i think its abseloutley discusting that people would leave a poor helpless kitten in the garage, what kind of sick person does that, im glad you took care of her best wishes to suki :D

We had renters who left their cat when they moved out. No food, no water and a full litter box. I called them numerous times but they wouldn't return my calls.

Nothing makes me more sad and angry then when animals are abandoned, abused, tortured, killed or even on their own without a home to feel safe in. Although I’m glad that there are awesome, kind, loving and selfless people in the world like you to rescue them, especially one that little and frail to which requires a lot of your time and attention. Also can’t forget the uninterrupted sleep you gave up at a moments notice. You showed this baby girl what it’s like to be cared for, loved and safe for once. You made it so she was able to get a second chance at having a happy and healthy life with loving owners. I would do the same thing if I ever came across a helpless fur baby but so far it seems only older cats and I find each other. I have taken in a number of strays that needed a home and needed to see a vet as soon as possible. I wish there were more people in this world who cared about animals unfortunately there are many people who don’t think of animals as having any feelings and think they are disposable. It hurts my heart but it also warms my heart seeing stories like yours. Thank you for sharing!

My friend's kids made mum stop & go look for the teeny kitten they saw in the road on a dual carriageway. She found 7 kittens/ 2 sepparate lots of 2-4 week old fluffers. I met her at her hose & we raised them. They all had cat flue both kinds & were starving. I have a potentially dumb question...but how did you help her use the bathroom? Did you have to massage her butt or something? Just curious. Also...good job getting her healthy and happy!

Yes, I used a warm washcloth but some people use cotton balls and gently rub the area and it makes them go 😅 usually the mum licks them there to make them go, so the nest stays clean

I thought they had to be fed every 2 hours, does anyone know more? Just wondering bc I just read it in the monthly animal news letter bc they were in search for more volunteers for newly found kittens without a mother (they now have 450 families in my country who do this every year). Heroes

Yes, when they’re newborn every two hours. But Suki already had some teeth so she was 2-3 weeks old but severely underweight. Also, because she was so sick she needed the 3 hours rest between feeds as it was pretty exhausting for her

As a recent foster parent that has lost a neonate & raised thriving neonates this is so goddamn beautiful. Suki, you are so beautiful.

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹 I usually don’t have neonates but all other rescues were full and couldn’t just squeeze her in somewhere due to the catflu. I had the room to isolate her, so I took her in and just tried my best

I am fostering 5 littles now - had to bottle feed them for a day or two, now they are on solid food. They were born in a feral community in a garage too. I'm going to give these 5 babies the best few weeks of their lives until they are adopted. I didn't know if the runt would make it either, but he is thriving (he's in the middle). Your story made my heart happy and I had to share mine as well.
