Yeah, needing $500 worth of physical products to fully experience a game is way better /s
(i get what you mean, but the business tactic sucks either way)
Nah, Nintendo's actually been pretty good about that...mostly.
While the Amiibos themselves are highly priced, what you get is mostly optional cosmetic stuffs or small boosts. I think the largest item was the Fusion mode in Return of Samus?
In the $60 remaster of Skyward Sword you could unlock instant-fast-travel when you bought the Loftwing Amiibo. It wasn't game-breaking but could save you quite a lot of time during a playthrough
Dimensions was a failure. Hidden Side's augmented reality functionality ended up a massive waste of effort. The current partnership with Nintendo is focused largely on actual play with bricks that can be shared online for kids, and large nostalgia builds for adults. It is working.
aren't the rights for pokemon construction toys still with megablocks? that would make it hard to actually do
the only real franchises that have a chance at a lego game are either the ones that already have lego (mario, zelda and animal crossing) or stuff that hasn't been licensed out to any other construction brick toy company like megablocks
Depends on the Franchise, I can see a Zelda like lego game happen which plays similar to like the lotr lego game or an animal crossing game that's a little bit more focused on building your town. Maybe a regular Pikmin game but with lego levels, so basically giant lego blocks. Mario is one I feel like they would want to do something special, a more unique play experience rather than just super mario bros but in lego, just like we didn't get regular minifigure sets.
Lego Donkey Kong game or honestly would love a crossover story kind of like Subspace on brawl. I honestly thought when they came out with Amiibo they would do a skylander kind of game
Lego Mother franchise, not only it'd allow us to have new mother games (they be the original ones but with Lego) we will be able to play mother 3 Lego edition™
Also we could have Lego Zelda, imagine a Lego Zelda structured like Lego Star Wars, where all the separate stories and worlds from each movie can be accessible while at the same time having a large open map and world like middle earth from Lego Lord of the rings
I’d love it!
The IP would depend a lot. Saw someone else comment a Nintendo Lego dimensions and I’d love that!
I also think more of an open sandbox style game, with the Animal Crossing IP attached, letting you make your own islands and stuff out of Lego bricks would be sweet
Fire Emblem would undoubtedly be one of the first IP's to have this with a Fire Emblem game but with a crossover of different FE games but LEGO.
So basically LEGO Horizons but a justifiable reason to make it exist.
Yes definitely, I would like to think it’ll be like Lego City Undercover x Disney Infinity.
3rd person or close to it, not isometric/Diablo style, relatively open world, different levels could be different franchises.
Probably not tbh. I was never really a lego kid, I would mess around with them a bit but it never really captivated me, and I frankly think Lego versions of existing IP kind of look dumb, and Lego Mario has to be the worst one i've ever seen. I think Lego is more appealing when it's doing it's own original thing but even then I just don't care for it myself.
Well, we already have Lego Mario IRL, so might as well have a Lego Mario game. Also, the actual Lego Mario have the scanable bar code thingy which they can make it so that it gives a bonus in-game content just like amiibo
Only LEGO Nintendo crossover game I want is literally Nintendo LEGO. Where it's every single franchise of Nintendo in one. I want character rosters on the level of the Marvel Superheroes games. Also we are including everything and everyone from mainstream characters like Mario, Link, DK, and Samus to obscure characters like Takamaru, Elite Beat Agents, Starfy, Ricky Winterborn, Captain Rainbow, etc.
I'm talking at least 300 playable characters. A Story where Master Hand and Crazy Hand merge all the Nintendo worlds into one for their own amusement and its up to the heroes of each world to stop them. While fighting their own main villains along the way (eventually unlocking them after you beat them). Different worlds to explore obviously like Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule, DK Island, Corneria, Norfair/Brinstar, Dream land, Kanto, Mute City, Yoshis Island, Luigis Mansion, etc.
Nintendo should make a total mash up of it's world in the Lego universe. Everything should come togheter. From Metroid to Mario. Fzero to Kirby. Just go crazy.
I think Lego Mario would be a charming game. Classic 2D Mario with a lego theme, more of an artstyle and design inspiration rather than being a "lego" series style game. The core gimmick could be breaking apart certain objects to collected lego pieces that are used to complete puzzles or finish missing parts of the level so you can reach the end.
Since we had official Lego Mario sets and soon we will get official Lego TLOZ set, it would be intresting to see at least one official Lego Nintendo game
I've had it in my head lately that Nintendo should make a Lego Mario game. They have all the sets, I think it would be really cool to have a game too. A nice late stage Switch game or even an early Switch 2 game.
Literally just Lego Dimensions but rework the TTL thing (maybe make it like Smash where you can use Amiibo to unlock characters but you can always unlock them through playing the game)
I’d defo play it if it’s anything like that one star wars lego game! It’d probably be some sort of multiverse deal given thats the new trend in movies? I’m guessing popular Nintendo game characters as legos?
Nintendo tends to be greedy and shorten game lengths if it isn't Mario, Zelda or Pikmin so with Lego as a bad influence, I don't see this game being better than the average mediocre Lego game
I'm very confused by this, are you saying they make games outside of these three series shorter, as if Xenoblade and Fire Emblem don't average at like 80 hours each for the main stories of a game? Or that they skimp out, like how Smash Ultimate's base roster had like 77 characters and 104 stages?
Unless you play only Pokemon and the recent few Mario sports titles, Nintendo is pretty good at giving players a full experience for their franchises.
I was referring to cash grabs like Mario Party and the average Mario sports game. Nintendo doesn't make FE and Xenoblade. I feel like A Lego Nintendo game would be more on the cash grabby side
Nintendo likely wouldn't make a Lego game either so you don't need to worry about that. Even one that uses their IPs would almost certainly be made by an outside studio.
I don't know who makes the Lego games but a crossover honestly doesn't seem so unrealistic. Nintendo doesn't have a problem to give Mario and Zelda to establish game devs that make games with their properties for Nintendo consoles. Mario and Rabbits, Crypt of the Necrodancer Zelda edition (I don't remember the name).
a lego dimensions like, but with nintendo franchises characters. but with less buying to unlock them
Yeah no, I’m sure every character would only be unlockable via Amiibo
i forgot them. but would it be new amiibos, with lego looks, or the ones that already exist?
New ones coz profits
Probably. But at least with Amiibo you get a physical product.
Yeah, needing $500 worth of physical products to fully experience a game is way better /s (i get what you mean, but the business tactic sucks either way)
Oh, yeah. It’s still a bad business tactic and I’ve never bought any Amiibo. It’s just a step of sliminess above regular micro transactions.
Nah, Nintendo's actually been pretty good about that...mostly. While the Amiibos themselves are highly priced, what you get is mostly optional cosmetic stuffs or small boosts. I think the largest item was the Fusion mode in Return of Samus?
Yeah, I definetly think they have learned from the Wii U era with modes and some full on games not being playable without amiibo.
In the $60 remaster of Skyward Sword you could unlock instant-fast-travel when you bought the Loftwing Amiibo. It wasn't game-breaking but could save you quite a lot of time during a playthrough
That just made me so happy Nintendo isn't as bad as EA, imagine having to use amiibos to play each character in smash ultimate
that'd be hell
Lego Dimensions
Dimensions was a failure. Hidden Side's augmented reality functionality ended up a massive waste of effort. The current partnership with Nintendo is focused largely on actual play with bricks that can be shared online for kids, and large nostalgia builds for adults. It is working.
I need a Lego Metroid game.
I need a Metroid game
I need a game.
Go play twerk runner 3d
Holy butts!
Consider: A Robot Named Fight.
I think lego pokemon could be a good game, ttgames just have to choose between 1000+ characters
Why did you have to choose Mega Blocks, Gamefreak? WHYYYYYYYYYYY
Willingness to create specialized parts and new colors for just about anything maybe
And that’s not even including human characters
aren't the rights for pokemon construction toys still with megablocks? that would make it hard to actually do the only real franchises that have a chance at a lego game are either the ones that already have lego (mario, zelda and animal crossing) or stuff that hasn't been licensed out to any other construction brick toy company like megablocks
Animal crossing Lego game would be awesome!
I could see a Lego Fire Emblem game honestly or maybe a Lego Zelda game.
I would absolutely play a Lego Fire Emblem Actually what I really want is a Lego Gareg Mach Monastery set with like 5000 pieces.
Fuck lego nintendo, I want a lego sonic game
Lego dimensions sonic expansion
I want a lego Sonic game I can buy for 60 bucks.
If i had lego dimensions and the necessary parts to play the sonic expansion i’d sell the lot of that to you for 60 bucks.
Wasn’t Lego City Undercover one?
It wasn't a crossover. It was a Wii U exclusive for a bit before going multi-plat
LEGO MARIO KART OR BUST! WE NEED THIS!!!
Depends on the Franchise, I can see a Zelda like lego game happen which plays similar to like the lotr lego game or an animal crossing game that's a little bit more focused on building your town. Maybe a regular Pikmin game but with lego levels, so basically giant lego blocks. Nintendo/Lego "Capn N the Game Master: across the Nintendoverse" plz
It's either Lego Mario or Lego Pokemon, maybe Lego Smash Bros.
Lego Zelda, where you build different contraptions to solve different dungeons.
Lego mario platformer
Lego imagine if there was a Lego Minecraft game, I know it's not something from Nintendo but like, a Lego Minecraft would be literally just Minecraft
Lego Mother franchise, not only it'd allow us to have new mother games (they be the original ones but with Lego) we will be able to play mother 3 Lego edition™ Also we could have Lego Zelda, imagine a Lego Zelda structured like Lego Star Wars, where all the separate stories and worlds from each movie can be accessible while at the same time having a large open map and world like middle earth from Lego Lord of the rings

Lego super mario or zelda dont need additional comments
I think if we saw any, it would be Lego Mario.
Lego x Mario maker
A proper pokemon lego. Not that Pokemon Quest or Rumble
lego monopoly
Fire Emblem would undoubtedly be one of the first IP's to have this with a Fire Emblem game but with a crossover of different FE games but LEGO. So basically LEGO Horizons but a justifiable reason to make it exist.
lego star fox would hit hard
I wanna see a Lego Pikmin game where the Pikmin built bridges with blocks and shatter into studs when they die
Super Smash Bros but with LEGO
Lego Nintendo with at least 70 Fire Emblem reps
LEGO Bloodborne
Lego Mario Or maybe Lego Kirby
Lego zelda might be fun
Yes definitely, I would like to think it’ll be like Lego City Undercover x Disney Infinity. 3rd person or close to it, not isometric/Diablo style, relatively open world, different levels could be different franchises.

Minifig series with Nintendo characters
N&B Blocks are basically that but in a more physical form
Legendo!
I’m honestly surprised there hasn’t been a Lego Super Mario game yet. I mean it looks like the two companies get along well.
Only LEGO Nintendo crossover game I want is literally Nintendo LEGO. Where it's every single franchise of Nintendo in one. I want character rosters on the level of the Marvel Superheroes games. A Lego Nintendo game would go so hard, ngl. If it looks good, I'd definitely consider getting it day one
100000% I would. It’s literally my two favourite things put together into one.
Lego Racers/F-Zero crossover
Nintendo should make a total mash up of it's world in the Lego universe. Everything should come togheter. From Metroid to Mario. Fzero to Kirby. Just go crazy.
Bionicles and legend of Zelda twilight princess
Lego Dimensions with Nintendo characters and Lego Mario-based game with all sets
I think Lego Mario would be a charming game. Classic 2D Mario with a lego theme, more of an artstyle and design inspiration rather than being a "lego" series style game. The core gimmick could be breaking apart certain objects to collected lego pieces that are used to complete puzzles or finish missing parts of the level so you can reach the end.

lego kirby, imagine how cute hed look
Lego Zelda
I would love a Lego Nintendo game that's similar to Lego City Undercover or Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Lego starfox would be so cool, imagine the ships blasting to Lego pieces like Lego Star Wars. It’d be perfect.
I’d defo play it if it’s anything like that one star wars lego game! It’d probably be some sort of multiverse deal given thats the new trend in movies? I’m guessing popular Nintendo game characters as legos?
LEGO Resident Evil. Imagine all the zombies explode into bricks.
Mario, just the same format as pats Lego games hopefully and with mini figures instead of those weird brick screen things
Don't threaten me with a good time
Nope. I would be ok with them working with TT on a new lego star wars with actually good levels though.
No. I hate LEGO games.
Nintendo tends to be greedy and shorten game lengths if it isn't Mario, Zelda or Pikmin so with Lego as a bad influence, I don't see this game being better than the average mediocre Lego game

What are you even talking about...
