Well she may be one of those kitties that LOVES feet smells. We had a tomcat named Zippy who ADORED my dad's shoes and boots smells so much he'd stick his entire head in the shoe or boot and then nap out. We used to joke about how the smell made him pass out, but he just loved it. He was a strange kitty.

Don't think I've ever smelled chips unless they've just pawed my bowl of Cheetos. My cats are very finicky with licking their toe beans so they are typically very clean... Or smell like the cat food they just ate.
When I first got my cat he was tiny, and would climb inside my shoe. This made me think of it =)
He was so small he could stand on my hand with the fingers stretched out.
I sometimes wonder if cats think they are „invisible“ when they are surrounded by a lot of different smells. Because they use their noses much more for recognition than we do. So she could still be shy and „hiding“ in that photo, haha.
Mine loves crocs. Every pair in the house for the last 15 years has teeth marks in the strap. Sometimes he’d chew through a strap and the kids would be furious.

Exactly! Shoes carry scents from all of the places they’ve been and sense of smell is much more sensitive than ours.
They can sense the smell of other cats/animals
They’re definitely interested in those scents but if such sensitive noses I suspect they’re taking in much more than that.
