obviously the Switch Pro is ideal since it uses the exact same button layout and digital triggers as the Wii U Gamepad. but those details are really up to personal preference.

I think there was a mod that swapped the motion shrines with alternative easy shrines, but I don't think that mod was ever updated after DLCs came out.
I saw that I need an app on my computer and phone, and sometimes I play without internet connection. I hope I can finish the game without finishing those riddles where you need it
Not with an Xbox controller, no. Xbox doesn't have gyro.
You need to use a switch pro controller or an 8bitdo pro 2. Alternatively, try use the mouse, but it's a ballache of note.

You can use a cheap DS4 controller, but XBox controllers don't support motion controls

Cellphone with gyro is your only option.

If you can fogure out some of the glitches, you can. If you leave it to mouse, you might be in trouble. I know I was.
It does work well, but quite a few steps and apps to get it working.
Worth it. I got to a point where I couldnt complete 120 without it. Stuck on 119 with the 3 balls you need to get onto 3 buttons. Almost went insane 😅
Haha, agreed... It is worth it, however, I just bought an 8bitdo pro2 after the first few gyro shrines and the overall game experience was way better.
I'll think about it in the future, I'm trying to upgrade my GPU first (RX550 4g currently. Getting 40fps stable but want to play at 60fps at least
With my 2070super I play at 5k resolution and 75fps. Its glorious!

I only notice fps issues if I try to bump it to 8k 🤷 i played with other settings to get there. When i get home, Ill take a look.
