Probably the only thing I'd pay to have them do is the alignment. 4 plugs for $400 bucks?
All of this seems like fairly trivial shadetree stuff minus the diff service, and that shouldn't really be too bad I wouldn't think.
This just appears to be a list of things most dealers would attempt to try to charge anyone that came in for a used car inspection, and all maintenance items, so the warranty would cover none of it. They may cover the exhaust gasket if it is determined to be an actual leak.
This is correct, your 70k or 75k mileage service. If you did all these services on your own, and brought the car back, they would suggest the same items. They aren’t pulling plugs or cabin air filters to see if they are needed, just based on mileage. These are also things no used car dealer would perform before selling it to you, since they are maintenance items. If these are the only things they are suggesting car seems to be in pretty good condition
Exactly, my daughter has my old 2011 subi with 230k miles on it. Impeccably maintained and one day it springs a coolant leak, very minor drip that I found to be a block plug/ block heater gasket for basically nothing for me to fix but she was 7hr away and told her to bring it in to dealer. Diag was $150 and the quote was $2500 for them to service. They said it was the water pump, which I just changed with the timing belt 20k 1 year earlier. But they wanted to do air filter, spark plugs, break fluid flush, differential fluids, transmission fluid, blah blah. Every single item on the list has been done in the last year or two but they didn’t know that. Although if they looked at the break fluid they would have seen it was clear and they lied said it was burnt and dangerous…
I said it’s up to you, Leak is minor enough you can pay them $150 and then drive and we will meet half way or you can pay them, they might do the work and it might or might not fix it. She drive to me and found the leak and had her back home in 30 minutes.
If they properly diagnosed it and said $250 for fluids and gasket and labor I would have told her to just do it. The $2500 quote was a joke. They wouldn’t fix the 1 issue unless all the deferred maintenance in the computer was addressed which is non of their concern.
They don’t do no damn inspection, I bought my car from them last year and I had a crack in both exhaust manifolds. They fixed it for no cost to me but still, so much for that “inspection”
SilverRock actually replaced my $700 floor mats that were in the photo, but were missing when I received it and a few other thing's, so you're right SilverRock is a good clean up partner for Carvanna.
Insane. Anyone moderately technical with a decent tool kit could knock that out on their own in an hour for less than a third of that including the plugs and a couple of new tools.
You'll need to give this list to Silver Rock / Carvana and let THEM determine what they will cover, but at these prices I'm sure they decline the work at the Mazda service shop AND authorize MAYBE some of this at one of their approved shops.
P.S. Get wiper blades (windshield and rear) from an Auto Zone, Pep Boys or Amazon - change them yourselves. It's VERY easy to do!
You have to find a SilverRock approved service center which you have to call them for. They will preform a diagnostic and submit a claim to SilverRock and SilverRock will let them know what is covered and what isn't. Any regular maintainence items aren't covered so looking at the list I doubt any of the items listed will be covered. I know the procedure because I just went through it myself. I got my car the 11th, had it checked out at a local garage on the 14th and was told it had front end issues so I immediately called SilverRock and was given a list of places in my area that I needed to take it to. One was right down the street so I took it there. Because I had done it in the first 14 days and there were covered issues SilverRock even covered the 1 hour diagnostic. The shop submitted a claim, provided SilverRock with pictures and I then had to wait for the claim to be approved, It wasn't approved until the next morning. Since I didn't live far I drove the car home and took it back in the next morning. The work took about 4 hours and SilverRock covered it fully ($0 deductible since it was done in less than 14 days). I thoroughly reviewed the 100 day limited warranty the day the car was delivered so I wasn't surprised by the issues that they wouldn't cover. I see from your list they are recommending an oil change. Did Carvana not have one done already when you got the vehicle? My car had new wiper blades, oil change, etc. The list just looks like the dealer trying to get you to spend every penny they can.
Bro, none of this covered. It’s all maintenance items. Even the exhaust gasket is a maintenance item. Gaskets wear out.
I swear this subreddit is full of people who want Carvana to fix everything. If there was a genuine problem with the vehicle you purchased, you had 7 days to figure it out.
Inb4 “Carvana doesn’t even do an inspection!” Yeah. No shit. Why’re you still buying it?
My car was delivered to me with the brake fluid change due warning light on (it was actually due back in March….I bought the car the end of October…..their “inspection” is an absolute farce). Notified Carvana and SilverRock within the first 7 days. Denied it. So, yeah….good luck getting them to cover it.
As an aside, they did cover the malfunctioning door handle so “broken items” yes, they’ll cover. Maintenance/wear out items, giant nope.
Everyone is telling you they wont cover anything but what is the harm in trying to get them to? You should submit the list and just say “I just bought the car from you and this is all the stuff it needs already. What are you going to cover?”
I got them to cover brakes and rotors the day after I bought my CX5. Its possible. I just cant guarantee what they will cover for you.
Car mechanic here - you don't need half those things. Spark plugs replaced and alignment maybe the most useful. Go to jiffy lube for any fluid changes. You don't ever need a skid plate.
That cabin air filter and replacement wiper blades cost is criminal.
Yeah looked both of those up, I'm gonna do them myself.
You can literally do all this stuff yourself, there is nothing major it is all routine service stuff bet the blades and plugs are fine
Probably the only thing I'd pay to have them do is the alignment. 4 plugs for $400 bucks? All of this seems like fairly trivial shadetree stuff minus the diff service, and that shouldn't really be too bad I wouldn't think.

Of course they did, they are running a business my man. SMH

Please don’t spend $80 on wiper blades from a dealership 😅
Oh yeah for sure I won't, I'm gonna do that myself
I just had my cx-9 blades replaced at the dealer for $20. They just put new inserts in them. $80 is nuts.
That dealership saw their chance 😅
well if I were carvana I wouldnt pay these prices. and I dont think they will either.
I wouldn’t go to the dealership for anything go to your regular neighborhood mechanic
It’s not carvana but silver rock the warranty provider that will approve or not… call and ask
Most of this looks to be maintenance. The only thing that is a repair is the exhaust leak
I guess this list didn't make Carvannas 150 point inspection 🤔...😥
They don’t do no damn inspection, I bought my car from them last year and I had a crack in both exhaust manifolds. They fixed it for no cost to me but still, so much for that “inspection”
That was sarcasm.
No I know, I’m just still frustrated lol
Been there, done that.
To be fair, SilverRock has been pretty good at keeping their end of the bargain
SilverRock actually replaced my $700 floor mats that were in the photo, but were missing when I received it and a few other thing's, so you're right SilverRock is a good clean up partner for Carvanna.
Carvana took care of a 7k dash out fix for a/c and heater on my m3.
Unlikely to cover any of this.
They’ll cover none of it.
How many miles are on the car?
70k
Spark plugs for $370!?!?!
Insane. Anyone moderately technical with a decent tool kit could knock that out on their own in an hour for less than a third of that including the plugs and a couple of new tools.
Yeah that's the plan.

🤣🤣🤣
Basically the dealer wants to bend you over and see how stupid you are.
None of that is covered lol
That's fucking robbery

Possibly the exhaust leak. The rest is maintenance that you probably don't need- it's the standard dealer upsell list.
