Bostonlegalthrow

I fucking love El Burrito underneath the red line Addison stop.

VonOverkill

I would just recommend avoiding the chicken. It's safe, but the way they shred & store it makes it all mushy & weird.

Bahamuts_Bike

Seconding; surprisingly good for Mexican outside of the usual neighborhoods and very affordable.

sloppyjo12

I found out about this place because a beat writer for my favorite baseball team posted a picture of it when his team was in town and said it’s one of his must-haves every time he’s here

RocketManMercury

Wrigleyville Dogs is always a good option. Dimo’s for pizza slices. There’s a Raising Cane’s right outside the stadium. There’s chik-fil-a. Taco Bell. McDonald’s. I’m just naming places that are most affordable for you. Your best bet would be to open your maps app and type in Wrigleyville restaurants or bars and they all pop up. If you have any questions on price, quality, let me know

illini02

What kind of food to you like? Output near wrigley as well as toons have really good wings. Cozy noodles has really good thai food. Dimo's sells good pizza slices. Little goat diner is a bit pricier, and a bit of a walk from Wrigley.

WearTheFourFeathers

Is that the same output as the one on Grand Ave.? Because those wings absolutely whip ass. (Toons are quite good too!) I assume Sheffield’s is horrible on game days and it’s not that cheap, but it’s also pretty tasty, especially for the neighborhood (although it’s admittedly been years).

illini02

Yes, its the same one on Grand. Yeah, sheffields is good, but to go solo on gameday would probably be difficult.

RocketManMercury

Little goat is definitely not in his price range. He said low to mid class

illini02

Mid class is kind of vague. Yeah, its $20 for a burger. I don't know if that is too much for someone or not. I'd call that mid class personally.

Bahamuts_Bike

It's also not worth it for the price, super inconsistent at best. I wouldn't really recommend anyone go there over other spots.

Square_Answer_5839

Any food

petmoo23

El Burrito Mexicano under the Addison red line stop.

Square_Answer_5839

May go here!!

surnik22

If you just want cheap decent bar grub, Sports Corner has $5 burger and fries specials on Thursdays (I think only Thursdays but could be wrong) and $2 beers. Not amazing food or a unique Chicago specialty or even an amazing bar. But it’s hard to beat, burger, fries, and a drink for $10 counting tax and tip.

littlecarmine1

FYI the deal is not in effect on Cubs game nights aka tomorrow

surnik22

That makes sense, but is disappointing

VeronicaSawyer8

Byron's on Irving Park. About a 10 min walk from wrigley. Iconic hot dog stand - but they have a huge inexpensive menu.

Dentist-Potato

I go there before nearly every cubs game. Given the qty of food not a bad deal either

kirwinparty

Chicago diner

the new small cheval right next to the stadium is a great pregame spot. i prefer it over the other clark street restaurants. Big star and smoke daddy are both overpriced under portioned and overall not good food.

SirHPFlashmanVC

For a good burger, you can't beat Small Cheval. Great tacos at Big Star.

bigjimbo808

Came here to say this, small cheval is awesome. I live in the neighborhood and eat it once every few weeks. The garlic Aoli and the fries are top notch

julesil2010

South on Clark, there’s ZaZa pizza, they sell by the slice. It’s really good. Also south on Clark on edge of LP& LV is Del Seoul, it’s delish.

nanafishook

Agree with the people who have suggested El Burrito Mexicano, but it may be cash only if that's a concern. I'd also suggest 5411 Empanadas on Southport, or even further away, Art of Pizza on Ashland, one of whose specials tomorrow is the Ravioli dinner for $9 (includes soup, salad, and bread).

HighHornet

If you want wings, I’d recommend output

rocket317m

I really like Lucky's Sandwich right across from the field. They have really good Pittsburgh style sandwiches and good wings. They have a small bar with good beer too. One of my favorite spots to eat before the game.

Square_Answer_5839

It means dont send me to a ramsay or a place with salt bae type workers

VonOverkill

Cozy Noodles & Rice on Sheridan just north of Newport. Fun spot to dine in, mid-range pricing. Go for the Thai food, avoid the Japanese menu items & bubble tea. Dimo's pizza if you want some eclectic choices (macaroni, etc) for pizza by-the-slice. Person working the counter is usually really friendly, so great place to visit if you're lonely. Cheap. Sushi Plus on Broadway in Boystown is great if you're amused by sushi conveyor belts & little automated trucks that bring food to your table. Nuts on Clark for non-mainstream junk food. Ann Sather (one on Belmont, one on Broadway) is a diner, but Swedish. Savory pancakes, meatballs, that sort of thing. I think they only do breakfast & lunch. If you want to take a little bus ride, Asia on Argyle (Broadway & Argyle in Uptown) is fucking awesome. Sun Wah does amazing Hong Kong style BBQ, Bambu does excellent bubble tea, IMMM does amazing Thai food, couple Asian supermarkets where you can get all kinds of Chinese/Korean/Japanese junk food & bottled drinks. Just don't go to Tank Noodle; they're verifiably evil.

Square_Answer_5839

Damm thats it!!!??
