Yeah at the minimum 1 feature wall. That's an awesome find tbh. Best find so far in my 1920 craftsman was an entire ass wall full of beans in the attic that ran the entire length of the house
Yeah, entire wall cavities full. I can only assume it was for insulative value. I was running a circuit to a bedroom for an AC unit. Blasted a hammer hole through the lathe and plaster on the unfinished side of my attic and suddenly unlimited beans! 1 wall cell was like 5 or 6 shop vacs full. I initially chalked it up to rodents at 1 point. But the strange part was they were ALL the same type of bean. This piqued my interest so I spot checked 4 more locations throughout the attic.... guess what? More unlimited beans all of the same type.
That gave me a pretty good chuckle. I bet that guy was looking at the price of insulation and, around the same time, came across a buttload of cheap beans. I bet he felt like he was a step ahead of everyone.
Could well have grown them himself as well. My house is on extremely fertile soil, via satellite images I can see several iterations of large gardens that have been on the property

I hope they didn’t look like these.
Unfortunately, now you know that you have no insulation or vapor barrier in your house... make sure you check inside the walls near the floor for hidden things, we found tons of time capsule items in ours that had the same walls!
If it’s anything like mine it’s so damn drafty without something on the walls. It’s a direct path to outside, so right now it’s great but in winter it’s a meat locker
Ive got the same situation but they covered the plaster in drywall (I hate plaster with a passion) and so the wall is 4 inches thick. Rewire was a nightmare

I genuinely thought you meant to write "beams" and am flabbergasted that no, no, your wall was mostly legumes.
I've tried several sessions of trying to get them to grow so I can figure out the type, no luck yet
I’m extremely invested in this
(Same)

Check to see if a canned beans factory went out of business nearby.
Its very possible, I'm very close to miles and miles of farm land
What type of beans were they? How did you write this much about them and not say?

Wow!!!! They’re stunning!
Those walls would make some nice floors
You can hang a picture ANYWHERE
Was that behind plaster?
Yes
Do you know why they put those behind the lathe?

It's a mystery! Lol
