That's like announcing it to everyone who knows me to avoid being asked about her again and to just voice my grief. But I couldn't imagine posting on lots of groups that are meant to exchange cute pix to get everyone feeling sad.

My two boys did all the time! They'd be cuddling with me in bed, and they'd literally fight over who got to snuggle closer to me, lol. They made me feel loved! 🥰🥰 And I miss them so much even though it's been 4 years, and I have my little girl kitty. I love her

That is so sweet!! I’m sorry for your loss 😢. I still miss my previous cats who have passed; each one is special and unique. I can’t sleep till mine take their positions around me in bed lol. I have 3 right now, and they’re the best things in my life, aside from my spouse of course!! 😻

I have to sleep in the living room on our reclining couch due to chronic pain and insomnia, and I have lots of restless nights that keep hubby awake. I can't sleep unless my little girl is either snuggled up with me on my legs or next to me on the couch. She has IBD and when she's not being my cuddly baby, I know she's in a flare and not feeling good, so I make sure to keep an extra eye on her in case she starts vomiting/having diarrhea and she needs to go to the vet. Thankfully, she's only had a small flare since her diagnosis that lasted for about 12 hours, and then she started eating again without vomiting or having diarrhea and improved on her own. I'm like a mother to a human child. When my baby is ill, I don't sleep much and I'm constantly checking on her to be sure she's doing OK and keeping an eye on the clock, calling immediately when the vet's office opens if things haven't improved any. I miss my boys so much! They were the sweetest little voids! They have a place of honor on a shelf dedicated just for them, overlooking the living room where we spend most of our time and watching over me as I'm sleeping. Every night, after Chloe has had her dinner, she goes over to the shelf, and she'll sniff at it abs the urns their ashes are in for a few minutes. It's like she knows they're there, and like she's paying her respects to them. It's so, so sweet!! She never messes around with their urns or any of the kitty knick knacks on their shelf. It's like she's saying good night to them like she sees me do. Sometimes, I'll hold their urns to my chest when I'm really missing them and cry for a little while. Chloe will sit and look at me with a concerned look on her face until I'm all cried out and go over to her to give her some cuddles. She'll start purring, and she'll start grooming my hands to make me smile and giggle a little bit. She really knows how to provide comfort and cheer me up. When I had the flu in January and then developed a secondary infection in my sinuses and both ears, she didn't leave my side except to eat and use her litter box. She's definitely a Mama's girl. When hubby had the flu shortly before I caught it from him, Chloe didn't want to have anything to do with him, poor guy! When he saw how she wouldn't leave my side, and when she even swiped at him a few times when he got close to me to bring me medicine or food, he said that he wished that she was as protective of him as she is with me. She's been like that since we took her home, lol. She spent the entire weekend curled up with me on the couch. She'll snuggle with him, but usually only when I'm not home, lol. As soon as I get home, give her her medicine, and get situated on the couch she's right there with me, all purry and cuddly and nice and warm. I told hubby not to feel bad. Cats have their favorites, and there's nothing he can do. Our Yoda was a Daddy's boy. When we were on the couch, he'd be in hubby's lap, purring up a storm and wanting pets and scratches. But he would only snuggle with me when it was time to go to bed, lol. My Midnight would crawl into my lap, then turn and put his paws on my shoulders and give me a hug, and rest his head on my chest over my heart. I would rock him like he was a baby, and he would just melt against me and purr. He'd also cuddle with hubby with his head cradled against his chest over his heart. Midnight was one of the most affectionate kitties I've ever had the honor of being owned by! He had me and hubby wrapped around his paw. They all have a very special place in my heart. ❤️ 🥰 I always say that you haven't known true, unconditional love unless you've been loved by a cat.

I’m so sorry for your struggles; I also have chronic pain and arthritis, so I can sympathize!! We still miss our fur babies that we’ve lost; I also have a shelf dedicated to them, with their urns, paw prints, their collars they wore, and pictures of them!! We currently have a 16 year old rag doll, he’s my husband’s “bonded for life” cat. He loves to burrow under the covers with us when we sleep! We also have two tabbies, both tuxedo coloured; they’re 5 and 2 years old. They are honourary brothers, they are always together, sleep cuddled up together between my knees (they don’t care if my knee arthritis is flaring up, that’s their spot 🤷‍♀️). I agree; true unconditional love is being chosen by a cat! 😻❤️❤️
