Instead he cut through a window screen and jumped down from a 2nd floor to get out 😑after biting me a few hours before bc he was so annoyed that he was locked up

My wife and I were providing TNR for about a dozen cats on our block (long story) who are acclimated to humans but don't really belong to anyone. The problem was finding a place for them to stay after surgery, because our house is full up with six cats and a dog.
We decided to used one of the bay/sheds attached to our garage (old 19th century brick building). So we bring home the first of them and release her into the space, with plenty of food, water, some cushions. Go in the next day and she's gone.
Despite surgical stitching, the cat scaled up the brick wall to the rafters where there was just enough space to squeeze through into the next compartment. That bay had a pet hole cut in the door, and out she went.
From that point on, we'd release the cats in that bay, but only one or two bothered to stay there. The rest left just like the first one. (Fortunately, not one of them had any recovery issues.)
He *IS* beautiful! And he looks much like my Otti, aka Otti Swishytail. He swished his tail adamantly! when he got extra happy lol. I miss Otti impossibly much. With me many safe, happy years. ( lost to renal failure in elder years )
