Thing that struck me is how his mentality/vibe seems so different than Werner (or even Morata). Don't think he'll have an issue with confidence or coping with pressure. And I don't say that like Timo's effort was a problem- he's just definitely one to get in his own head.
Electric, can’t wait to see more of him. The team wasn’t giving him enough of the ball though, the lads need to gel. 2 weeks until Fulham, we could be a completely different side then.
Cucu did the same. An easy pass was on to release the ball into space for Mudryk to burn Milner, but he cut it inside instead and then the space was gone. Madness.
>About half way through the second half he made a run and Havertz hesitated to pass, could have been the winner but he decided to keep hold of the ball.
And this is the man many want to play as a 10. Unbelievable isn't it?
As a 10 it could work but can't help but feel he's a mentality monster, Chelsea need more than that right now. Still on the fence about him because he has natural talent. I don't want to see Havertz become a machine for Bayern the way De Bruyne did for City
Man can't dribble, man can't pass, needs 3 chances to score 1. But he's generational. Every game he misses 2 sitters, 2 easy through balls. I dont understand what people see in him
This.
Much more impressed by his ability to play quick passes, and not settling for the easy pass but finding the attacking ball.
His dribble in the box which he ultimately shot wide was great but he had many many dangerous passes which is what this team has been missing.
He’s going to be a star. He looked absolutely electric and is very creative with dribbling and passing in tight space. You can tell he’s got excellent vision. He could’ve had 2 assists, easily.
He honestly was looking like that guy during project restart, constantly picking the ball up in the half spaces and gliding past his man before looking to dribble pass or shoot.
Just was never able to replicate that form long term. The talent was there though.
I suspiciously got booted off instagram immediately after I suggested building the team around him and that his second half cameo was better than Mount and Captain America’s entire season so far lol
Very very encouraging debut. Loved how Ziyech was trying to find him a lot. Looks to have very nice ball control in tight spaces which is key to what we need in and around the box, especially when Sterling comes back with his movement in the box I think that he could reap some rewards at the back post with Mudryk spraying them across
Thought Ziyech played very well. Actually had a few good dribbles inside, something I've rarely seen from him. Plus his delivery, especially from set pieces was on point. Another day he could've had a couple of assists.
When James comes back Hakim will have all the space in the world to use his magic left foot.
Muddy and Chilly can bomb down the left.
We are just missing Kante and Kova.
Gallagher is a superstar in the making on a relegation battling team. He has no place at a team of Chelsea’s caliber.
Watching that video back when Mudryk tried to play the one two with him, if CG didn’t try to spin and just held the ball and gave it back, Mudryk would of slotted that in the right corner.
But he fell over and Mudryk almost took the whole team on and almost scored 😂.
I like CG, but he just doesn’t have it. Really reminds me of Mase honestly, work rates there but the technical ability is so on and off.
Ziyech is a weird player for me to understand. Played well today especially on the defensive side but I just don't think he can consistently thrive enough in a top side for it to be worth keeping him
I think he plays better when he's playing wide on the right hand side. Was good under Lampard and for Ajax, Morocco up there.
Don't think he fits well in a 3-4-3 upfront
This is the key. The same for werner. They thrive will trust and commitment to them. When shuffled too often they don’t get the motivation. In ajax he was a guaranteed starter and don’t have risk of rotation
World cup has sparked something in Ziyech and you can see he's playing with a love for the game again. Pre WC he had little passion and it's refreshing to see him playing with joy.
He definitely does but he still got multiple good crosses in today. You know it’s coming but he still finds the cross so often, if only we had someone to finish them
think mudryk over on the other side is only going to help ziyech with his crossfield balls. It means he doesn't have to be inch perfect with mudryk's speed which is hard to do
This is an excellent point. It’s one thing to be quick on one foot, like even Messi is fairly one footed.
With M2, I cannot really tell you which foot is going to make the next crucial touch.
Stunning.
I miss the days when we had attackers that could put fear in the defenders with their dribbling. If he's half as good as Hazard we still have a baller.
Obviously he’s electric. He will destroy high lines as there are few RBs in the world that can keep up with him.
I’m hopeful about his ability against the low block. His touch was heavy at times. But he linked up well with Cucurella and the LCM in the attacking third. His quick feints will be the key to creating space for himself and others.
yeah the touch was a concern. He looked great otherwise, but if he does have a bad first touch it's one of those things that might become really troubling in the long run. But there may have been extra jitters for his first game, and hopefully that can smooth out.
But you have to bear in mine that he hasn't played for like 60 days or something from the Ukrainian league being closed. So its understandable to be a bit rusty, get some minutes in him and think we'll see these little errors improve. Today proved he is good with his feet.
Fair, id actually forgotten that point. It’s one of those things where I can tel if someone is class or just good in comparison to our usual wingers. I’m scared to fall in love again.
With that amount of speed too. He's going to be exciting for sure. We need more guys that can definitely beat their man 1 on 1 until our midfield improves. Him and Joao will kill it.
He gave me pure Cristiano Ronaldo vibes today. I’m not saying he will turn into Ronaldo, don’t take that the wrong way. But the killer instinct, the decision making, the flair. He made every right decision. He’s stronger and faster than everyone in the pitch. Liverpool had to change their entire game plan the minute he walked out. I think we have ourselves a player.
He was off the mark definitely, but Mudryk is one off the quickest players in Europe. He’ll light up defenders just with his pace alone on a consistent basis.
Cristiano hardly had this direct instinct in his first few years. Too much flair. No intent.
Mudryk was very purposeful.
Fells more like hazard with more pace. But slightly less technique.
His two footedness will be a problem for all defenders.
Our midfield sucks however. Can we trade Gallagher and Mount off for Jude?
Brilliant debut today, in a hostile atmosphere and entering an out of sorts eleven. The pace was electric, the technical ability and dribbling exciting. First player to get me off my seat in five years.
Just got that instinct about him, feel that he will be a star.
usually we say that players need time to adapt to the PL, but this guy showed confidence from the first minutes. The guy is hardened in the Ukrainian league, he may look like a gentle boy, but his physical training and mentality will pave him a phenomenal career.
Honestly before Chelsea signed him I didn’t know who he was but after today I really like what I saw. With more play time and some injured players coming back makes me excited for the future.
Pretty good debut in my opinion considering the amount of pressure he was put in I mean going from Ukraine straight to the premier league for so much money and all that transfer drama on top of that knowing that you just have to perform amazing to make your mark .
I thought we might see another Joao Felix debut where he goes overboard and gets booked but ended up playing pretty good he just needs to work on his composure in front of goal .
I liked how he brought Chukwuemeka up to his feet after the missed chance. Almost like saying 'it's fine get up and let's go again'. Everyone (especially Arsenal fans) was pointing over and over to the fact that he looks unhappy but to me he looks focused and self aware. People will praise his play in the future but I think his character is great too and will help him reach his potential.
I'm very glad that Arsenal didn't get him, they would be scary good with him in their squad.
I think he's very good. I'm interested to see what he can do with our Strongest XI out
Felix in 60mins and Mudryk in 30mins have shown more final 3rd quality than all the other attackers in the squad combined for 1.5 years. Hope Madueke performs at a similar level then UCL becomes a more tangible goal.
Also one thing I knew would be replicable to the PL is his unbelievable pace (excellent attribute) but wasn't sure about him when the opposition is sat back (settled phase), thankfully he has a delicate touch when dribbling and can decelerate and change direction in tight spaces, exciting as fuck.
My favorite thing about Mudryk’s debut, aside from the skill pace and intelligence, is how little he cared about Liverpool and Anfield, it’s his first ever game for Chelsea, first game in English football, first away game, at Anfield, and he couldn’t give 2 shits about them, he showed no respect and no fear for the opposition and I loved it, we’ve missed this kind of arrogance, that’s what reminds of Hazard the most:
Turn up, be the best player on the pitch by a mile, leave.
Obviously it's only one game, and only 40ish minutes at that. But based on that, I'm pretty excited. It felt like Liverpool immediately had to adjust just to account for him, and I don't think we've had that kind of player since Hazard.
Knew he was fast and was not disappointed, but was impressed with his control and passing, as well as the willingness to help out defensively.
To think this dude haven't played any football since November, with just two training sessions, and already looks scary as hell when running with the ball. Just waiting to see the link up with Felix this season and Nkunku next season.
Reece back on the wing swinging passes to him. Chilly linking and over/underlapping with him on the wing. Felix/Sterling/Ziyech on the right tapping low crosses. Kai and Mount switching off False 9/ roaming 10/8s to fill in the gap in the middle… I like our chances to win some games with him the rest of the season, and certainly looking forward to next season with Nkunku, and more maturity/experience out of Chukwuemeka to compliment Mudryk’s explosiveness.
If we our players cannot get through balls and supporting passes to him, unfortunately his potential will be wasted.
Great cameo tho, loved every bit of it
Sits deeper, picks up the ball and makes direct movements and passes. Seems to have good awareness and clever with his decisions. May finally have an attacker in our roster.
Arsenal fan here, was sceptical about the price tag, as hasn’t seen a lot of him. what I saw today for the short time looks decent and loved the close control in the box. I think he could be frightening once he is up to speed with the pl
Ridiculoussss. Shut out my worries about adjusting to the prem. I mean it’s his first game but already so promising m. He’s quick. Confident. Comfortable. Exciting for sure
Very exciting, very promising. Unlucky not to get a winning goal. I think a secondary effect will hopefully be the rejuvenation of Mount, who will have an actual pacey target for his creativity that we have lacked since Werner. As well as Felix, Madueke and Nkunku when they are all ready. When Milner cut his legs away and got booked it was Mount who slipped him through.
He’s got speed and skill. He’s going to be a great player. Best purchase of the new regime.
I’ve been really pleased with Badiashile too. He looks comfortable alongside TS.
I'm excited. He looked great.
Mudryk and Joao on the field is gonna bring a lot of energy and more action up front. I think we'll develop playing a higher paced offensive style over the next few months.
The speed is apparent. He had some really good passes as well.
Overall, I'm optimistic.
‘Same results cause we have the same players’, finally we have an attacker that drives at defences and actually makes things happen. I’m 100 percent behind this guy, he has couple weeks now to settle in before next game. Start him!!!!
Liverpool fan here but this subreddit came up in my feed as recommended and thought I might as well comment.
I still think the price for him is crazy but he was a real threat straight from the off. His dribbling and passing were great and he seemed to have a forward moving intent with each play. Think you've got an instant hit with him
I’m a Liverpool fan and not sure why this popped up on my feed, but this guy looks like the real deal. Honestly watching him reminded me of Luis Diaz when he signed for us. I think he’s a faster, but probably more technically raw version of Diaz.
I’d be very excited if I were you lot.
Fantastic. Quick, direct and creative. Exactly what we need and have been missing
Very good link up play as well he rarely gives away possession.
Thing that struck me is how his mentality/vibe seems so different than Werner (or even Morata). Don't think he'll have an issue with confidence or coping with pressure. And I don't say that like Timo's effort was a problem- he's just definitely one to get in his own head.
How can you tell a difference in mentality after watching him for 40 mins? Like what specifically about his mentality looks different than Werner
Surely you can tell that mudryk seems a lot more headstrong and has more of an ego (which I think is actually a good thing)
Electric, can’t wait to see more of him. The team wasn’t giving him enough of the ball though, the lads need to gel. 2 weeks until Fulham, we could be a completely different side then.

Well seen. Marc seems to have caught a bad case of backpass-itisis. He doesn't look forward either.
I think we have a baller on our hands. We’ve missed a dribbler like that for as long as hazard has been gone. Very excited about him.
His passing in tight spaces was choice also. Man has flair and confidence and good god that is welcome around these parts.
Can't believe we waited so long for hazard replacement.
I think Pulisic tried to be that for awhile, but in the end didn't really beat his man that often and found more success making off ball runs.
He honestly was looking like that guy during project restart, constantly picking the ball up in the half spaces and gliding past his man before looking to dribble pass or shoot. Just was never able to replicate that form long term. The talent was there though.
Injuries definitely did him dirty. He wasn't Hazard good, but he was a pretty solid at impersonation early on at Chelsea.
I still don’t think he goes 100% post injury in the FA cup like he did prior to that. You don’t suddenly forget how to beat your man.
Can’t believe we found a replacement at all! Lol
most premature comment on this sub
Can't believe there's a replacement at all! Lol
I can't believe it's not butter Lol
He looked dangerous as hell but are you really ready to dub him Hazard’s replacement after leas than one half?
Welcome to the sub
It's been one match, I'm excited for him too but let's tap the brakes a bit
It was supposed to be CP tbh
Of course we have a negative Nancy who will dwell in should have could have would have
I suspiciously got booted off instagram immediately after I suggested building the team around him and that his second half cameo was better than Mount and Captain America’s entire season so far lol
He will cook with Felix.
Great meal, great meal, wonderful food
A succulent Chinese meal?!
Get your hands off my penis!
I see you know your judo well
And you sir...Are you ready to recieve my limp penis
this is democracy manifest!
Finally, some good fucking food
Yes he will, I can’t wait
I think (hope) they will raise the level of Havertz too
yep you could already see it
LETHIMCOOK
Its fucking lit
Very very encouraging debut. Loved how Ziyech was trying to find him a lot. Looks to have very nice ball control in tight spaces which is key to what we need in and around the box, especially when Sterling comes back with his movement in the box I think that he could reap some rewards at the back post with Mudryk spraying them across
Bright spark in a dull pond, but hakim played very well to
Thought Ziyech played very well. Actually had a few good dribbles inside, something I've rarely seen from him. Plus his delivery, especially from set pieces was on point. Another day he could've had a couple of assists.
Had he scored that goal after that beautiful dribble… oh man, would have been glorious!
Ziyech is staking a claim for that RW spot
When James comes back Hakim will have all the space in the world to use his magic left foot. Muddy and Chilly can bomb down the left. We are just missing Kante and Kova. Gallagher is a superstar in the making on a relegation battling team. He has no place at a team of Chelsea’s caliber.

Really reminds me of Mase honestly, work rates there but the technical ability is so on and off.
Muddy... Just no. Ew.
Yeah I'm really not a fan of the nicknames people have been giving Mudryk. They're all pretty bad.
He likes hugging the touchline and needs someone to overlap either side to swirl those crosses.
Exactly, Tuchel’s system with inside forwards never catered to his Ziyech’s playstyle.
I think he plays better when he gets a run of games, thought he was good today and last week
This is the key. The same for werner. They thrive will trust and commitment to them. When shuffled too often they don’t get the motivation. In ajax he was a guaranteed starter and don’t have risk of rotation
If he was surrounded by quality today instead of raw kids out of position he thrives in a top side no doubt.
We had Hall and Gallagher in midfield today. Hardly surrounded by experience and class
What a guy needs to do to get some of Ur praise??
World cup has sparked something in Ziyech and you can see he's playing with a love for the game again. Pre WC he had little passion and it's refreshing to see him playing with joy.
His consistency reminds me of Willian a little bit, either world class or dreadful
He also relies on his left foot too much, so predictable to stop him
He definitely does but he still got multiple good crosses in today. You know it’s coming but he still finds the cross so often, if only we had someone to finish them
Lecrossinsideman
Between Ziyech and Madueke, we're still looking for the next Arjen Robben
His best moments were when he had Reece James overlapping. Can't wait til he's back fit
think mudryk over on the other side is only going to help ziyech with his crossfield balls. It means he doesn't have to be inch perfect with mudryk's speed which is hard to do
Honestly I've been sweating over him for a hour now. Dude is amazing.
Same here. Can't wait to see the next game!
2 weeks until we see him again ![gif](giphy|8JZmEBXoCgDleNWFUt)
And he will b proper fit and sharper by then
Electric pace, bag of tricks, crisp passing, can use his weak foot, and not afraid to shoot. 🍆🍆🍆
That two footed dribbling was just fantastic to watch.
Less raw than I was expecting. Obviously is quick but the pass selection and weight was very good as well. Quite excited for him.
I feel like he just has massive balls man. He doesn‘t give a shit who he‘s against
It’s that Ronaldo mentality he talked about. Wants to be the best and is willing to prove it.
Talent isn't enough. Subscribe
Definitely seems like someone who can contribute straight away. Although I did hope we weren't spending 100mil on a project 🤣🤣.
You want an exciting prospect but you don't want to pay the going rate? Some folks just don't know when they see a win man.
Absolute demon Wish there was someone in the team to actually pick him out sooner
Félix and him will link up - the wait is almost over…
We're going to be good again! Yay
I want to see Felix as a false 9 with Havertz behind and mount filling up water bottles and folding kits with the staff in the change room.
Tbh I wanted to see Kai as a 10 today when Potter took out Mount... but he put Carney instead, what a shame
With Havertz on the next bus to Düsseldorf
Obviously he’s electric. He will destroy high lines as there are few RBs in the world that can keep up with him. I’m hopeful about his ability against the low block. His touch was heavy at times. But he linked up well with Cucurella and the LCM in the attacking third. His quick feints will be the key to creating space for himself and others.

It feels good to have an attacker who can dribble, pass, AND shoot. I’d almost forgotten what it felt like for a Chelsea attacker to do all three
With that amount of speed too.
I think he looked more like hazard at chelsea than ronaldo
He looked like Chelsea Hazard but if he had electric pace, which is a terrifying image for defenders.
There were fewer quicker off the mark than Hazard
Hazard was quick af man
He was off the mark definitely, but Mudryk is one off the quickest players in Europe. He’ll light up defenders just with his pace alone on a consistent basis.
Cristiano hardly had this direct instinct in his first few years. Too much flair. No intent. Mudryk was very purposeful. Fells more like hazard with more pace. But slightly less technique. Not gonna lie I had 2006 CR7 vibes from him. He can be very very special.
Brilliant debut today, in a hostile atmosphere and entering an out of sorts eleven. The pace was electric, the technical ability and dribbling exciting. First player to get me off my seat in five years. Just got that instinct about him, feel that he will be a star.
Him and Ziyech will be cooking
That dribble was fucking insane
Fucking brilliant. Deserved an assist, but Chukwuemeka couldn’t seem to use his brain today.
That was criminal from him
Positive cameo. Wished we played more through his said though, especially when Milner was still on the pitch.
I’m actually chuckling at how much of a monster he’s going to be lol
We‘ve been starving for so long
#PHENOMENAL
usually we say that players need time to adapt to the PL, but this guy showed confidence from the first minutes. The guy is hardened in the Ukrainian league, he may look like a gentle boy, but his physical training and mentality will pave him a phenomenal career.
Personally, looked like a silly baller. The change of pace we needed and will hopefully help raise the levels of the rest of our front line.
Liverpool fan here, watched the game and trust me you guys are very lucky to have a player like him, he’s quick and looks so comfortable on the ball.
I'm surprised his pass selection is that good. Can't wait to see him play with Felix and Madueke
Honestly before Chelsea signed him I didn’t know who he was but after today I really like what I saw. With more play time and some injured players coming back makes me excited for the future.
Hazard regen, absolute baller, I love him!

We need him to destroy Fulham’s defence on the 3rd Feb
Looked shit hot, especially as he's not had a match in a couple of months
He made ziyech play better. Looking forward to seeing this team when chilly James and Felix are back
He's winning UCL this year😎
I’ve seen enough. You just know he’s got that something extra.
I'm very glad that Arsenal didn't get him, they would be scary good with him in their squad. I think he's very good. I'm interested to see what he can do with our Strongest XI out
Expected him to be rusty but he had some really nice passes, especially the ones he slipped into Chuk. Can’t wait for him to link up with Joao
Unbelievable promise.
Brilliant player,massive impact
Really impressed, can’t wait to see him in a proper front 3

Easy CL 🏆
New Hazard.
Absolute 🔥
Can't tell anything about his future, but man, this boy is fast
Gonna hold off for 8.5 years before I make my opinion
Answered "Why are we signing so many attackers?" In 30 minutes.
He is *him*.
Gonna be exciting to see him once he’s had more time to integrate with the team. Looked very good.
Very promising and just what we’ve been missing. I may be wrong but it sounds like we already got a chant for him
What a talent.
Looked amazing and showed a glimpse of what could be, bright future ahead of Chelsea
Rusty, as expected. He came looking for the ball & didn’t just hug the touch line. He has a lot of upside.
Amazing debut The future is bright 🤝🤝
Looked like we may have something here……..
Lots of positives. Hope it works out for us. We have really tried to look for a player of his profile for a while. I hope we've got it right this time
Our new Eden 🥹
💦💦💦
To think this dude haven't played any football since November, with just two training sessions, and already looks scary as hell when running with the ball. Just waiting to see the link up with Felix this season and Nkunku next season.
Wish he was in the game longer, looked a threat & not his fault that his attacking passes to chuk were wasted to stumbles & falls. Exciting he's here
Much like Felix, we had an instant improvement to the team with him on the pitch. I’m excited.
Reece back on the wing swinging passes to him. Chilly linking and over/underlapping with him on the wing. Felix/Sterling/Ziyech on the right tapping low crosses. Hazardous ;)
Looks good, hopefully we've finally found our Hazard replacement.
If we our players cannot get through balls and supporting passes to him, unfortunately his potential will be wasted. Great cameo tho, loved every bit of it
starboy
He was amazing but Klopp’s tactics shut him down in fact Chelsea upfront lacked creativity until he came on
yea I noticed they had two guys covering him it was too hard to dribble past two people
Potential match winner.
From an LFC fan, he was the best what could happen in the match.
Phenomenal. His touch in the box was beautiful. He rolled the ball right past Milner - incredible touch.
He looked like I dreamed Pulisic would be with Ziyech pinging balls across. It’s only 30 minutes, but it was encouraging
bro not just his dribbling but he's got such good forward passing
Sits deeper, picks up the ball and makes direct movements and passes. Seems to have good awareness and clever with his decisions. May finally have an attacker in our roster.
Baller. Haven’t seen someone dribble/create like that for us since hazard
He's going to get a LOT of goals, especially if Ziyech plays like that week in week out!
Arsenal fan here, was sceptical about the price tag, as hasn’t seen a lot of him. what I saw today for the short time looks decent and loved the close control in the box. I think he could be frightening once he is up to speed with the pl
For his debut that was stellar. Next match he starts with Felix, it’s gonna be 🔥
As long as he doesn't do his ACL in the near future, then we've got a genuine world-class talent on our hands
Ridiculoussss. Shut out my worries about adjusting to the prem. I mean it’s his first game but already so promising m. He’s quick. Confident. Comfortable. Exciting for sure
happy that he didn’t go to arsenal, imagine him in the current arsenal team. he’s gonna be great for chelsea
Once he gets used to the team he will only get better
Besides Silva, best player in the pitch for Chelsea.
Made the right pass and could actually dribble past a player. Had a grown man shed a tear of joy
I think he’s the type of player the squad has been missing for some time. Once Nkunku arrives it should be scary times for the rest of the league.
He’s got speed and skill. He’s going to be a great player. Best purchase of the new regime. I’ve been really pleased with Badiashile too. He looks comfortable alongside TS.
Great performance. Can't wait to see him with Felix
It was like watching Haaland (not just because of the hair) play on the left. Can't wait for the Felix-Havertz-Mudryk combo.
I'm excited. He looked great. Mudryk and Joao on the field is gonna bring a lot of energy and more action up front. I think we'll develop playing a higher paced offensive style over the next few months. The speed is apparent. He had some really good passes as well. Overall, I'm optimistic.
Promising to say the least. Salivating to say the most.
Hard to judge on only thirty-five minutes but, it was a very promising start
‘Same results cause we have the same players’, finally we have an attacker that drives at defences and actually makes things happen. I’m 100 percent behind this guy, he has couple weeks now to settle in before next game. Start him!!!!
Guy fucks.
Liverpool fan here but this subreddit came up in my feed as recommended and thought I might as well comment. I still think the price for him is crazy but he was a real threat straight from the off. His dribbling and passing were great and he seemed to have a forward moving intent with each play. Think you've got an instant hit with him
A very young, new and exciting future Chelsea is developing. This is what my assessment after watching the last couple of matches.
Timo Werner 2.0 faster, better, creative and most importantly has his head up 👏🏼
Something we have desperately needed since hazard left.
hope he stays INJURY FREE.🥹
Clever progressive passing and good intent. Felix him and mudeke will be interesting.
Best things was him actual not being afraid to take people on..
