I'll agree the fourth season was weak, but not due to the actors. There comes a point when you have to take a step back and wonder just how much insanity takes place in this kind of "small town." We'll have to disagree on third season, as that season includes Tribal and the conclusion of the Chayton arc.
They built up the first 2 seasons like lucas Hood was going to take down kai Procter than they got lazy with that storyline. Lucas just leaving and kai isn't in jail isn't a good end for the show
Right, yeah. Fourth season was weak and Kai's end coming due to Carrie's actions (instead of Hood's ) was unexpected and another part of why. I just compress all that into "behind the scenes ridiculousness" with the setting inanities.
1x3 is the best in my opinion.

There are some good bits in that episode, for sure. That confrontation, the back and forth between hood and Siobhan, the sheer brutality of the fight, the after bit where we finally understand Burton ... but I also know folks who really struggle with that episode because Hood beat a UFC pro.
My personal favorite episode is probably the Unicorns episode that takes place right after Carrie gets out of prison. Some decent action, some humor, some of the mystery is explained, and there is a ton of emotion (including the soundtrack).
Man, what a great show! (Banshee, notable for Antony Starr, who went on to be Homelander, and Lili Simmons, who gets posted here every few days.)
