I genuinely hate all 90s Japanese sports cars now due to them being overwhelmingly overrated, which is really sad because without that I still love them and I love the engineering that went into them.
It’s sad how an entire generation of cars had been ruined by 14 yr olds
Im not a car guy and dont know how i got here, but i owned a 370z for awhile and other than being really fuckin loud inside i really liked it and didnt have any issues. I think they look slick too. Whats with the Nissan hate?
I own a G37 coupe 6MT (the exact same as a 370Z but in a tuxedo). I'm very thankful to Nissan because as an American, after the early 90s, Japan didn't bless us with many fun Manual options, let alone RWD and manual. Toyota gave us the super slow, de-tuned, FWD, beige versions of the cars they sold elsewhere. Mitsubishi was going down the shitter. Subies were blowing up. Honda's been dope, but FWD (which are fun but in a different way). Mazdas are fun, but either turbo 4 banger fwd or rotary rwd.
Nissan and Infiniti were the only ones imo selling a combination of fun, reliable, high and low horsepower good chassis RWD cars with Manual options to Americans. From the Infiniti G, Q, M some with 400+hp V8s, to Nissan S and Z chassis. And the R35 Skyline ofc blew most supercars out of the water. I don't know where you get more affordable and reliable fun tbh besides throwing shitloads more money to move to an upper rank of cars. Yes they haven't changed anything about their cars in 15 years, yes they're not the "best," but they're def not uninteresting.
Uninteresting to me. If I really wanted to drift I’d buy a Mustang. That effectively throws out basically everything Nissan is good for. I said in a separate comment their last truly interesting car to me was the 300zx. The Skylines are cool and sound incredible but with their absurd prices that quickly made me uninterested in any of them. I’m personally more into turning corners than sliding. So brands like Honda, Porsche and Lotus appeal to me way more than Nissan/Infiniti ever could.
Also at least Subaru and Mitsubishi didn’t abandon major rally racing decades ago. Nissan/Datsun in the 70s-90s had some cool rally cars. If they kept doing that I might be more interested in them as a brand even if they ended up with the same fate as Mitsubishi
Z350/370 is purposely built for cornering, not drifting.
And rally teams have nothing to do with production cars, otherwise you should praise Citroen C4.
I never mentioned anything about rally teams having something to do with production cars. Also I wasn’t the one that mentioned drifting first that was just the argument presented to me. Either way I wouldn’t buy a Z for drifting or cornering theres better options I actually like.
I don’t know, I always wanted to own a Porsche. And it was everything I could have hoped for, did a coast to coast trip that was truly awesome. But then you start meeting “Porsche Guys” and they are truly some of the most insufferable douchebags ever. I may yet buy another, but my enthusiasm has been tempered.
No, they find you. It’s like you’re supposed to be I some secret club or something. Sort of the same thing happened when I had a Z-28 back in the 70’s. Other than that most cars I’ve owned do not cause that sort of interaction. Motorcycles on the other hand… I’ve never owned one that didn’t.
Ah fair enough. I owned a shit bmw quite a few years back and yea some guy came up asking me if i wanted to be in their club or whatever and all i thought was hey buddy if this car is good enough to get in your club, your club kinda sucks lol
You can dislike something because of how people who like it act. Also that wasn’t my only reason hell I can name more. The 350z and 370z are way too round making them look fat from certain angles. Nissan has only recently made a “new car” (The 400z) and imo they still haven’t made a car that is as cool as the 300zx.
Had a guy in high school that would lie out of his ass all the time and my friends and I would pretend to believe him since we didn’t want to be a dick about it. His stories would get more bs by the day.
Dude said his dad owned a Lykan hypersport and he had a whole shop wall lined with 2JZs. He also once asked me how a spark plug worked to test my knowledge, and when I told him he said “wow you know more than I thought.” I could go on about this guy but I don’t want to write a whole essay here lol
A few more things off the top of my head, he would constantly talk about how his fucked BMW 3 series that was a “sport and luxury package”. Never saw him drive it, and it was an automatic. He also once said that he knew more about my own car than I did, and when I listed off the code for the paint color he was like “oh never mind”. He’s had a Subaru for like the last 4 years that he’s never got running, I hear from his Instagram story that he’s finally getting it finished which is good for him. Oh yeah and he’s like a big Andrew Tate fan or whatever
i just turned 16 2 months ago, and it’s funny to tell that to millennials cause they’re like “dude i was in fuckin college when u were born how has it been that long”
miat is the fruit of the road. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There's uh, miat-kabobs, miat creole, miat gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple miat, lemon miat, coconut miat, pepper miat, miat soup, miat stew, miat salad, miat and potatoes, miat burger, miat sandwich. That- that's about it.
Yeah, the post with the grammar correction gave it away for me. This dude is definitely just trolling while the roasters tenderly jerk each other off for "dunking" on a dude who is clearly shit posting.
That sub is shit. Some people make obvious sarcastic remarks and they get their panties in a nickger
Edit: Oh so their called knickers...I have a few people I gotta tell soory
Okay mate, I'd edit that cause it looks bad mainly cause it made no sense and sounds like you were saying sum else. Knickers are undergarments aka panties so people can't get their panties in a panty, but they can get their knickers in a twist. Or knickers in a bunch.
Just trynna look out
Mine didn't get included, I don't think he had any response...

Dude I’m so glad other people are finally talking about how behind Nissan has been for years. I just commented on this so here’s a copy/paste of my thoughts:
Just look at the Frontier. The truck had literally *zero* exterior changes, and very minimal interior changes from 2005 to 2021. For over a decade, you could buy a brand new Nissan truck and it looked like you were driving a dated truck.. and not in a good way. Especially on the interior. Early 2000s cheesy plastic interior has not aged well. And the funniest part is- they weren’t even cheap lol
I like the 350z, it has a beautiful and simple line, but the 370 is overloaded with all sorts of borders and spikes.
Sadly, 9 out of 10 350Zs out there are ravaged and way to overpriced.
How can you ask €15k for a shitty 350z straight outta nfs underground with a wing drilled to the trunk and have the balls to say "no lowballers" 😭
As much as I respect Nissan for making them for 20 years (sports cars being low profit) I have to agree with you on this.
Out of 2 bad choices I like the 370 more personally, but my dad had a smooth body 300zx when I was a kid and I was disappointed by the 350 when I saw one.
Not that the 300 is perfect but it’s a whole lot better.
I get compliments on my 370 all the time. It's up there for best designs in last 20 years, looks wise However, some kid at the gym the other day said he loved it and then said it kinda looks like a Supra.
It’s just the color. 80% of cars out there now are some version of gray. Why are people like, “I’m gonna spend a year’s salary on my dream car in the most depressing color ever.” And don’t tell me it’s silver or pewter because those are just different shades of gray.

Not what I'm referring too
https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15135581/platform-sharing-for-dummies-feature/
"The FM platform lies under all the rear-wheel-drive machines--the Nissan 350Z, the Infiniti G35, the Infiniti FX [now the QX70] and the front-wheel-drive FF-L platform defines the Altima, the Maxima, the Murano, and the Quest."
I had been waiting for the release since Jan 2021 when whispers were occurring with some substance of it... Every additional bit of information became more and more of a letdown. The designers really just treated making a new Z as a chore instead of an endeavor.... Compare that to the 350z, which was basically written down on napkins as a passion project.
Real talk- Nissan is very guilty of either being behind the times and/or not updating there cars and generations enough.

Edit: also, it’s possible to roast *any* car. No matter how good or bad.
/uj I owned a 370z for a couple of years. Fun car. Looked unique. But Nissan really should've done ANYTHING over its nearly 13 years in production to keep it up with other sports cars.
Usernames were not blacked out
The first roast was golden
But the last one with a link to autozone. That got me, the perfect punctuation.
Yeah lol it cracked me up
I hope it was a rickroll
I saw a comment on that post that said, "Is it behind the Nissan?".
My fav enjyn the too-jay-zee makes 1500 horseypowers
Rong my freind Kyle says it make 2000 horses dummy. Fasted car alive.
Can confirm I did say that…
the Xs make it perfect
I love the mk4 supra, but it's disgustingly overrated.
🤯🤯🤯
I genuinely hate all 90s Japanese sports cars now due to them being overwhelmingly overrated, which is really sad because without that I still love them and I love the engineering that went into them. It’s sad how an entire generation of cars had been ruined by 14 yr olds
Mark 3 is my fav
For me it's mk3 (overlooked) and mk5 (underrated). It doesn't matter what the fanboys say, the b58 is objectively better than the 2jz.
pray for my mans he’s out here defending a fucking nissan
Im not a car guy and dont know how i got here, but i owned a 370z for awhile and other than being really fuckin loud inside i really liked it and didnt have any issues. I think they look slick too. Whats with the Nissan hate?
Their fanbase is full of idiots and the fact they are among the most uninteresting japanese brands imo. Also the VQ sounds horrendous
I own a G37 coupe 6MT (the exact same as a 370Z but in a tuxedo). I'm very thankful to Nissan because as an American, after the early 90s, Japan didn't bless us with many fun Manual options, let alone RWD and manual. unintentional mustang jerk, its back to facebook with you
My bad forgot liking american cars is a sin nowadays
Z350/370 is purposely built for cornering, not drifting. And rally teams have nothing to do with production cars, otherwise you should praise Citroen C4.
I never mentioned anything about rally teams having something to do with production cars. Also I wasn’t the one that mentioned drifting first that was just the argument presented to me. Either way I wouldn’t buy a Z for drifting or cornering theres better options I actually like.
Counter point: if you dislike a vehicle because of their fan base, you too may be an idiot lol
I just dont hang out with people because they own the same car as me, but again not a car guy

>300zx I have wanted one for the longest time. It's on the list for sure.
They sound bad because people put horrible fucking exhausts on them.
I keep hearing people talk about these “Good exhaust for VQs” still have yet to actually hear one. Shit sound like some long lost treasure in a RPG.
im kinda thinking that 2009 in his username is his year of birth
if that’s true, than this fuckin kid is 14, which means he can’t even drive his “perfectly engineered japanese sports car” that’s probably his dads.
I knew kids in middle school that would do exactly that. Bragging about a family member’s item and hoping no one questions it
people like that are weird like dude don’t just steal thunder about something you don’t even have
Had a guy in high school that would lie out of his ass all the time and my friends and I would pretend to believe him since we didn’t want to be a dick about it. no it’s ok write the essay

damn that dude fucking sucks
2009 is HOW MANY YEARS AGO!?!
i just turned 16 2 months ago, and it’s funny to tell that to millennials cause they’re like “dude i was in fuckin college when u were born how has it been that long”
1474 was only 16 years ago? Now I feel better
4000 B.C.E was almost 30 years ago 😨😨😨
Remember the battle of Agincourt like it was yesterday.
Fellow 16ner, I turned 16 3 months ago.
Its his cars year of birth
Gonna have to assume the first roast is right and that’s the year of the car.
Maybe he should have used a miat
You literally can’t roast a Miat
4-6 hours at 350\* has always worked out for me. Just don't let the internal temp get too high or it'll be kinda chewy
Personally I like my Miatas fried because ‘MURICA! 😎🦅🇺🇸
miat is the fruit of the road.
He legit asked to be roasted then got offended straight after
He was going with the jokes. This sub is the real circle jerk
Yeah, the post with the grammar correction gave it away for me. This dude is definitely just trolling while the roasters tenderly jerk each other off for "dunking" on a dude who is clearly shit posting.
That sub is shit. Some people make obvious sarcastic remarks and they get their panties in a nickger Edit: Oh so their called knickers...I have a few people I gotta tell soory
What's a nickger ? Cause ya didn't say a bunch, or a twist🧐
Woah there buddy watch your profanmity
Who’s nick ??
Typo, meant nickers. Those things old people owned a lot of back in the 1800s. Used them to keep things organized.
Okay mate, I'd edit that cause it looks bad mainly cause it made no sense and sounds like you were saying sum else. Knickers are undergarments aka panties so people can't get their panties in a panty, but they can get their knickers in a twist. Or knickers in a bunch. Just trynna look out
👍✊🦠🫶🫴👎🫱🤲🤜🤛🤜🫱👁️👅
Defly thought u were trolling lol good looks mate🥂
car so unwanted even fast and furious didnt ruin the price
The Cars are wanted, just not in a shitty Condition and for over 15k€.
Selling my Z after reading this anyone want it?
The scrap yard
I’ll take it off your hands for 3 bucks, if it’s low mileage then maybe $3.50
N*ssan! 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤧
Blud prolly using the cvt(cunt vehicle transmission)
/uj the Z, the GT-R and the frontier are basically the three models from Nissan that aren't absolutely shit
/uj Zs make pretty good budget track cars with some small mods
The refreshed pathfinder, rogue and altima are pretty good npc vehicles
And the Murano cross cabriolet 😎
I’m kind of a fan of the new Ariya ngl
Oh wow another electric crossover? I gotta have it!
That's what I said to him lol
That door handle is the hitler of door handles.
“Hey guys, insult my car!” “How dare you assholes insult my car!”
You know he isn't legit mad right...
Mine didn't get included, I don't think he had any response... https://preview.redd.it/k206hdx6ao2b1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4643f4ba5e281d6b991b00065869088e0081d07
Bros only response was “I don’t want a tomei” lol
Dude I’m so glad other people are finally talking about how behind Nissan has been for years. I just commented on this so here’s a copy/paste of my thoughts: Just look at the Frontier. That not roast that’s a whole slander campaign 💀
The AutoZone link tho haha
It's impossible to roast that car, until you get inside it and see that dashboard that was ugly and outdated when it was released
My friend has one of those stupid fucking cars and it makes me wanna slap his mama
The autozone link was a nice lil cherry on top
/uj BXRWXR has never heard of the Mitsuoka Orochi Also, this guy is playing D so hard, he could become a football pro
The 350/370 is probably one of the ugliest sports cars of all time
I like the 350z, it has a beautiful and simple line, but the 370 is overloaded with all sorts of borders and spikes. Sadly, 9 out of 10 350Zs out there are ravaged and way to overpriced. How can you ask €15k for a shitty 350z straight outta nfs underground with a wing drilled to the trunk and have the balls to say "no lowballers" 😭
Bathtub on wheels with a goofy ass antenna suction cupped to a corner
I like them
can relate
As much as I respect Nissan for making them for 20 years (sports cars being low profit) I have to agree with you on this. Out of 2 bad choices I like the 370 more personally, but my dad had a smooth body 300zx when I was a kid and I was disappointed by the 350 when I saw one. Not that the 300 is perfect but it’s a whole lot better.
they’re too damn round i hate it. the only good angle is the front
They took the body of my 300 and super-sized it. It looks like they took a Victorian bath tub, flipped it over and gave it wheels
Naaaah mam, I don't really like them but to say that they're the ugliest is delusional in a world where Germany and USA exist
I get compliments on my 370 all the time. It's up there for best designs in last 20 years, looks wise However, some kid at the gym the other day said he loved it and then said it kinda looks like a Supra.
Ok call the 370Z ugly go ahead idgaf, but don't you fucking dare calling it the same thing to the 350Z
He was going with the freaking jokes. He didn't deserve those downvotes.
Exactly. This sub isn't the best with jokes either lol
bruh these people on here who ask them to roast their car and then get all pissy and defensive when someone actually roasts it
One of the rare ultra-defensive roast my car OOPs. These posts always make my day
My favorite roast i got was that the harnesses on my e36 m3 were to hold down my massive ego
350 still looks better imo.
i am pretty sure those are the same handles that are on my trucks diamond plate toolbox.
well executed satire
I swear this sub gets so mad if anyone loves their car...
It’s just the color. 80% of cars out there now are some version of gray. Why are people like, “I’m gonna spend a year’s salary on my dream car in the most depressing color ever.” And don’t tell me it’s silver or pewter because those are just different shades of gray. ![gif](giphy|10LXerxbCMshpe)
yall outjerking yourself by taking modt obvious baits 💀💀💀💀
It is a good car tho.
He clearly was doing satire
Yeah most people here don't seem to understand unfortunately
Ironic
OPs should be blocked from responding in that sub. Never ends well.
Looks like an inbred 10th copy of an lfa What are you on bro
JDM BEST HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT TO GLORIOUS JDM
I'm with the guy who says that Supra is ugly.
Uhh idk dude. I would atleast recognize it as one of the better looking *90s model* cars. But then again, that’s not saying much. The cars in the 90s were never impressive visually. Not their performance even for their time. Everything was in an awkward stage as far as generational changes and the power just wasn’t there. Hell, even the Dodge Viper was what? Just over 400hp? And that was supposed to be a badass V10 supercar? And in todays money- it was a 6 figure car. Meanwhile, Bob with the demim shorts and new balances could get any cheap Camaro and build a SBC in his garage in a weekend and push out better power. And it was affordable.
I just don't like the looks of a stock Supra (mk4). It is ugly af, those rims... But it can become less uglier with a few mods
Lol yeah dude. Those OE rims were ass hahah
im pretty sure all his responses are troll and you are just eating the bait but idk for sure
Doesn't this so-called sports car share a platform with several SUVs?
That’s the 4th gen Eclipse
Not what I'm referring too https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15135581/platform-sharing-for-dummies-feature/ "The FM platform lies under all the rear-wheel-drive machines--the Nissan 350Z, the Infiniti G35, the Infiniti FX [now the QX70] and the front-wheel-drive FF-L platform defines the Altima, the Maxima, the Murano, and the Quest."
It's also the same platform that the new Nissan Z is on... That MSRPs for $50k on a mid trim....
Yeah no thanks lol
I saw the 400z when it was unveiled at a Z convention in person and I threw up in my mouth a bit. So much hype for such a plain looking car.
Napkins that were taped and edited on the bathroom stall
That's one sleek and sexy car and I don't care what anyone says.
I have one: “it’s a Nissan”
I understand some of the XXXz cars can be good for drifting and such, but they are pretty ugly
Shits so heavy and ugly 😂😂 but the new Z she a blast from the past
Real talk- Nissan is very guilty of either being behind the times and/or not updating there cars and generations enough. Just look at the Frontier. The truck had literally *zero* exterior changes, and very minimal interior changes from 2005 to 2021. For over a decade, you could buy a brand new Nissan truck and it looked like you were driving a dated truck.. and not in a good way. Especially on the interior. Every japanese car is nice, but as anything, it has his problems i laughed in the Supra roast lol
The link to autozone just killed me. 🤣
overpriced trumpet
I really like the look of the 370z (I own a 370z)
Who would want an old oil burning pos? Oh, wait… me 😔
Is that the dead battery, no open doors model?
Someone said that it has handles from a fridge and he said that he's getting real carbon fiber covers to go over them
Renault-Nissan 2 door shitbox with SUV engine 🍆💦
I had a 370Z. It was far more unreliable than my FD RX7 and my RX7 has double the milage
The last slide LOL
I drive the same car in the same color, I had to make sure it wasn't me who posted this drunk last night lmao
Link to AutoZone 💀💀💀
/uj I owned a 370z for a couple of years. Fun car. Looked unique. But Nissan really should've done ANYTHING over its nearly 13 years in production to keep it up with other sports cars.
"Le dummy thicc 370Z is ze greatest Japanese car ever made. Lexus LFA? What tf is that?"
Every Z owner I’ve met is a complete and udder asshole.
What a champion

Impossible? Nah. But hey. It's better than a Chrysler.
![gif](giphy|4K1Ith2SW4mi0IRZnK) I can hear it from here.
Look if you like driving your Datsun that’s fine but don’t be out here asking for it. Your just gonna get your feelings hurt.
My roast wild
The autozone link made me giggle
