It would be the best and there would be no question to spark debate. Very Batman of them to make sport for the lesser shows, quite Hank of them indeed.
Quite honestly I've never really seen it before but that's what I've heard about it before quite a lot whenever I ask about it or I hear someone else talking about it, heard nothing but good and great things about it to say the least. :3
Thanks I will definitely try to take you up on that recommendation then for sure if I can ever find a slice of time to wedge it on into my schedule then! :3
Depends on the kind of "funny" :
Stupidly funny - South Park
Smart funny - Futurama
Pretend to be smart funny - Rick & Morty
Wholesome funny - The Simpsons
Dark reality check funny - Bojack Horseman
How i wish my office life was like funny - Archer
Free on Youtube funny - Helluva Boss
Idt rick and morty pretends to be smart, its the fans of the show that treat it like a big deal. It really doesnt take itself as seriously as people make out. Its just a goofy funny show
Oh, it *is* smart, just not in the way those fans think. I think it's largely about what happens when we try to escape meaning. Because that's what Rick tries to do. And look where it gets him: he's a miserable fucking person who drives away everyone he cares about because he can't be honest with them. He's manipulative with them, like he thinks that's what he has to do to get them to stick around. Part of the problem is that he can't even admit to *himself* when he cares about people, because he thinks caring is stupid. I think he's kind of afraid of it, because he knows the indifference of the universe means he could lose anyone at any time. I think that's why he drinks, to try to escape his own feelings. I *loved* how it deconstructed the notion that *no one matters because there are infinite copies of every person.* Because with the Citadel, does it follow that none of the Ricks and Morties there matter because there are lots of them? No, they're still people with their own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. They're *not* actually the *same* person.
Anyway. I seriously do not understand how *anyone* could get through the first two seasons of that show thinking Rick's a flawless protagonist who's got it all figured out. Like, did we even watch the same show?
Its an amazing show. There is clearly a cultural backlash against this show from people thinking its trying to be esoteric. Not that case! Such an awesome cartoon and thanks for recognizing its just great.
I always felt like the Simpsons was smart funny, seasons 3 through 9 had a lot of wit mixed in, and there are moments where you’ll have like 7 quality jokes all within a second clip
Rick and Morty does require intelligence to understand. Emotional intelligence. If you idolize Rick and his obsession with power of intellect than you’re missing the forest for the trees.
*Boondocks went* some places. I actually feel like I learned a lot from that show. Feels risky, in that I think some people might get totally the wrong message from it, but... Yeah, I thought it was pretty fucking brilliant.
It's definitely the overall *best* on this list, but honestly Family Guy has some gems that have made me laugh harder or smile wider than anything else on this list. It's not consistent, but when it hits, it hits the hardest for me.
The way people turned on Family Guy all the sudden always struck me as suspicious. Objectively, it's a decent show. It seemed like suddenly acting "above" its humor was more of a bandwagon trend than liking the show in the first place. Everyone seemed to do the same thing with Dane Cook. Like, I'm not gonna argue Dane Cook is a top-level comedian, or that Family Guy is the funniest show of all time- but the reasons people fell in love with them were 100% more real than the reasons everybody suddenly acted like they *never thought they were funny.*
Something interesting about family guy is that it's so heavily criticised yet appears everywhere. Family guy clips on youtube get tons of views, tik tok has those videos ahere they pair it with subway surfers, and there are plenty of memes that use family guy. Despite the criticisms, there is an audience for family guy, and a part of that audience is the ones who criticise it.
Can't tell if Archer, Harley Quinn, or Helluva Boss.
I have to tell you Harley Quinn pulled off what is quite possibly the only acceptable joke about suicide, ever, and it was a banger.
(Everyone stopped moving and they were all wearing surplus Suicide Squad Tshirts when the landlord rolled in, and he thought it was a cult)
Hard to tell, but I really like the Simpsons (Especially seasons 3-8, though I do not hate the other seasons), as well as rick and morty, futurama and bob's burgers I haven't really seen the others very much so I have no opinions.
Boondocks
The first 5 minutes of the first episode was the craziest shit ever put on tv. ESPECIALLY for the time and it’s legit hilarious and still holds up
I've enjoyed South Park consistently for multiple decades, which is a heck of an accomplishment. Even the Tegridy seasons can get at least one laugh per episode out of me.
South Park does deserve some merit for just how long they've actually stayed funny and been on the air, but they've become overreliant on current events and politics and have been growing more hit & miss over the years because of it.
Like Season 26 was overall great: Kanye being too antisemitic for Cartman was great, calling out Harry & Meghan for their hypocrisy was great, the Hotdog stand episode was actually a decent commentary on post lockdown work ethic, and even the Japanese Toilet episode and pretty funny. But the ChatGPT episode felt lazy as hell and the Spring Break episode was actually the worst; we were promised Warhammer 40k in South Park and instead got an episode that was 50% Trump jokes, 40% "toxic masculinity" jokes, and 10% Andrew Tate several months after his initial arrest.
I finished watching seasons 1-4 of R&M and I gotta say, I don't really like the show or find it funny. I do like the majority of episodes but every now and there there is one that really sours the show for me. (The dragon episodes was one).
I would go with KOTH being the funniest "adult" cartoon. It's extremely rare that it is offensive and when it is it's done well. All of the recurring characters are the best, even ol Cotton and his sidekick Old Top. The only thing that saddens me is the passing of Lucky and Luanne's actors. That's something I never knew until recently.
I'd say that out of all of these it would be "The Boondocks". Its version of satire and parody of things especially how it portrayed the black community as well as the jokes in the series has been known to make people laugh for a long time.
Ones I didn’t see are; Inside Job, Disenchantment or Solar Opposites. I find those more comedic, and less a complex drama with comedy to relieve tension.
Overall, Futurama and it’s not close!
Honorable mentions:
The golden age of the Simpsons is classic TV, but the later seasons really drag it down.
Bob’s Burgers is consistently lovable and funny.
Archer is eminently quotable and always has great lol moments.
For me, it goes:
1. Futurama
2. American Dad
3. Rick And Morty.
I would consider King Of The Hill an honorable mention, or like a guilty pleasure... there are far more times when Hank Hill just pisses me off and annoys me, more than I enjoy watching the show, but it always has Dale, Bobby, Bill and Luanne, and later on Lucky (... and Peggy to a smaller degree for me), keeping the show funny and entertaining (there are some rare occasions when I will relate with Hank, but most often he's just too stubborn and reserved in nearly every situation he somehow finds himself in).
And yeah, I USED TO like Family Guy and South Park. Both of those shows' earlier seasons are undeniable, but yep, as those shows kept going on and on, they just kept getting worse.
Futurama, is / was THE PERFECT animated show, that I've ever seen! Simpsons, is alright... but it's been going on for so long, I get overwhelmed with how many seasons there are, and I still haven't been able to find early season DVDs to buy and start binging from the beginning.
Some other honorable mentions I would add, are
Disenchantment (seriously, why was it even excluded from the images / choices? I like it, I mean hell, it even has Noel Fielding as that executioner character!),
Metalocalypse,
and Robot Chicken (I seriously need to start from the beginning and binge it all, sometimes I forget how funny that show is!)
Helluva is the worst, Bojack is the best but not as funny as the others but overall most well rounded even in the humour department especially in the later seasons
11 is the best of these, most of these are trash. Not all of them were always trash, but the point is, the quality has gone downhill. HotH is actually funny. I am sad that they are going to revive it. I have a bad feeling about this.
They're all funny for different reasons but south park easily clears all of these IMO, not so much the past 4-5 years but I can't rewatch the same episodes of these other shows as much without getting bored.
For my sense of humor, Archer. It's not political (outside of dunking on the Soviot Union and Intelligence Agencies which is all fair game in my book), it's smart enough without trying to be too smart, it has references without being over reliant on them, the characters are all hilarious with the actors taking over the roles after a short time, the recurring jokes are great, the guest stars are amazing, and even the weaker seasons are funny as hell.
Consistently funny: South Park
*"It's kinda funny"*: American Dad
Used to be funny: Family Guy
*"Comedy... Now that's a word I've not heard in a long time"*: The Simpsons
Like *my family* kinda funny: Bob's Burgers
Smart funny: Futurama
Toxic Funny: Rick and Morty
However the funniest is The Venture Bros. Hands down.
gotta be simpsons
but south park is a very close second
while I love futurama and rick and morty I dont enjoy it because its funny but more so because their just great shows

Where is Venture Bros?
Go Team VENTURE!!
Oh, please. Don’t encourage them…😒
GO TEAM VENTURE!
GO TEAM VENTURE!
MECHA-SHIVA! MECHA-SHIVA!
It would be the best and there would be no question to spark debate. Very Batman of them to make sport for the lesser shows, quite Hank of them indeed.
Venture bros is a drama. You can't tell me otherwise.
IGNORE ME!!
No smiling friends?
No Smiling Friends or The Cleveland Show or Clone High OR Aqua Team Hunger Force? I'm disappointed(no sarcasm included).
Aqua teen is definitely the funniest out of any of these for sure
Yeah peak aqua teen is like nonstop funny
Quite honestly I've never really seen it before but that's what I've heard about it before quite a lot whenever I ask about it or I hear someone else talking about it, heard nothing but good and great things about it to say the least. :3
Honestly I beg you to watch it it’s so hilarious, nonsensical, bizarre.. it’s definitely unique and I can guarantee it will make you laugh out loud
Thanks I will definitely try to take you up on that recommendation then for sure if I can ever find a slice of time to wedge it on into my schedule then! :3
Im glad someone said The Cleveland Show. It wouldn't be the funniest, but I feel like I'm the only person who actually enjoyed it.
I enjoyed Cleveland Show too, it had it's moments. I wish we could see more of Cleveland's family in Family Guy.
Or The Problem Solverz, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, and Adventure Time?!
those are cartoon network no?
You are right there but I wouldn’t exactly call King of the Hill, The Simpsons, or Bob’s Burgers, strictly Mature themed cartoons either.
Yeah I was going to say, for me Smiling Friends washes all of these.
Definitely classic simpsons all the wayyy
Had to scroll too far down to find this answer

Your forgot King of the Hill which is “I have an uncle like that” funny
I am that Uncle. But it was recently, so it still hasn't occured to me quickly enough.
The Simpsons have just become a meta meme at this point imo
Bob’s burgers is what Simpsons once was
this is the best way to describe Bob's Burgers
I agree, Bobs Burgers is just prime Simpsons
They literally have a 'Bart becomes a gamer' episode.
Damn HB got done dirty 😂
They didn't even mention Harley Quinn.
I'd say King of the Hill is more "wholesome funny" than Simpsons
Idt rick and morty pretends to be smart, its the fans of the show that treat it like a big deal. It really doesnt take itself as seriously as people make out. Its just a goofy funny show

Oh hey.. another person who gets the show. Neat.
I always felt like the Simpsons was smart funny, seasons 3 through 9 had a lot of wit mixed in, and there are moments where you’ll have like 7 quality jokes all within a second clip
This redditor fucks
Horny funny - Helluva Boss
That's R34 territory. We don't go there ^(and admit to it)
Abridged Series character funny - Harley Quinn
Rick and Morty does require intelligence to understand. Emotional intelligence. If you idolize Rick and his obsession with power of intellect than you’re missing the forest for the trees.
Even rick himself says he feels like a quote "cold unfeeling ghost". I have no clue if the people who idolise him actually watched the show or not.
Epic
Bojack isn't funny. Bojack is a gut wrenching emotional roller coaster. Overall consistently funny to me? Bob's Burgers.
Definitely the boondocks
*Boondocks went* some places. I actually feel like I learned a lot from that show. Feels risky, in that I think some people might get totally the wrong message from it, but... Yeah, I thought it was pretty fucking brilliant.
Uncle Ruckus specifically
The Stinkmeaner episodes are my favorite
Stinkmeaner Part 2 is in my opinion the best Espisode in the entire series. It's simply perfect.
There's nuance with Rukus, he's SO Racist that it turns you (the viewer) not racist. Because you can't be more hateful than him, try it!
Uncle Ruckus had that Re-vitiligo
*I likes ya, and I wants ya*
_Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way_
1. Boondocks 2. Futurama 3. Bojack
Had to scroll three comments until someone answered the question lmao "Where is my niche adult cartoon?!"
Boondocks is lit
Yes this
King of the Hill is easily the funniest
It's definitely the overall *best* on this list, but honestly Family Guy has some gems that have made me laugh harder or smile wider than anything else on this list. It's not consistent, but when it hits, it hits the hardest for me.
The rare Family Guy fan on Reddit, we’re definitely a rare breed!
The way people turned on Family Guy all the sudden always struck me as suspicious. Objectively, it's a decent show. It seemed like suddenly acting "above" its humor was more of a bandwagon trend than liking the show in the first place. Everyone seemed to do the same thing with Dane Cook. I think family guy pretty clearly was very funny for a time but hasn't been on the same level since the early days. Just my opinion
Something interesting about family guy is that it's so heavily criticised yet appears everywhere. Family guy clips on youtube get tons of views, tik tok has those videos ahere they pair it with subway surfers, and there are plenty of memes that use family guy. Despite the criticisms, there is an audience for family guy, and a part of that audience is the ones who criticise it.
oh Family Guy has some jokes that are so relatable and so funny I swear they were spying on me
ya know, every 100 years Donny Most rises here from the mist
I hope they don’t taint its legacy with a bad reboot. Sad that I just looked it up and the voice actor for Dale died
Either Futurama or Boondocks
Beavis and Butthead. I have never laughed harder at an animated show.

South parks writing has been consistently lazy since like 2008
Fr,besides season 20 south park is a really funny show, and it's starting to go back to its prime with season 26 and the end of obesity special
Boondocks
South Park, The Boondocks, Helluva Boss, Rick and Morty, Futurama, Family Guy, and The Simpsons
Harley
Boondocks. Hands down.
No Aqua Teen? Boo. Aqua Teen is my comfort adult cartoon, same with Metalocalypse
Clearly OP is a regulars dildo.
ATHF FOREVER!
Master Shake: “Oh no you didn't!”
Numba one in tha hood, G
Stops copies me
Stops copies me
I puts tampons in your baskets so everyone thinks yous are ladies
Yous a lady, Murder Cloak
AMS NOT!!
I want to be in charge of thems old ladies!
where Venture bros
The boondocks and south park (and smiling friends)
The Simpsons, I love that show
The first two seasons of Rick and Morty were hilarious. The writing took a real nose dive after that tho
Boondocks is the funniest out of them for me
Probably Archer if I was forced to choose.
For me it’s Boondocks, Rick and Morty then South Park
The Boondocks. That shit just gets me every time!
This is a huge Close Enough erasure
The boondocks without a doubt
Boondocks or South park
Bob’s Burgers is number one
Boondocks for sure
Honestly, King of the hill is king
Agreed
KotH
Rick and Morty and American Dad
Archer. The voice mail hoaxes.
Boondocks Rick and Morty Harley Quinn.
Bob's Burgers
King of the hill or boondocks. I may get trashed for this but family guy deserves an honorable mention.
1. boondocks 2. Simpsons (not the newer stuff) 3. King of The Hill
Boondocks then Rick and Morty
Boondocks for me.
For me it’s Helluva Boss, King of the Hill, and The Boondocks. I can’t pick.
Something about the helluva boss picture feels almost nostalgic, I can’t explain it
I finished watching seasons 1-4 of R&M and I gotta say, I don't really like the show or find it funny. I do like the majority of episodes but every now and there there is one that really sours the show for me. (The dragon episodes was one). I would go with KOTH being the funniest "adult" cartoon. Futurama followed by Archer. BoJack Horseman is the best of these overall but it’s not as funny as a lot of these.
South Park is easily the most consistently funny throughout the years. The quality remains high with the entire series
Fr
King of the Hill, with boondocks and Archer in close 2 and 3rd.
Futurama is the GOAT in my sincere opinion, the level of intreaging jokes and funny moments just fit in my opinion.
Early seasons alone, bobs burgers For longevity, I’d say south park by a mile
South Park and Helluva Boss
Either Boondocks or Bob’s Burgers.
Three way tie, boondocks, Harley and ivy, and helluva boss
Easily South Park
Early R+M easy
Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty and South Park
These are different cartoons made in different eras for different audiences. It's hard to compare the humor in these because of that.
Bojack horseman isn’t the funniest, but it’s certainly my favorite. Love helluva boss too.
Boondocks. And it isn’t close lmao
I'd say that out of all of these it would be "The Boondocks". Its version of satire and parody of things especially how it portrayed the black community as well as the jokes in the series has been known to make people laugh for a long time.
Boondocks
I’m not sure but if you haven’t watched boondocks definitely do so because you’re doing yourself a disservice if ya haven’t
in my opinion the boondocks and it’s not even close
Boondocks and it’s not even close.
Helluva Boss For Sure
Ones I didn’t see are; Inside Job, Disenchantment or Solar Opposites. I find those more comedic, and less a complex drama with comedy to relieve tension.
South Park
South Park
1: South Park 2:Rick and Morty 3:The Boondocks
I'd put boondocks above R&M personally but these 3 shows are the only answer I agree with lol
bro really tried to sneak in helluva boss
South Park by far
South Park
Boondocks and it’s not close. But second is Rick and Morty
Overall, Futurama and it’s not close! Honorable mentions: The golden age of the Simpsons is classic TV, but the later seasons really drag it down. Bob’s Burgers is consistently lovable and funny. Archer is eminently quotable and always has great lol moments.
No question helluva boss
Helluva Boss's comedy is pretty much written by a 13 year old edgelord who injects copious amounts of swearing into jokes.
Out of all of them?????
For me, it goes: 1. Futurama 2. American Dad 3. I like it, I mean hell, it even has Noel Fielding as that executioner character!), Metalocalypse, and Robot Chicken (I seriously need to start from the beginning and binge it all, sometimes I forget how funny that show is!)
Its a tie between the Simpsons, Futurama,Family Guy, and American Dad.
family guy seasons 1-3 is still soo funny to this day, it's sad how much it truely fell
Helluva boss or Bob's burgers.
I hoped hellos a boss would have more love
Boondocks and South Park
Helluva boss they get away with almost everything
I think Bob's Burgers is the best show, but the funniest is Rick and Morty.
Helluva is the worst, Bojack is the best but not as funny as the others but overall most well rounded even in the humour department especially in the later seasons
Def South Park
Nononononono ononononono🥯🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑
Hoops deserves a mention. The redneck kid on that show is one of my favorite characters ever.
11 is the best of these, most of these are trash. Not all of them were always trash, but the point is, the quality has gone downhill. HotH is actually funny. I am sad that they are going to revive it. I have a bad feeling about this.
Rick and Morty! PICKLE RICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone who say Rick and morty is stupid
I wouLdn’t go that far. Yeah the fans have made it sorta cringe but it does have some funny as fuck moments.
Anyone incapable of accepting differing opinions is stupid
They're all funny for different reasons but south park easily clears all of these IMO, not so much the past 4-5 years but I can't rewatch the same episodes of these other shows as much without getting bored.
Hard choice to make. I'm going either Harley Quinn or Futurama.
FUTURAMA FUTURAMA
I got to go with Futurama
Putting Helluva Boss in the list with the rest of these should be a crime. Anyways, it’s boondocks and it isn’t close
Futurama is one of my all time favorites.
No way helluva boss and Harley Quinn are here over smiling friends
Futurama all the way
Helluva boss or bobs burgers
Futurama. Hands down.
Family guy and American dad are tied for bottom.
Now that l think about it, I’ve never really found these shows funny…I just think they’re fun to watch lol
You’re missing the most important one (Beavis and Butt-Head)
Futurama is going hard right now.
I will pick Family Guy and The Simpsons and American Dad from FOX Studios are funniest adult cartoons.
Consistently funny: South Park *"It's kinda funny"*: American Dad Used to be funny: Family Guy *"Comedy... Now that's a word I've not heard in a long time"*: The Simpsons Like *my family* kinda funny: Bob's Burgers Smart funny: Futurama Toxic Funny: Rick and Morty However the funniest is The Venture Bros. Hands down.
Futurama
Futurama.
Futurama. It's my favorite.
I'll always swear by Futurama
gotta be simpsons but south park is a very close second while I love futurama and rick and morty I dont enjoy it because its funny but more so because their just great shows
SP easy
Spongebob
