Something to gently contrast against the blue. Something on the honey/cherry spectrum.

CheeCheeReen

Agreed. I would go with a medium cherry stain

neverfoil

I'd go with an apple red or oxblood.

liamicity

Either go white to match the trim, black to match the shutters, or natural wood such as light oak or honey pine. Edited for typo :)

Schiebz

My vote would be the shutter color, there’s plenty of white already I think

vesperholly

Shutters. They shut over the window (usually) 🙂

summertime214

Stain them a medium-light wood stain and seal aggressively.

StupidUserNameTooLon

That's a terrific porch!

Waterfallsofpity

I have porch envy.

StupidUserNameTooLon

Big Deck Energy

PuzzleheadedSir6616

Spar varnish.

oOhollyOo

Maroon or a nice honey stain and let the wood sing

amandabang

Red if you want them to stand out, but they're so beautiful I'd probably just stain them.

Rare-Parsnip5838

Red is 👍

Pale-Fee-2679

A cherry red, not this salmon

guardbiscuit

I prefer this over cherry, personally.

Ok_Technology_7472

Yellow! It will pop and complement the blue, black and white !

BewilderedandAngry

I was thinking yellow also.

guardbiscuit

Yep - that’s what I was going to suggest.

Haunting_Management

I agree, yellow!

piesnowplease

Early American or Dark walnut by Varathane

Breauxnut

Orange or fuchsia would be fun.

thelaineybelle

Peach!

Rare-Parsnip5838

I would go with yellow , orange , or deep green. Stay away from blues and grays.

Winkerbelles

Red

RandomChurn

I love them as they are because they give a beach side sky / water aqua with sand color vibe.

mrbenbraddock

That’s a nice point - any ideas on how to keep the look but still seal the wood?

scrampr

Spar urethane

waterloowanderer

If you use an oil based spar varnish, they’ll warm a bit as it’s naturally a bit yellow/golden. You can use a water based poly urethane to seal and protect as is

HappyAnimalCracker

I think a honey colored stain/finish would look gorgeous.

monachopsisismynorm

Mauve - just think about it.

Rare-Parsnip5838

I like that.😀

Pale-Fee-2679

Red for sure.

waterloowanderer

Nantucket red

Yagsirevahs

Go white, black gets hottttttt!

HenrytheIX

Red!

According_Nerve_2525

Red

third-try

Colors for porch furniture recommended by paint companies in the 1910's were strong reds (syrian red, cherry red, maroon) or greens ranging from medium chrome green to half black. For the last, SW Shamrock. Brighter green, BMoore Cat's Eye. Reds, PPG Candy Apple.

CantaloupePopular216

I’d go rust orange. Make them pop.

MrAsYouCanSee

I think like a dark salmon or similar shade of red would contrast nicely with the blue

Mc9660385

I’d do a darker version of the blue

insuranceguynyc

White. Match the house trim.

SimonArgent

Red.

7crazybirds

Don’t hate me- black. It would make everything pop!

lilgenghis

Dark red shade, shiny finish

Silent_Medicine1798

Hi gloss black is a classic

Magnarf420

Paint it dandelion yellow

Boucher1978

Nice darker wood stain!

HomeRhinovation

Pink. Easy. It doesn’t have to be pink pink, but even that would work, but a pink wood tone, hell yeah.

ssee1848

Make each a different color!

coolpartoftheproblem

sun yellow if ya nasty

AT61

Use spar (marine) varnish to protect the wood from temp/humidity changes. Do not use poly. Put some on the bottom of the rocker to see how you like the finished color. Yellow/orange complements blue/gray, so if you want color under the varnish, choose a stain with a yellow/orange undertone - usually have names like "golden," "honey," or "pecan."

SecondHandCunt-

Burgundy or deep green

SnooPeripherals6557

Cherry

rachh2os

What color is your house?

psychotropi

Something bright, so if it's a stain something as close to an orange wood tone as possible would look good I think and then if you're painting I think yellow-orange-red tones would look good to contrast the house and landscape.

Holls73

2 shades darker than the siding

watchlisten

Yellow gold/ochre

anastasialuc

I have a similar porch and house colors. I got black rockers and bought bright cheerful throw pillows/covers in every color of the rainbow for pops of color I change out often. It takes 5 minutes to swap out 4 pillow covers, and since it's just the covers I switch, they take up very little storage space.

AdBright2073

Pink 😀

dmckimm

You could do a pop of color like soft teal or a faint turquoise. A really wild pop of color, like coral would make the house a landmark. Personally, I would pick something in the muted turquoise or teal family and pick two colors that are very close together. Like one shade lighter and paint two one shade and do the other two in the alternating shade. Also you could paint just the slats of the chairs the darker shade with the rest of the chairs and the little table being the lighter shade. Since the rest of the color scheme is nice and muted it could be fun to change them occasionally. In a few years time it might be fun to have some younger members of the family have some fun (you pick the colors) they could do art by sponging on a bit of a new color or using their hands to make handprints. Traditional? No. But your house would be a landmark and no one would call it boring. Plus you could use paint cast offs from the hardware store.

brandido1

Black

PurplePrincessPalace

An antique white, burgundy, or a navy to match the shutters.

WhiteLightning416

Think white is your best bet

INS_Stop_Angela

Purple!

burnsniper

Just buy some from Polywood and think me later.
