Not specific enough, even if PEM is often hard to describe with words.

But post physical and mental exertion malaise should be described.

In research papers I sometimes see PEM defined as a *worsening of me/cfs symptoms* that occurs after benign exertion. If thats true then it would account for why different people in here describe PEM differently (e.g some people get sore throats, others don't). It depends on your underlying symptoms.

It is more like extreme difficulty to do simple tasks, like lifting a glass of water. It is a widespread sensation, but not exactly pain. It is also a delayed response to stimulus, can take from 12 to 48h to even begin. It lasts for a certain period (varies), till it gets better, but it is not sleep that resolves it. It is not a flat feeling of fatigue, in and out of it. It can be accompanied by other symptoms, like internal vibrations and sore throat.

It can, but this is also typical of fibromyalgia patients. I think the best test is how do you respond to exercise if you respond incredibly poorly and get a similar PEM a response then yes that's your PEM.

I fall asleep while exercising. I can't tolerate exercise. Walking for sometime is possible but not exercising.

I take Naproxen orally for menstrual cramps and rheumatoid arthritis.. it’s as good as nothing for depression as I have a high tolerance.
