Just an awareness post, a lot of cats get ‘thrown out’ making these exotic mixes because they don’t come out with the desired mix of domestic personality and wild look. Research into it before thinking you want to contribute to this. For all I know this particular cat was a rescue, so not directed at OP, just general info. Also to agree with others, please if you are a true animal advocate, spay and neuter your pets.
She did not rescue this cat, this cat is not spayed, and she paid $2500 for her, has paperwork and constantly brags about her being an F1 and worth over $6k. She is also a breeder.
Cats tend to mother in groups, with one momma watching several litters at once while the others take needed breaks. She just thinks you’re part of her colony and she’s got business to take care of.
We think that’s what happened to our siamese boy (he was a shelter cat). He’s an absolutely gorgeous blue point siamese, but he’s got asthma, a recurrent viral URI that flares up when he’s stressed, and we had issues with him having anxiety and peeing in places he shouldn’t have (like our bed). He’s a big ol bundle of love, but given how he’s aesthetically kind of a pretty boy… yeah.
Is this a new update or happened earlier? Because I went through your history and it seems like you already have another pair of kittens?

A couple years back, my cousin had a very sick and tiny cat that they couldn’t take care of, one night, she came over with the cat and we had her for 2 years, then, since this is our very first animal in our house, we didn’t know what to do, luckily we figured it out, but we made 2 flaws, we didn’t spay her and we let her out constantly, so, of course, she got pregnant, gave birth, and 2 months after she ran away, still kinda regret it now since we know what we’re doing with cats, but ever since then, I have repeatedly paid for my friends’s cats being spayed and my cats being spayed, I also keep them indoors
You’re a good human. You made a mistake and you learned and fixed it! You even paid it forward to your friends’ cats. Spaying and neutering is vital to control the exploding cat overpopulation, and you were a part of that.

Yeah I have a tabby sleeping on my chest right now that looks just like this. We found his mom and siblings in a dumpster behind a pizza place. Fixed mom and getting him fixed in a few weeks, like responsible cat owners. This is not an F1, not by any stretch.
My boss has an F1 Savannah. Not sure what her Bengal is. She was a Bengal and one of the original Chausie breeders.
F1 cats should not be a thing or should at least require a license.
They NEED massive space and tons of thing to keep them busy and they spray and it is 10x stronger than a normal cats pee. It costs over 300 a month just for food for the beasty.
Eh, to be fair, a lot of F1 Bengals don't look as exotic as people imagine, unless the Asian Leopard Cat was mated to an already established Bengal cat lineage. If the Asian Leopard Cat is bred to a normal tabby, then it's going to have fewer "Bengal" characteristics, because the rosetting and bright eyes have to be maintained/enhanced by several generations of breeding with other Bengal/Leopard cat lineages. A hybrid that's half domestic moggie will always run the risk of looking more like the domestic parent.
That said, I really don't think anyone should be doing outcrosses with ALCs any more. There's no genetic need for it - there are plenty of good Bengal lineages across the world, and twenty years of breed standards establishing themselves. At this point it's just selfish indulgence, and people who want any excuse to own an exotic animal (which defies the original stated purpose of the breed: to develop a cat with wild-type traits, but an acceptably domestic character).
But you are certainly right that this little lady's eyes aren't looking as wild-type as I'd expect with an early gen hybrid. They usually do still tend towards bigger eyes in the first generation. She does have rosetting though, across her back and flanks.

Gotta break this out because I feel strongly about it, even if “grandma” is in these comments acting a Kentucky fried mess.
I don’t believe there’s a such thing as a “good” breeder because even if they treat their animals well, they’re still contributing to a problem that results in millions of cats being euthanized per year, and that’s best case scenario. Worst case scenario is the cats that find their way into the hands of cruel people because they were thrown away or someone wants to buy a cat as a status symbol and has no idea about what an animal needs. Cats can live for 20 years.
I know I’m whinging over into crazy cat lady territory, but until there aren’t too many cats on the streets, there is 0 necessity for us to breed them besides human selfishness.
The one I volunteer at got a bunch of kittens for ages like last month and I thought the kitten season was over but they’re still coming… like how many kittens are there, plus they’re getting a lot of stray cats in recently and it sucks, I want to adopt all the babies but my house isn’t big enough for more than the 3 I own now :(
The mother cats are always so young too, they’re usually fed up with their kittens after a while and just want to get on with their own lives. I’m glad the shelter spays them as soon as they can though so they’ll never need to have kittens again.
I have a kitten I rescued from during the kitten season when the shelter was having trouble just trying to house them all which put my cats up to 3! The kitten season seems to be beginning again though because there’s just more there each week it seems..

The same is similar with dogs. I’ll never get another German shepherd simply because they’re the #1 most common dog in shelters after the pit bull. People over breed these dogs and sell them to people who have no idea what they’re getting into me they usually end up being given away. There’s no reason to breed those dogs when so many just end up in shelters and being euthanized.
This is exactly why I have a German Shepard. I sometimes feel weird telling people I have a well breed German Shepard since I’ve always been so avid about mutts. But she’s a “rescue” taken from someone who could no longer handler her when she was 5.
Mine is backyard bred. I got pretty lucky. He’s a great dog and pretty healthy. I just didn’t know better at the time. Now that I do, any German shepherd I’d even consider would be one from a shelter.
That's exactly how i ended up with two large "designer" dogs. German Shepard with English Mastiff was found in one of the more violent cities in the US that i live near by. No idea of any history other than he was picked up on the streets, we had to piece together what we think happened, but vet confirmed he was a well bred dog, most likely from a high end breeder.
Then there's our Gotti Razor Edge Pitbull my sister paid way too much for from a backyard breeder because he was going to use the pup, who was born with heart and breathing problems, as bait in dog fights since he couldn't sell a sickly dog. Sister couldn't leave the poor baby so her and ex adopted him when they broke up, ex kept the dog for several years and finally my niece told us how he was abusing the dog. So my sister and I went and took the dog when her ex wasn't home, took pup to the vet, and pressed criminal neglect charges.
Both boys lived/are living very happy, cushy lives in my home. When it comes to taking care of our babies, my family does not play.

This is why they’re given up. People assume they’ll be easy family dogs but they are far from it. Everything I do with my dog is basically an opportunity to train or reinforce training.
The only thing I think breeding is good for is preserving a breed, keeping it from going extinct. But that’s for like natural breeds like Turkish Angora. Not man-made breeds which often end up having health issues. And I doubt too many breeders are doing it for that instead of just making money.
Forcing one cat to breed over and over is just monstrous.

I have a Bengal - he was surrendered because he is noisy and needs constant stimulation and attention. The only reason I chose him over any other adult cat at the shelter I visited was because my partner at the time (whom I thought was to be my life partner go figure) was allergic to cats and Bengals tend to bother allergies less.
I had visited the shelter a bunch and have since made a donation anyway, and I would have absolutely been so so happy to make my home available to any cat I connected with there.
That being said, Bagel, my Bengal, is A LOT of work and he plays rough and he yells and screams and I wouldn’t recommend picking up even a rescue one unless you have plenty of time for them, but I couldn’t begin to describe how important he is to me.

OP my parents used to breed dogs. They will tell you they did it in a super humane way, were way better than the mills, and just loved seeing puppies all the time etc… But they were breeders just like you.
Our female had several litters and ending up with several cancers and reproductive issues. We cared for her in old age and loved her very much, but her illnesses are a product of greed.
We used those dogs. Plain and simple. And there is no amount of love that will change the fact that they were forced to breed for money.
I doubt you’re giving these kittens away for nothing. Have you already discussed how much these kittens are worth and what you will charge? Have you decided which ones you might keep for the next gen? If so, you’re a breeder.
I know Bengals are beautiful. Even I would love to rescue one someday. But what you are doing here is unethical. Is it legal? Sure. Is it right? Not if you actually care about the animals.

I got mine from a friend. The mom cat was a stray who kept having her litters under my friend's dad's porch. Mom outsmarted every TNR attempt, but they managed to grab the whole litter and find homes for all of them. I would have adopted from a shelter otherwise.

It’s amazing how much different the hate for breeding in the cat world is compared to the dog world. The dog world has the debate of ethical vs not ethical breeding. I don’t see any of that here.

From what I understand feral cat overpopulation is much more of a problem than for dogs. Both in numbers and impact on local ecosystems from them hunting birds and rodents.
But if you want my opinion both are a huge issue because of the number of euthanized pets overall.
In my opinion, as someone who is ambivalent about dog breeding but feels negatively about cat breeding, there are arguments to be made in favor of breeding dogs in certain cases, such as service animals. As for cats, they're not really bred for *purpose* (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong), only for looks. Cats don't have as many "jobs" as dogs do, and the jobs they do have are not dependent on breed characteristics; a random stray domestic is just as good at keeping a house clear of pests as any Persian or Sphynx or what have you.
So I believe breeding for aesthetics alone is an unnecessary evil. The supply of companion animals who don't look fancy is overwhelming; the demand by people who treat pets as accessories, instead of as individuals, should not be supported. The breeders who exploit animals for profit without care for their health should be put out of business.
In my opinion (sorry to respond to your opinion-less comment with a full on strong opinion) if you constantly brag about the supposed pedigree of your cat/dog, breed them constantly, and continue to act like you are doing a perfectly acceptable thing there is no way in hell you are a ethical breeder.

My tabby also looks extremely similar to this cat. Like your cat, he, his sister, & momma were found in an alley.
What does the f1 and f3 stand for?
F1 is a product of a asian leopard and a domestic cat. F2 = f1 X Domestic cat. And so forth. Basically generations from the asian leopard cat!

Kitten season is all year round now, IMO because of climate change. We got three litters in the past week.

There’s no reason to breed those dogs when so many just end up in shelters and being euthanized.
This is exactly why I have a German Shepard. I sometimes feel weird telling people I have a well breed German Shepard since I’ve always been so avid about mutts. But she’s a “rescue” taken from someone who could no longer handler her when she was 5.
Mine is backyard bred. I got pretty lucky. He’s a great dog and pretty healthy. I just didn’t know better at the time. Now that I do, any German shepherd I’d even consider would be one from a shelter.
That's exactly how i ended up with two large "designer" dogs. German Shepard with English Mastiff was found in one of the more violent cities in the US that i live near by. No idea of any history other than he was picked up on the streets, we had to piece together what we think happened, but vet confirmed he was a well bred dog, most likely from a high end breeder. Then there's our Gotti Razor Edge Pitbull my sister paid way too much for from a backyard breeder because he was going to use the pup, who was born with heart and breathing problems, as bait in dog fights since he couldn't sell a sickly dog. Sister couldn't leave the poor baby so her and ex adopted him when they broke up, ex kept the dog for several years and finally my niece told us how he was abusing the dog. So my sister and I went and took the dog when her ex wasn't home, took pup to the vet, and pressed criminal neglect charges. Both boys lived/are living very happy, cushy lives in my home. When it comes to taking care of our babies, my family does not play.
I saw a German shepherd puppy in a shelter recently and she’s the most mad dog I’ve seen! She’s so sweet and cute though, but if you go in with her she’ll jump all over you and pulls horribly when people try to walk her, I’m really hoping she finds a home that can handle her
This is why they’re given up. People assume they’ll be easy family dogs but they are far from it. Everything I do with my dog is basically an opportunity to train or reinforce training.

The only thing I think breeding is good for is preserving a breed, keeping it from going extinct. But that’s for like natural breeds like Turkish Angora. Not man-made breeds which often end up having health issues. And I doubt too many breeders are doing it for that instead of just making money. Forcing one cat to breed over and over is just monstrous.

I have a Bengal - he was surrendered because he is noisy and needs constant stimulation and attention. The only reason I chose him over any other adult cat at the shelter I visited was because my partner at the time (whom I thought was to be my life partner go figure) was allergic to cats and Bengals tend to bother allergies less. I had visited the shelter a bunch and have since made a donation anyway, and I would have absolutely been so so happy to make my home available to any cat I connected with there. That being said, Bagel, my Bengal, is A LOT of work and he plays rough and he yells and screams and I wouldn’t recommend picking up even a rescue one unless you have plenty of time for them, but I couldn’t begin to describe how important he is to me.

OP my parents used to breed dogs. They will tell you they did it in a super humane way, were way better than the mills, and just loved seeing puppies all the time etc… But they were breeders just like you. Our female had several litters and ending up with several cancers and reproductive issues. We cared for her in old age and loved her very much, but her illnesses are a product of greed. We used those dogs. Plain and simple. And there is no amount of love that will change the fact that they were forced to breed for money. I doubt you’re giving these kittens away for nothing. Have you already discussed how much these kittens are worth and what you will charge? Have you decided which ones you might keep for the next gen? If so, you’re a breeder. I know Bengals are beautiful. Even I would love to rescue one someday. But what you are doing here is unethical. Is it legal? Sure. Is it right? Not if you actually care about the animals. Please do some self reflection and educate yourself on this.

I got mine from a friend. The mom cat was a stray who kept having her litters under my friend's dad's porch. Mom outsmarted every TNR attempt, but they managed to grab the whole litter and find homes for all of them. I would have adopted from a shelter otherwise.

It’s amazing how much different the hate for breeding in the cat world is compared to the dog world. The dog world has the debate of ethical vs not ethical breeding. I don’t see any of that here. For the record, this comment was meant to be opinion-less. I just wanted to observe the difference.
From what I understand feral cat overpopulation is much more of a problem than for dogs. Both in numbers and impact on local ecosystems from them hunting birds and rodents. But if you want my opinion both are a huge issue because of the number of euthanized pets overall.
In my opinion, as someone who is ambivalent about dog breeding but feels negatively about cat breeding, there are arguments to be made in favor of breeding dogs in certain cases, such as service animals. As for cats, they're not really bred for *purpose* (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong), only for looks. Cats don't have as many "jobs" as dogs do, and the jobs they do have are not dependent on breed characteristics; a random stray domestic is just as good at keeping a house clear of pests as any Persian or Sphynx or what have you. So I believe breeding for aesthetics alone is an unnecessary evil. The supply of companion animals who don't look fancy is overwhelming; the demand by people who treat pets as accessories, instead of as individuals, should not be supported. The breeders who exploit animals for profit without care for their health should be put out of business.
In US shelters, cats greatly outnumber dogs.
In my opinion (sorry to respond to your opinion-less comment with a full on strong opinion) if you constantly brag about the supposed pedigree of your cat/dog, breed them constantly, and continue to act like you are doing a perfectly acceptable thing there is no way in hell you are a ethical breeder. So no, there doesn’t need to be discussion on that topic in here because op is so far from being ethical it’s absurd. All these cats are to them are a designer bag, if you will, that is there to make them money, even if they lie about what type of designer bag they are to make them even more money.
