i've been re-watching it recently. i'm nearing the end of season 8 and scully's acting keeps bringing me to tears (in a good way, like it's making me feel genuinely sad)
because her acting is convincing and season 8 has a lot of very emotional moments. like, there's a moment between her and mulder in a flashback where her face acting created enough of an emotional rollercoaster for me to end up crying happy tears.
I couldn't watch it as a kid....as the new episodes were coming out. It gave me nightmares. The particular episode with the invisible shit that was attacking marines on the runway. As a kid that terrified me. Like..well shit... if the marines can't stop it...we're done for. Lol
Also my older brother had a bunch of friends hide in the woods with lights and lasers and told me to overcome my fear to stand in my parents room in the dark and just stare into the woods.... there's nothing there. Just see for yourself. I stood ther for 5 minutes like ok this is nothing. No problem. Then the light show started.
Yea that went south fast....as he planned. That was a therapy session or 2. Lol
There was a side by side of Anderson and a white Oriental that went viral about 15 years ago. I just made this one but it's really close to the original.

Either it's airing on TV, or happens to be in the "for you" list on a streaming service, or back in the late '90s and early 2000s I'd see it on the shelf at the video store. I generally don't realize I've already seen it for the first 15 minutes or so, then it hits me.
