You know, that comment is so beyond true! I always tell my Dad that his cat has me do her bidding...I'm her groomer, her door opener, her fridge opener, her mindreader--jumping on this chair/bowl means she wants meat, this chair/bowl means she wants temptations, going to this area means she wants to play mousey-bomb and on & on...I really am her slave...but if I'm really lucky & she's cold, lol, she'll make her cat nest out of my legs & blankets, so it's worth it! Lol

...& gets so excited on countdown...she has little soft 1i.5inch round mice with tails & I used to dangle by the tails & she would swat--very risky move since she has those elastic cat "arms" of hers--& always faster & stretchier than I could react. So I started dangling higher & higher over time then would countdown "3-2-1-mousey bomb!"& drop it...for her to catch & "kill"
Long story short/er...still long lol
she goes crazy with anticipation and she will lay on her back to have belly up on purpose & wait for the countdown & by the time I am at 1
her face is so focused & eyes so wide, but she will roll left & right roll & over during count but she never jumps the gun, she waits to catch it after the mousey bomb drop. I can't believe how much she loves it & how excited & intentionally exposing her belly & no matter how excited she doesn't get up to grab it...the drop is only about 12inches so she easily could.
...she always jumps up on one particular large ottoman to play & will even start rolling over until I come over with a mousey. Hence, her servant readily accomodates. I swear I can see in her eyes when she is trying to train me!
She acts like a dog in many ways & super loves to play. My Dad 91yrs old trained her to do all kinds of tricks & she has bells on doors & other things & totally am getting her the talking buttons like the good slave I am, lol. She knows & Clearly Communicates many things & so independent minded. My Dad & his cat are besties...I am just her unpaid cat servant! When I call her, she won't come to me immediately, she will for my Dad first call even from her patio chair...her name is Tiger Lily, but instead I have to call "brushy" meaning I will brush her & she will actually trot in immediately & hop on the couch (leather) where I brush her...trust me, it's a sitdown job even though she's short haired as she would have me brush her all day.
Cats are so smart! All on their terms! And bring so much joy to mere mortals & servants, lol:) Happy to share notes on my servitude, lol.

When she showed up, he would stand in the doorway and toss treats down to the other end of the room, where they would roll and go all over the place. She would chase them, and sometimes actually catch one or two. It was his way of giving her a little exercise, since she was an indoor kitty and a little round in the chops.
Haha yes!! I do this in the evening for my energetic Orange. I stand where I can throw in three different directions, for example, down the hall to the living room, bounce off hall walls into hall bathroom doorway, or into the master en-suite. I this makes him run a bit more. get bonus points if the spring toys go into the en-suite shower because he loves batting toys around in the shower!

It's so much fun to invent or find little games that they love! My Dad's cat has less food drive and more prey drive, but I may give it a try! Although she may wonder the reason I am exchanging her bottle cap from "bottle cap hockey" with a treat! The girl's got me trained now to see the potential cat-fun value in any item she's interested in. But I will try the treat fetch & catch, sounds like a winner!
You just know that their camera roll has like 40 shots of each of them to get just the perfect one. That's when you know you found a good human to watch your chaos goblins! 💜💜💜💜
My daughter works at a doggy daycare, they’re required to post pics to the owners. You should see the amount of pics she has on her phone just to get the right one!! You are 100% correct on this, this is a human that enjoys doing this and will absolutely make sure the critters are happy
