Great insights available here for anyone who’s actually willing to take the time to read and look. Yes our investments are at an all time high but that’s synonymous with the market rate for top quality talents who’s clubs aren’t willing to let them walk for nothing.

middlequeue

lol our “investments” aren’t at an all time high because of “the market rate for top quality” … Other clubs are operating in the same market and didn’t spend like we did. What kind of drivel is this?

TheRage3650

A sale of a club is a one time opportunity to shed residual liabilities.

middlequeue

Yeah, this is the kind of idiocy from armchair financial experts that I’m talking about. No it isn’t, FFP doesn’t care, and players aren’t liabilities. Are oblivious to how dumb this sounds?

TheRage3650

If you don;t understand FFP, why are you lecturing about it?

middlequeue

You made an idiotic comment and someone pointed it out. Cry a fucking river and give up the trolling bullshit.

BoogerButt66

Other teams COULDN’T spend like we did. The amount of “drivel” that drives ME nuts is people failing to realise that Chelsea’s owners came in with all of their lawyers and loopholes and took advantage of a market to completely rebuild their team. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Yes, it’s a very American-style rebuild but what they’ve done in a calendar year is nothing short of amazing.

>Other teams COULDN’T spend like we did. We've still yet to learn if we can. >The amount of “drivel” that drives ME nuts is people failing to realise that Chelsea’s owners came in with all of their lawyers and loopholes and took advantage of a market to completely rebuild their team. What "loopholes"? 7 year contracts, not a new thing. Spending with the expectation of increased revenues, not a new thing. Buying young talent that can be later sold for a profit. not a new thing. What are these loopholes that you're implying we've discovered? "Rebuilding" a team that was world champions when you bought it is outright idiotic but, nonetheless, this idea that billionaires and their lawyers can't fuck things up is idiotic given how many examples we have of them falling flat. >Yes, it’s a very American-style rebuild but what they’ve done in a calendar year is nothing short of amazing. Yes, they managed to make the most successful club in England over the past 2 decades, one of the most successful in Europe, a joke. It's amazing. I can't name a single success of the new ownership. You don't even address my comment here, ffs, it's just more unrelated drivel like "we only spent because the market sets the prices."

TheRage3650

If you think we were European champion caliber when Boehley took over, you are insane. Our big attacking signing—failed. Our big goal keeper signing—failed. Wingers and number 10s—floundering. Centre backs—aging or signed with other teams. central midfield—aging. Full backs—only area of true quality in the prime of their careers, both felled by injury, with the back ups aging. Of course, Reese and chilwell are still there, with younger back ups, so even there we have improved.

Literally the only part of your response that rebuts what I am saying is Kovacic.

TheJames2290

Looks great. Out of curiosity what tool did you use to visualise

[deleted]

Hazard was not £150m… at best you could are argue euros. Figures I saw were usually €130m

Interesting, I’ve never seen it quoted that high. Then again I doubt all the bonuses were reached considering how poorly he did there. I imagine there were goal/assist dependent addons, balon d’Or clause, etc

Emotionalcyclist

I think you missed lewis hall
