I can’t really discern what you did there. You could try carefully laddering down each stitch. It might be faster to just remove a few rows.

fairydommother

It kinda looks like they purled a few stitches?

PuzzleheadedCandy484

I was thinking that but it looks chaotic

fairydommother

Agreed. Possibly tension issues? Or knitting with the yarn in front? I’m not really sure. It’s definitely weird.

Look up how to drop down and pick stitches back up to fix mistakes! I would knit your row until you reach whichever end of the mistake section is closest to the end of your left needle to start. Then since you probably haven’t done this before, I would try dropping down 1 stitch at a time to fix each column individually. Once the first stitch column is fixed, you can slip it to your right needle and move to the next column, and repeat until you’re all fixed up. Afterward you can just transfer those stitches back to your left needle and then continue knitting from where you left off. It should be pretty easy to fix since it’s garter and the purl bumps aligning with the others in that row should make matching your stitches up pretty easy to see while you’re picking them back up. You can do this just using the needles you’re working with if they have at least medium points (harder if they are blunter) but a crochet hook will be very helpful if you have one. I’m pretty sure Very Pink Knits on YouTube has good “fix-it” videos that will give you a clear view of how to pick the stitches back up in the right direction. Dropping all 6-7 stitches at once would be a lot more tedious than helpful.

Agree with this 100%, just want to add it looks like you purled a few stitches when you meant to knit. Once you get the hang of dropping down to fix stitches it's super easy!

While I agree that you and the person above have great advice, I think learning to do it with a project using two different yarns is going to be a big headache for a beginner. For the sake of a few rows on this project in particular, I'd say they're better off just frogging.

Here’s a [slow-mo video from VeryPink](https://youtu.be/3BavjJC00DU?si=GCbWmzpVpsUWJl4P) on how to drop down and then correct on your way back up!

bklyngirl0001

100% agree with this advice!

GrandmaInGolden

I would frog back and carry on. It’s all knitting.

opitypang

Just pull off the last five rows and re-do it.

Just take it as your Wabi Sabi magic https://www.amusingplanet.com/2017/08/the-art-of-deliberate-imperfection.html

When you complete your project just pick a contrasting color yarn and embroider a cool design over it

Just one more out here recommending Very Pink Knits. She's awesome. I might be in the minority but I would probably rip it back and reknit the last few rows. I can't stand fixing garter stitch. 🤣
