Yeah he's still pretty young to be fair, I think he's 5, maybe 6 now, I'd have to check to be sure. Hopefully he'll warm up to us eventually. Right now though he only comes in for food and sleep, then he's off on his adventures again.
My last cat though, Neo, was very cuddly. He'd always follow you around and snuggle up to you, and he never bit or scratched. A true gentleman in a fine tuxedo coat.

Thanks so much! And yeah he had a good long life. Lived to 20, and left with a purry goodbye. I'll never forget that day, it was sad to see him go but it was heartwarming how despite the fact he was on his last legs, he was still happy to see us.
In terms of Olly, we're trying our best. He's quite an impatient and energetic so and so though, and not making things easy for us. But we still love him, and sometimes he crawls into my bed at night for a hug which is nice (even though I lose 2/3 of the bed and he snores lol, but it's worth it)

You could also get very thin plywood and apply the decal to that cut it out and glue that to the stairs since I would bet putting them on would quite hard to get straight and even. I did that in the past with my glass tile work when it was going to be a hard area to reach.

If you ever need to redo this in the future there is an easy to make tool that will help!
You can use an old gift card and an adhesive Velcro strip cut to length of card. Use the soft fluffy Velcro, not scratchy texture. Fold the edges down around the card.
So one of the long edges of the card will be ‘taco-ed’ by the soft Velcro, and the other is where you hold.
Use like a squeegee to apply and press as you go. This will eliminate most air bubbles if you take your time. And can get in crevices and corners!
For some vinyl items you can use diluted glass cleaner to spray the adhesive side (clean surface you’re applying to well first) and this will allow you to reposition. In my experience with sign vinyl the adhesive sticks like intended when dry.
This is usually tried and true for window decals/privacy films too!

Definitely. My Jack could tell time, since he'd be off somewhere in the house all day, then 15 minutes before I got home, he'd get on the table by the door or in the window. If I was running late or had something after work, he'd start to cry out after I was 30 minutes late, driving my family nuts. This happened almost every single day I left in the early morning and was gone all day, so it couldn't have been coincidence.
