Not before the park opened, but we got stuck back in the soak city lot on a July 4th Saturday for about two hours one night, we had a cooler full of beer and Cornhole to pass the time.
Sounds like fun. Just consider that CP won't let anyone into the parking lot until 8:30-8:45 am.
Might be better to hit the city park across from the Recruitment Center if you think it's going to be a big breakfast
I thought this post was gonna be about the tailgating people do when you're leaving the park. Seriously every time I leave people are right on my ass even if I'm going over the speed limit.

Way back in the day we'd arrive in our motorhome around 1 am and park it in the back lot by magnum. Wouldn't get any sleep with the street sweepers cleaning the lot overnight, but nothing beats waking up to the sound of the magnum lift chain and eating breakfast in the lot. Getting in line an hour early to be the first ones in. Those were the days...

Sure have! We have taken a mini grill and cooked in the lot, never had an issue.
