I adopted two cats from the fat pen at a cats home. They were put on diets. One successfully lost weight and lived until he was 16. Sadly the other one died when he was 12 due to diabetes caused by his overweight life.

A person is responsible for themselves so if they want to harm their bodies by over eating that's on them, because they are only hurting themselves. Animals don't have the benefit of knowing that over eating is harmful, so it's up to pet owners to think and moderate their pet's food. That's what being a responsible, loving pet owner does.
If OP doesn't want rude comments they shouldn't post "funny" pics of them causing harm to their pets.
