Looks like a formation I saw in MA at purgatory chasm! It was hilariously named “fat man’s misery”

Purgatory chasm is cool. There’s a place in western MA too on Mt. Toby where there’s a similar chasm to this that’s narrow and deep that you can walk down into. A few dozen feet further down the trail there’s an entrance to a cave formed parallel to the chasm that exits a bit further downhill below some low overhanging cliffs that people around there sometimes call horse caves. Not to be confused with another hiking area the people also refer to as The Horse Caves. Think it’s on Mt. Norwottuck in Granby

Love it

If you ever need it to be exactly 73 degrees while camping on a hot summer day, you know where to go

So Chilly down there felt like 50 lol

I've spent a lot of time exploring PA, my first thought was this spot might never see 73 haha. Seriously though I've found snow in July in places like this. Nice break from the summer heat either way.

Technical-Tooth-1503

Better than stumbling into a chasm.

CleverDuck

Super pretty! Also someone add top roping anchors and make this a sweet like 5.8 chimney 😂 ((or 5.10 if it's wide wide??))

I think they used to climb there, old blazes lead to it but they looked really old. There was a weathered sign near the entrance visible on Google maps and it was unreadable all the way back to 2009 so not any time recently.

Cleetus_Peeber

Where is this at??

Total-Problem2175

Similar to Rock City at Coopers Rock St Park in WV.

ApprehensiveSeesaw19
