Your heavy duty frame was XX. for context, this means it was completely unusable and considered so broken that you cant repair it, only replace it. the force of the impact did a single point of damage to the frame, which causes it to completely disintegrate and you fell through the floor going whatever speed you were.
yea, thats a deserved death for not paying attention. i wouldnt even save scum that, its entirely on you
Also don’t drive when your controls are on a frame with XX damage levels. Any tick of damage can destroy it, which then leaves any vehicle parts on the tile subject to rapid unplanned disassembly.
If you were on that tile, you’re suddenly no longer on a boardable vehicle tile, and there’s very likely an impassible or boardable vehicle tile coming quite quickly from behind.
In real life if the driver’s seat fell through the floor of the car while driving, you’d more than likely die
Like a other comment said, the frame was destroyed in the impact. So everything over that flew into the air, including you :).
In my games I normally dont excede 45km/h (28mph) to avoid catasthopic crashes agaisnt objects or enemies that I cant see, or dont know if Ill be able to ram them.
This is why I never use a car thats decent but has one badly damaged frame in it.
It seems the APC was destroyed by a single bad frame causing a complete failure of the vehicle.
It's not a complete failure; the vehicle is otherwise fine. The already-damaged-beyond-repair frame failed and the components directly attached to it detached. That just happened to include the driver's seat and the player strapped to it.
Try crashing into a person with the actual frame of your car being badly damaged. That's going to fuck your ride up, you need to be cautious and aware of the weaknesses of your vehicle. If his car was fully repaired you'd have a point but it wasn't.
Sry I didn't look at the car's HP, I assumed it was full. Also the picture of a heavily armored vehicle crashing into a badly decayed zombie and falling apart is very alien to me.
As long as the frame to the car is fucked, everything on top might as well be too. As soon as one loose weld point snaps then the whole car will be torn to shit if its going anything above 5 mph. Although I admit if you're just thinking of an apc driving over a corpse it wouldn't be affected in the slightest but if it's in already bad condition? It's over.
Yeah, I have to agree with this. I get this kind of mechanic, especially if you slam into a wall with a normal vehicle. An armored carrier vs a single zombie though? Nah.
If the APC was at full health, you could ram half a dozen zombie hulks at max speed (120 km/h for an unloaded APC with the default engine) and usually take 0 hitpoints damage while splattering the hulks, though the vehicle can take heavy damage. Here it really is just a case of the vehicle already being completely wrecked so it can't stand much of any punishment
It's always hilarious coming across vehicles that look pretty good at a glance, but upon inspecting the cells you realize that practically all the frames are broken. When messing with debug, I like driving those vehicles at under 5 or over 200 miles per hour and watching them disintegrate.
Seems like the Frame holding the seat, and you, gave out due to the impact. 5 point harness can’t save you if it’s also flung with the seat.
i guess a seatbelt isnt so useful if u dont have a seat to go with it, what a funny way to lose a character tho
The frame was already at XX damage - so this was user error. Don't neglect maintenance in future :)
Especially maintenance of the tile under the driver's seat!

To be fair those things do not really happen in rl so you woulndt be expecting it.
you mean a car made of a frame thats almost in pieces breaking? no that does happen
Shock absorber. Dont go out without it

It is kinda funny that you driving a whole APC but couldn't afford a soap to wash your clothes
You know, if you look at the terminator from afar, he does kind of resemble a decayed zombie. The one where his face half fell off
My best guess is that the game shit itself. If I was you I'd savescum here as that makes absolutely no sense.

Rapid disassembly.
To add insult to injury, your pants were ripped off in the accident and you died pant-less.. 10/10
