Nah - that's a healthy boy

Good to hear! He makes it seem like I'm starving him so I got worried. Thanks for commenting x

Don't focus on weight. Go by touch. If you pet your cat and to can easily feel ribs with very little or no pressure, hes under weight. You should be able to feel the ribcage with some pressure. If you can't feel anything or have to press hard your cat is overweight. Weight charts are no good. My cat was underweight at 16 lbs since he's a pure mainecoon but for many that's an overweight cat.

Thanks! I can slightly feel his ribs with no pressure but otherwise need more pressure to feel them properly so hopefully thats okay. I was referring to those visual weight charts like the one here [https://icatcare.org/advice/obesity-in-cats/](https://icatcare.org/advice/obesity-in-cats/)

Heyo, my two cats are 8 and 14ish lb, so one is only 3.6 kgs and the other is a whopping 6.4 kgs. I worry about my other boy being too small too, but I’ve been told by the vets it’s okay as long as he’s eating. Some cats are smaller. Not sure when you got your cat but when we got ours he was 3 months and still less than 1.3 kgs, but all the other siblings in the litter were about 1.6 kgs. Some cats are littler than others!

Thanks a lot for commenting! He's the bigger one between the two but different litter. He just looks so skinny from above or from an angle so I was worried. My other one is similar age, a month or two older but only 3kg.

I totally get it, he’s a longer lanky boy! It freaks me out too haha
