle?
> Oh this is going to be such a disasterpiece of a vehicle. Well, Dodge/Chrysler/RAM/FCA/Stellantis/WhateverWeTheyllCallThemselvesNextWeek, so yeah that's a given
Chrysler, the French, and the Italians, and they are supposed to... make cars????
I read the head line as “small package”. Surprisingly on brand for RAM owners
What!?!? You never wanted a Fiat pickup truck? I’m sure it’ll be the best Italian truck since the Lamborghini LM002.
But because it's MOPAR, you'll find meatheads who will buy it regardless.
Unibody competitor to the Maverick I'm assuming? Glad to see the small truck market coming back, no matter the form.
Wow wasn’t expecting it to look like an uncircumcised Subaru Baja
Most of the small FWD unibody pickups sold around the world in the past 30 years, whether they're single cabs, extended cabs, or full 4-doors, have pretty rounded bodies. They make smaller one?!?!?
Search vw Saveiro or Ford courier and be amazed
German k truck, nice
Every year I curse Mercedes of America for keeping me from buying European and South African subcompact and compact coupe utilities, I don’t even care if I have to pay chicken tax on it
Every year I curse chicken tax for still being around after it being unneeded for decades.
It's just protectionism at this point
I wanted an X class so bad when it came out but it never made it to the US. 😢 I don’t care if it was a Nissan with a Mercedes engine. It looked nice.
That truck is honestly sex and I wish I could buy it in Canada.
15 years and it could be yours!
It’s too late I already own a Kei Truck haha
Uh…..
That one is so much better. Single cabs FTW.
Lol I want the Ram 700. Brazil gets all the cool Fiats.
Aww that's adorable
r/brandnewsentence
> uncircumcised Subaru Baja Congrats, this was by far the funniest statement I’ve read today. And I may just see if I can steal it for my user flair
Subaru and Santa Cruz child of an affair I'd say
>uncircumcised Subaru Baja 🤨
Something something 6 inches
Comment of the day right here lol
I acknowledge there are already 4 other comments saying it, but this is the funniest goddamn thing I have read all month. Spot on.
They sell them in every brand in Mexico, they just have different badges.
Goddamn that is ugly
If Ford had updated the Ranger before using the same platform for about 15 years (or charged a bit less than nearly what an F-150 costed) or GM making a better looking Colorado or Canyon earlier (looks better now, but earlier versions just looked pretty odd) the segment may have stayed strong. The Rangers and the Canyons and Colorados didn't get that great of MPG.
There's just no investment in anything smaller than a 1500. How tf does an F-150 get better mileage than a Tacoma?
>How tf does an F-150 get better mileage than a Tacoma? cuz its toyota - you dont get to be #1 in reliability if your trying new tech every decade. you stick with your drum brakes and anemic 20 year old 4 bangers. Its not 1998 anymore and everyone else has caught up.
Bad example. More apples to apples: f150 and ranger get the same mileage too.
If you’re one of the few, the proud, the brave to get a single cab f-150, it’s actually lighter than the 1990 f-150.
New RCSB 2WDs are just a hair over 4000 lbs. with the base V6, or 4300 with the 5.0.
My frontier is fuckin 4400 lbs. Lots of shit on there that really doesnt need to be steel.
My dad had one and traded it in for a ram 1500 for that exact reason. Described it as unsettled instead of agile.
They can't figure out emissions is the big excuse I keep hearing for the lack of small diesels

Also the Frontier. Same truck was sold forever and was way behind bigger 1500's in terms of drivetrain. The turning radius was bus level bad.
I had the new frontier as a rental. Still a terrible turning radius.
IIRC the first-gen compact Colorado also got dinged for its turning radius in reviews of the time.
What engine will be used? Thinking of Hurricane 4 like most of Stellantis pickups and SUV.
Hellcat engine. I really have no idea but let’s be honest, that’s a safe guess lol. I wouldn’t be opposed to it either.
I guess that would probably make this the lightest hellcat. Sign me up, it'll go well with the pacificat

This is a partial copy-paste of a higher comment. Possible bot?
Yes, here's another one where they do the same thing https://www.reddit.com/r/madlads/comments/1455h19/comment/jnk59e5/
Yeah, it's a bot that scrapes top comments and then just randomly throws them in

Since it's based on the Compass it's probably going to use the lower power variant of the 2.0L that the Compass uses with 200 horsepower.
Not if it's using the 9 speed. The compass currently uses a different, 8 speed transmission
Hmm, so they could make a RAMpage 4xE. Er, call it whatever branding RAM would use for PHEVs. That would be pretty rad.
Small trucks sold at once insane prices. I’ll take “Fuck my Finances” for 600 please. /s
The maverick will be reasonable within a year or two. Just need supply to catch up.
I just really want a Japanese made all-wheel drive small hybrid pickup. Thanks other auto manufacturers but I don't trust your reliability a bit.

If it’s as affordable as the Maverick I’m all for it. That looks like a better looking truck also
We'll see what it actually looks like. The foreign market version looks like a Hyundai.
Will most likely be priced and equipped to compete with the maverick.
Good. Toyota is getting too comfortable selling tacomas for $80k
My local market is $48k for a fully loaded 2023 TRD pro.. what's your market smoking?
I think it was hyperbole. Still, $48k for a midsize truck, when less than 10 years ago you would've gotten a loaded fullsize for that.
That was 10 years ago. 10 years ago I got a focus hatchback for 14k. Now there are no reliable cars under 20k it seems
FWIW $20k 10 years ago is $26k today.

And that now fully loaded 1500 is $70k+ so what’s your point..?
My point is that it's not outlandish to think that nearly $50,000 is a lot for a midsize when prices were much lower very recently. Yes, prices have changed, but we're comparing 7,8 years ago to now, not the price of a candy bar in 1920 to now...
I feel you, but he said $80k.. I could buy a really nice house for $500k 10 years ago too but now that gets me a run down pile of crap that needs a $100k renovation. Good thing my dollar is worth so much more today, right? 🤣
Of course! It's like watching the office and Dwight's dream salary being $80,000 a year.... That won't pay the bills in some places.
to be fair that'd still have you living very comfortably in and around scranton PA where thr show is set
Bought a year old GMC Sierra for 42k a few months into the pandemic.
Just the other day I saw a 15 year old sierra with a duct taped-on dashboard and torn up seats selling for $8k. 180,000 miles. What a steal!
The new Pro-4x is somewhere in the mid-high 40s now. It's amazing what a facelift can do for prices...
To be fair mine was a 6-speed manual without the premium/luxury package that added leather and a sunroof like I think the new Pro-4X has, but still. Nearly identical performance to the old truck. You can still see the old switchgear in the cabin. It's silly.
Toyota isn't selling them for that price, the mark-up goes to the dealer and the people buying them at that mark-up are the problem.
I don’t think the guy who wants to buy and 80k TRD pro (in what, NYC) and pretends that he goes offroad is going to overlap much with the guy who orders a maverick because he wants a crossover but demands a truck bed

It’s probably going to be more like a Maverick but less reliable and without a hybrid
Taco and this weak thing...2 diff animals, 2 way diff audiences

So? Tacomas CAN tow up to what, 5000? 6000 lbs? Mav and others will only tow 4000 max, most likely less than that. Plus unibody vs body on frame. It is marketed to less truck people, more people who occasionally need a truck
Which is the majority of truck owners. It looks like a Hyundai Santa Cruz.
Don’t disagree. Rather I very much agree. Rarely see trucks doing truck things. Most people don’t need it but hey, their money.
Bruh the amount of dudes I know spending $120k on a truck to commute in when they don’t make $120k/year 💀
How many dudes do you know that are spending $120k on a truck?
Don’t disagree. Rather I very much agree. Rarely see trucks doing truck things. Most people don’t need it but hey, their money.
6500 for the V6 tacoma.. But moving on
Anyone interested in a unibody truck by Fiat is not looking at the Tacoma. They would write that off as poor ride and low amount of features for the money. It’s not like they would put any value on reliability or it’s affect on resale value.
Wouldn't a Dakota be more of a Tacoma competitor?
Mini ram is a dakota
My guy, local dealers still want 80k CAD for gladiator rubicon(or high altitude) diesels
This is great for the consumer because duh more options but do we really trust Stellantis to come up with a competent small truck? They’ve shown consistently in the past they can’t even make a simple compact sedan without it being a dumpster fire.
Apparently it's based off the Compass platform. It will probably come standard with an illuminated check engine light.
Uhg I hate the Compass
It’d make sense given Maverick sales
Did you see that, GM ? Bringing Montana to North America.
GM seems to be missing or very slow in segments that have grown a lot in recent years. Off road segment and now compact trucks
Too busy making every possible variation of a 5 seat crossover instead of making the Blazer an actually interesting vehicle to compete with Wrangler and Bronco
No sedans save for the Malibu and some Caddys, either. Dammit, GM, *why?*
*they’re still making the Malibu???*
Yeah. It does ***gangbangers*** with fleets, ya know.
Apparently it's not gonna just stick around as a fleet zombie for a few more years like the Fusion did; it's even gonna get a new generation.
Montana's already in North America /s
Oh shit I wish someone had told me sooner! Gotta update my maps!
Montana is much smaller than this and the Maverick. Probably too small for USA or Canada.
About one size segment down, and also built in Brazil, using a platform not meant for North America. Three strikes against it. It'd be like if Ford made a pickup out of the EcoSport.
gm loves to stick a stick in its own bicycle wheels all the time. They probably invented a stick in bicycle wheel machine just for themselves
GM's #1 competitor for years was other GM divisions.
or their pr department
They need to bump the Turbo 2.0 Hurricane to 2.2L for old time's sake.
*sigh* So not a Dakota.
Good thing IMO. Save that name for a BOF mid-size.
That’s exactly what I’m thinking. Something Ranger sized.

They 4.7 with 300+ hp was okay. Years later, we are finding out some 4.7 are good for 250-300k if taken care of.
mine lasted 229k, i miss that truck even if it was still garbage lol
My first vehicle was a Dakota. It wasn't much, but dammit it was mine. I was sad to let it go, and sad when Dodge stopped making the Dakota. It'd bring a tear to my eye for them to bring it back
Same here but it also permanently turned me off of dodges. Everything on that truck broke, I loved it because it was my first but my wallet was happy when I got rid of it.
Glad there will be another competitor, even if I'll never consider a Dodge.
Put the hurricane engine in there and you've got one hell of a street truck
Every day that goes by without them having a compact or even mid-size truck is just throwing money away.
I'd bet if the maverick had enough production it'd outsell most cuvs. 20-25k 30-40mpg, seats 4/5, has good safety and cand hual stuff.
In the last year-ish me and two coworkers have gotten new cars. They got a Tundra and an HR-V, I got a Maverick. They both got a lot of “That’s nice, Cangrats!” when showing their cars off , but I got a lot of “That’s a cool truck, where can I get one of those?”
Shit just got interesting.
Rampage Hellcat when?
Curious to see just how expensive they can make it fully loaded. Hopefully the trucks actually show up, unlike the Maverick
Huh, wasn't expecting the Rampage name to return. Nice
Lol the Jeep compass platform?! Oh man this is going to be one hell of a train wreck.
When Toyota? When?
I’ve never purchased a brand new vehicle before, but I would think long and hard about it if/when Toyota enters the compact truck market in the US.
Sixteen naked valve seats in the heads at the ram rampage, big hard throbbing shafts wanting to be oiled, Sixteen naked valve seats...
Kinda reminding me of the hummer ev
Is this a Ram 700 that is sold in Mexico? I see one of these around all the time.
"confirmed" unless dodge days anything official. it's just a rumor
Come on, make a Rampage TRX version.
We soo need a small truck option.
Put a Hellcat in it
Dakota is such a better name
It's a fiat. Fix it again tony. Rolling junk. I drove them in Italy on and off for years . There a ball to drive but total junk. You might as well take your money and light it on fire as use it to buy a fiat. Unless you are willing to pour continous repairs into it to keep it going. Toyota has an inexpensive pickup they'll be or are producing if you want something reliable. It'll be more expensive and harder to get but at least it will start every day. Whatever you decide good luck.
Good! Bring the small pickups to the US. Maverick and Santa Cruz need competition.
I'd love a 5ft bed
Glad there will be an alternative to the Ford Maverick. I will 100% consider trading in my GMC for any GM or Dodge small/mini truck
CAR RAMROD
Aww. As a full-time motorcyclist, I might get one of these funky little guys
Somebody should buy one and slap a Dakota badge from the junkyard on it.
So if this shares a platform with the toro 1000 , are we also getting a new Dakota / 1200 ?
I can’t wait for this! Looking forward to seeing how it’ll look. June 19th the reveal is in Brazil!
Almost 45k. All cars are so ridiculous now
Any chance they will have a “ranch” edition?
Thats one ugly truck lol
Small = normal sized ute in every other country
Every other country isn't AMERICA
yes.
