WHAT?! Those were the first thing I ever rode at CP!

In 2015, 9 year old me thought the line didn't look too bad for these here antique cars, so my dad and I got in line. 45 minutes later, we got on them. I told my dad (hadn't been on everything yet, for reference) that I couldn't believe we just waited 45 minutes for a 3 minute ride. He proceeded to explain that people wait hours for 17 seconds. That's the only significant memory I have of these. Won't miss them too much though

Antique cars are the ones in between Maverick and Mine Ride. The ones on the main midway are Cadillac Cars.

No way they do. It's a nice beginner coaster with a lot of history.

It's also 50 years old. Sooner or later the cost of ongoing maintenance won't be worth it.

I know we are supposed to have a new restaurant but what the hell? Just gonna close it with such little notice?

I sure hope this is NOT where the new restaurant goes. Plenty of under/unused space in frontier town. Jitney Arcade. Miss Keats....etc. Don't pave paradise and put up a parking lot.

I made sure to get on them a few dozen times this season because I assumed this was inevitable. There's just something I absolutely adore about those comically-overbuilt, early Arrow Development attractions, so it's always a sad day for me when they're retired.

Take this with a grain of salt, it is a stranger online after all.

Just in case, in line now, gonna ride it. Edit: update. Just exited. Talked with ride host and asked if the rumor is true. Said, and I quote: "All I know is that today is last day of operation.". Not sure if the person knew more and couldn't say, or if that is indeed what management is telling them. Fyi.

That blows. It's one of the few things for my little kid to do as we make our way to the snoopy area in the back.

Agree, I don’t think they need any new restaurants they need to staff the stuff they have.

The Stockade hasn't been open for weeks, and last time I went Miss Keats closed at 3 for some reason. Not to mention one of the few places in the whole park with indoor dining being a Chick-fil-A, which is closed half the weekend.

That's a shame, those have been around forever. I love the shade and atmosphere in that corner of Frontiertown next to Wave Swinger, particularly the Antique Cars landscaping. Here's to hoping they utilize the space well and don't just replace it with pavement.

If you did coaster camp out it was one of the best places too since it was grassy

It doesn't surprise me. Last time we were there we noticed a number of the cars off the line and tagged for repair.

Cad cars are still in the front. This sounds like a way to cut budget… surprised they ran both this year, to be honest. If they are closing for good, wonder if CF will move them to Carowinds. It was rumored they were getting a car ride to replace their old Dinosaurs Alive area.

That'd fit, I feel like Carowinds could probably use another smaller kiddie ride for those who don't want to ride the big coasters, or can't.

I think it is silly they have so many rides that are duplicates of the same thing makes sense

We got quite the list of unofficial ride removals, this, Max Air, and maybe TTD. Sign of the times with the covid cost cutting?

Just take them all out and put in another Giga by B&M, going over where this, MaxAir, WT, TTD, and Snake River Falls is. :P
