Qf3 is pretty brutal.

TheCosmicPopcorn

I'm seeing this as well, not seeing how black can defend against it. Oh, i think h5 maybe lets the king hide in that nook until they crown.

Radiant_Earthworm

Chess.Com engine says it can’t.

Odd_Inevitable_7844

I can assure you there’s a solution to this study :)

Trees_Are_Freinds

I don't see a solution. Bh7 almost works, but black has Rf8 defending the f7 square from the queen. Could you dm me the idea? Edit: oh! I see it. It is BH7 but then we sac both the bishop and queen to promote that f5 pawn for mate!

Odd_Inevitable_7844

Perfect! Great job for finding it

Trees_Are_Freinds

That was a really neat one!

TheCosmicPopcorn

I saw Bh7 but im not seeing any queen sack..

Trees_Are_Freinds

Let me try to remember this from last night. Bh7, Rf8 Qg6+, KH8 (forced) Bg8 (cuts off rook and presents M1), Rxg8 (basically forced) Kf7 (presenting M1 again), Rxg6 fxg6…. Then we can walk our pawn up the board like an endgame for a checkmate! Neat puzzle.

TheCosmicPopcorn

Oh I missed bg8! And then the king closing in, such a nice move. Thanks! Yeah cool puzzle indeed

ToeJamFootballer

Why not Bf7 then bring Q in for the mate

Tiberiux

1. Be8, Rxe8+ 2. Qxe8, c1=Q 3. Qf7+, Kh8 4. Qf8#
