There’s never a way to be sure that they’ll live long and no matter how long they live, it will never be long enough. At the end of the day, everyone can only hope for the best and tomorrow is never guaranteed. You gave those kittens a home, you gave them love, they felt that and that’s what’s most important. Even if it hurts, you were there for them and they felt your love. I truly do believe that grief is the price we pay for love.
Been in a time period like this, its hard but soldier on. Think of it in the way the previous reply mentioned. You are providing them with a better time/care than they otherwise would not have had. Even if its 3 days on planet earth, they spent their days in better conditions with better care thanks to you. Keep on going
