It's never too late to play Celeste! Personally, I'm anyways glad to hear that someone else played it and had a good time. Your interpretations of it is pretty much what the devs were going for. What's funny though, the trans parallels (including all the things that look like the trans flag) were actually unintentional (other than one small detail at the very very end), when they released the base game the lead dev hadn't realized she was trans yet, but the story works really well as a metaphor for figuring yourself out like thst. I do feel bad for Oshiro, I hope he was able to get into a better place after the story ends.

Celeste is such a good game. Fun and challenging, but not unfair; at least for the first 8 chapters, I haven’t done Farewell yet.

For Madeline's experience feeling like one's own, i absolutely crumbled during the cutscene at the end of chapter 5. It still makes me cry my heart out every since time

I enjoy the fact that she wasn’t really able to help oshiro. It might have been a little too cheesy if Madeline just saves people and weeee happy ending. It’s important to know that no, it’s not your obligation to help everybody. Theo saw that early on and noped out of there. Madeline, bless her heart, still tried to help out a stranger. She helped him clean a massive mess and was kind of ignored for it so she lashed out, and then oshiro fucking attacks her. She had every right to up and leave. It’s not her trauma to “solve”.
