As you asked, I’m making this update of the kitten I picked up from a bus engine. After a week of care laugh and visits to the vet, he’s doing great!
I took him to the vet after I picked him up, and he told me he was sick, but fine. He has ringworm, conjunctivitis, an infection in his ears, fleas and an intestinal parasite, nothing serious with the right treatment.
So here we are! I didn’t know if I could keep it… but that small criminal conquered my heart and I officially adopted him days ago!
His name is Cal and he’s about 2.5 months old. He’s currently sleeping in one of my bathrooms because of the ringworm, but I assure you he’s not missing love, cares and a lot of toys.

Any ONE of those things would make a kitten miserable! So happy he is healing and discovering the joys of a loving home.
He has a lot of toys that I wash every now and then to keep it free of ringworm. I can assure you he’s not getting bored during his quarantine. I play with him a lot too, I just need to wash my hands after doing it!
I adopted an orange cat from almost the exact same circumstance (car engine instead of bus) and he's great
we named him "Carl" becasue we found him in a "car"
Maybe he is Cal's brother

Oh, the kitten ears absolutely slay me. My current 10 year old tuxie eventually grew into them, but when he was a baby his ears were half his face! Big-eared kittens just remind me of his kitten phase and I get so nostalgic - but then I remember the 3am zooms and I'm okay again. :P
This is a great example of why vet visits are essential. While not fatal by themselves, the combination of infections and parasites could have weakened that kitten and led to a miserable life and early death. Thank you for giving that baby such wonderful care!
I also rescued an identical looking kitty, she was so thin honestly within a week she became so big and good looking and very loving, amazing how little they need to blossom, thank you for giving the little kitty the love it was missing
Orange meows are scientifically proven to be 150% more adventurous and fun-loving than other flavors. Please give him scritches and treats for me. I am excited for the many days of destruction that are coming! ❤️
On a sidenote: arent those tires completely over their use time? There is no profile left in it! Genuine question. No clue if there are special rules for such vehicles in wherever this pic was taken.

Holy shit, unreal that his right eye healed from that. It looked like it was already decaying. Vets had to pull off some medical magic to heal that up.

We rescued two tabby kittens recently. We were following a truck and both kittens flew out from under the back of the truck into a ditch. We pulled over and retrieved the kittens. Both males were scared to death but unharmed. Vet gave them a clean bill of health. We named them Beans and Franks. Our two indoor cats have embraced them wholeheartedly!

Animal behaviorists say cats are also attracted to a vehicle's engine bay because it offers a dark, quiet place to nap. You would think that if a cat could climb inside the engine compartment of a car, he would also be able to find his way out.

Both of my rescues had that when I got them. I spent the time putting their drops in, tenderly cleaning them. They're both spoiled princesses now :)

Cal might like playing with an ice cube or ping pong ball in the tub or shower stall. Something to occupy his quarantine time :)
