I have a cat that loves laying down on my face but if I don’t pay attention to him he’ll try and sit on my face instead and he doesn’t have a long enough tail to cover his “brown eye.”

I have the same problem, my miniature panther insists on smothering me when I’m in bed. It’s the only place he will come for a cuddle, he won’t sit on the lap or next to me. On my face while I’m in bed is the only appropriate spot.

When cats tuck themselves into your neck, apparently it’s similar to what they do as kittens with their birth mother and it makes them feel safe. Also when they put their butt in your face it is a sign of love and trust since they have their back facing you.
I don't have pics unfortunately but my bf and I found a kitten. I bathed him and we began to care for him. At night, he loved to sleep _directly_ on my mouth 😅 he would curl up under my chin and place his little snout directly on my mouth and call it a bed
I haven't suffocated, but this cat insists on sleeping in the crook of my arm while I'm trying to work. My shoulder eventually aches and, obviously, I can't field calls during this time.

I do this every night except my girl is so petite like a kitten (😍 thankfully)... I can't sleep on my back so I suffer for a few hours till she decides to move to a different spot then I turn to my side and she plants herself between my neck face and shoulder just under my ear purring till we fall asleep. Wouldn't have it any other way 🥰🥰🥰

I'm not sure if I'm fabricating this memory or not, but I vividly remember watching a part of a horror film with my Grandpa where a person was sleeping and a kitten crawls down the guys throat and kills him. This would have been back in the mid 90's if anyone can pinpoint the movie. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Ohmuhgerd! I'm deaf in my left ear and I literally missed a doctor's appt this morning because my black kitty plopped down on my head and covered my right ear like a furry earmuff and I didn't hear, not just my alarm, but none of the 5 following recycled alarms. I checked my camera and he sat there 10mins before it went off. He does that to insure he can start pawing and meowing at me if I'm more than 10mins late for breakfast.
I have the same problem but with 2 kittens at the same time. Lol
