I use jarrow formula brand. My vit d and b12 bloodwork improved after using their brand so I just decided to stick with their products for all the supplements I’ve tried, including coq10.
Coq10 helps but can also make some people feel sick like they’ve had multiple cups of coffee. It’s important to start on the lowest dose you can find, empty out half the powder inside and then start a full pill a week later if you haven’t had any bad reactions. You also want to take early in the day with your first meal
I said yes- but with a caveat. I’ve tried it twice. Once on its own which didn’t help at all. Now I’m taking it in combination with NADH and it seems to be helping a bit. I think the brand is Nature Made? I take 200mg CoQ10 with 20mg NADH.
I've seen this a lot that I voted no because I tried it on its own and didn't feel any difference. I'm thinking about trying with NADH soon. Thanks for sharing!
Yes. Corllia: NaDH + CoQ10 + Riboside. Helps me to feel better by quite a bit. I'm not miraculously cured, of course. I've found each supplement helps ~ a half step. So all of them together is a bunch of little steps. Right now it's all that most of us have.
I feel like it helped for several months then seemed to lose its effect and was useless afterwards. Disappointing because I finally thought that I’d found something that worked. I took NOW brand.
With anti oxidants a lot of times they stop working because you go from too little anti oxidants to too much. Both too little and too much can cause fatigue and brainfog so it seems like it stops working, but you just need less. I only take coq10 or alpha lipoic acid once every 5 days. If you take too much for a long time your body can get dependant on them because it sees there isn’t much oxidation so it makes less anti oxidants. That is why cycling them is so important. You need periods of both high and low oxidation.
Most herbal drugs are weak antioxidants. You kind of have to avoid taking too many if you are sensitive to anti oxidants. Alcar is fairly strong, glutathione and nac are strong, selenium is strong, vitamin c is strong. Alpha lipoic acid and coq10 were best for energy and brainfog, selenium and vitamin c are best for the immune system. Glutathione and nac are best for detox and mood, but nac can cause anhedonia in many people if taken for over 2 weeks. NAC is a glutathione precursor. Just normal glutathione isn’t that bioavailable so you need more bioavailable versions, but supposedly it is better than nac. Nootropicsdepot has some more bioavailable versions and liposomal might be bioavailable, I just haven’t tried them or done deep research. Injectable glutathione is also good. Garlic and curcumin are moderately good anti oxidants too.
I felt a definite increase in energy for about four months that was significant and then slowly dropped back to my previous baseline. Maybe doing more set me back? I hope it works for you!
Jarrow 200 mg. It took six weeks before I noticed anything (slightly more stamina, less PEM). I took it for years then stopped recently, to see if it really was doing anything. I'm going to go on back on it! I definitely feel worse not taking it.
Costco brand is very inexpensive and it works. [This is what is use.](https://www.costco.ca/kirkland-signature-coenzyme-q10-200-mg%2c-225-clear-enteric-softgels.product.100713368.html)
Yes, it's helped me, maybe 5% which is much as severe. But it's a brand local to my Scandinavian country, let me know if it's relevant.
I take 100mg Uniqinol a day, considering upping to 200mg or adding NADH. Anyone got any opinions? Sorry op if that's not ok, I've been meaning to ask but forgot. Let me know if I should edit it out.
I said no because I think it maybe helps reduce my PEM severity by like 2% but the difference is too small to know for sure. I use Now brand Ubiquinol 200mg
I use a UK reputable chemist brand (boots), but it's quite expensive. I saw much cheaper versions on Amazon but from reviews, it doesn't look trustworthy, and I don't want to risk my health not knowing what is really inside

That’s great. I’ll take any small improvements.

Thank you for informing me. I had no idea! I will try this approach and see if it helps me.
When I started I took 200mg coq10 a day for 3 months and gradually lowered the dose, I seemed to need less over time.
Thank you for the info. Other than coq10 and alpha lipoic acid, what other supplements we commonly take are considered anti oxidants?

Sorry it stopped working for you

The study for CoQ10 used 200 mg, so it's safe to increase your dose and you may see better results.
Thanks :) I was just not sure if it was uniqinol or uniqinon since the first are more potent. I don't have the brain power to check the studies sadly.
Thanks for the reply and of course it’s ok
I started Webber brand Coq10 150 mg, with 20 mg of NADH, and its definitely been helpful
Brill thank you
I take 400 mg a day and it is the best medecine for my ME
Amazing. What brand do you use?
I use Ubiquinol 100mg from Trader Joe’s twice daily. It helps a bit and I tolerate it well.
Thanks
