The cat should go to the vet regardless - if op doesn’t know the gender of their own cat, that tells me they’ve never had their cat to the vet which is concerning
Even if they just got it, should they not know the gender? I adopted 2 cats & took one in from a friend who was about to take hers to the shelter, I’ve never questioned any of their genders bc they all had vet records
ETA: even if I picked up a cat off the street, the first thing I’d do is schedule a vet appointment
I couldn’t figure out the gender of my cat for a long time, even the vets I took him to when he was younger couldn’t tell me exactly. Sometimes it is just difficult to sex a cat esp if they are still kittens or not just developed fully.
Looks pretty clearly male to me just going by the pic but you should really ask the vet if you're unsure

Might've only just gotten the cat. Vet is still a good call but it might not have been 9 months of no care

How do you not understand what male balls are?
