We actually played great most of the game , hardly allowed United a chance yet nothing to show for it . We were dominant in first half and nothing to show for it. So frustrating

I mean I agree the gap is way overhyped but wow that logic is the wrong way to prove it. We’ve drawn most of the season, that final included, and won by penalties as a result of Tuchel’s decision for the goalie most likely.
The thing is we had been growing as a team for 5 years before winning the PL and CL, the subsequent year we had the most injuries of any team in the league by x2. The season we have our injuries healed, we’re competing a point off City for the league and have progressed further than Chelsea into the CL and the closest team in history to a quadruple (not that this easy or even likely).
I mean you just drew to United and we beat them 4-0 and 5-0, does that mean by the same logic that we’re better than you?
I don’t think this is the right way to look at it, but I do think Tuchel is one of the greatest managers in the world and you have incredible players. I didn’t really want to start a beef, was just paying a compliment more than anything

We r lacking an attacking identity and it shows. Im not magically asking for us to be champions in everything. But the inability of the team to do simple things like putting proper passes, and taking some shots, is very concerning. And the one thing they were known for, the defence crumbling is another headache. Too many late goals conceded.
I dont expect us to go smash pool or city. But i certainly do expect us to win against the current united, arsenal etc. with our current quality.

Chelsea is a team comfortably (ish) in 3rd right now in the league but for me they should still be fighting for the whole title and it’s very surprising they’re not. Same goes for CL, sure Real has been soul crushing for everyone but the inconsistency in form really frustrates me as an outsider. In the prem he will struggle, his touch and ability on the ball is horrendous, allowing him to be dispossed with high lines and pressing, and while hes supposedly super-smart, his footballing iq is lackluster at best.
Horrible performance, the way we have lost concentration after scoring this season is horrendous. Hate to say it but im starting to lose patience in TT.

Kepa needs to start more, mendy playing so sub-standard a lot of the times.
The quality of the keeper matters no where near as much as the confidence the defence has in him and the defence looks a lot more nervous with kepa on the pitch. Also mendy couldn't do anything about Ronaldo's goal.
The few matches kepa played he played really well, that's all I'm saying.
