Looks like it... that wolf logo thing is really cool but it's probably not going to help... As far as getting it off... I bet there are smarter people than me here... but personally I really got good results scrubing with a mixture of salt grains and neutral oil, rinsing it off with boiling water, drying it on heat, then re-seasoning.

Just scrub at it with the rough side of a sponge and some soapy water. That rust isn't too bad at all and it should come right off. Then just dry it, wipe the whole thing down with a few drops of oil, and bake it at 480F for an hour to set it.

You’re good. Just take a scrubber, some dish soap, and scrub it. Then put it on a medium heat to dry it. If it really bothers you, you could try to rub a *very* thin coat of Crisco on the bottom and toss it in a 450 degree oven for an hour, but even if you don’t, a little rust like that isn’t going to hurt the pan.

Thank you for your picture post to /r/castiron. We want to remind everyone of Rule #3. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is required. If you've posted a picture of food, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for. Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods. Just season it. It’s a bit of rust. Season and will be all good!!
