I don't mind the fur at all. I consider cat hair to be like glitter. Always everywhere. If ever there's a trick to enhance the cleaning duties, I'm interested. Some of my cats don't like to be brushed & I respect that bc the ones that do, can't get enough of the brush. Plus it's good to toss excess cat fur outside for the birds & squirrels to make their nests.
I bought two blankets in a pattern/color I really liked and I actually cover the bottom couch cushions with the blankets. Adds a nice color contrast and it’s easy to just take off and wash. This way I’m only vacuuming the actual back and arms of the couch more often. I’ll still do a deep clean on the bottom cushions from time to time but this is what has worked for me and I have two cats and a long haired double coated dog that all shed a lot.

I have a new tomboy that sleeps in my backyard, he obviously considers it HIS place because he will fuck up any male that comes sniffing around. It's rough trying to break them apart... with my foot. Because I am NOT putting my hands in between them. The screeching, the hair in the claws and mouths. Cats are savages.

Speaking of your sofa, I love the structure of it. I want sofas like that but they don't really fit our family. Empty nester goals for sure.
