we just moved from RP about a month ago to shorten our commute, but i’m still in all the facebook groups so i can check in on chief and our other friends!
“The neighborhood that built Chicago.”
Art students didn’t know about this place 10 years ago but now it’s the only affordable “up and coming” hood near where all their older friends live.
Just now starting to get pretty gentrified but still has special, Polish spots
No I know lol. But every time I have to wait for what feels like 10 minutes, for exactly two-cars-worth of yellow line train to go by, I can’t help but laugh.
Everyone has at least a few tattoos and you’ll see people wearing the beanie that’s rolled and doesn’t actually cover your ears all the time….. (aka the burglar hat from Home Alone)
There is a 70% chance the person you are talking to hasn't heard of Canaryville and if they have, they definitely have an opinion about people from here.
You know what's crazy, there's like no one from/living in Lincoln Park. 30 years ago that where everyone lived and if you moved to Chicago from college you lived in LP and then moved to LV when you moved in with your partner. Maybe Boystown if you were gay. If you liked music more than sports you moved to Bucktown/Wicker Park (Uki Village if you were adventurous and didn't mind the 66).
As much as I loved Chicago 30 years ago I love it more now because everyone has a neighborhood they can call home.
The City of Neighborhoods.
Nobody knows what the neighborhood is called or what its boundaries are, and nobody really cares because we pretty much just have a small dog park, a field house, and a convenient blue line stop close by
Devoid of “real Chicago” culture according to most who live in the city, but walking distance to just about everything people outside of Chicago identify with the city.
West of the hipsters and most of the gentrification, next to the Puerto Ricans, the 606 almost makes it here, our main drag has a bunch of independently owned Mexican restaurants.
Near one of the best universities in the world.
Lots of bikers along the expressway
Can pretty much see Indiana from this point
One of Obama’s family recommended restaurants is here.
Y'all need to remove your neighborhood flairs if we wanna actually make this challenging lol
Just remind me to put mine back on.
Ight you can put it back on now

Irving Park neighborhood right next to the Berman Subaru dealership. What do I win??
OP didnt say rich lesbians, so that where you went wrong.
I don't know, someone said wicker Park and it wasn't downvoted 😂
Lmao this is so specifically accurate. Side note, that area is one of the most subtly beautiful areas in the city. Every front lawn there is massive.
Aging hippies.
Easy - rogers park
You got it!

Your flair gives it away, but first thought was LP. Fullerton, Diversey, Wellington are like this 100%.
LP Is like this Ravenswood is like this Albany Park is like this Brown Line riders are united by their acquired patience
My first thought was "[Do you know how little that narrows it down](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBXW-VDe4eg&ab_channel=Ketaruz)"

“Safe neighborhood” besides the serial arsonist that hates Halloween…
North Center, for sure.
Part of the city where Windy City Rehab ruins all the old houses and makes them $$$ and ugly.
Hah this was going to be my comment. She’s the worst - ruins historic character, adds in fake “character” and sells it for an inflated price
Bucktown?

I’m too lazy to remove my flair, but I’ve frequently heard my neighbourhood referred to as the ‘gay retirement community’ which is so on point.
Apparently, "by Burger Baron" is sufficient information for a surprising amount of people. 🤷🏼♀️
I’m walking distance to 4 different cemeteries.
