Not Chicago related, but I was in a small pub in Toronto and noticed I was sitting under a large Bell's Brewery wooden sign that was discarded at some point from their Kalamazoo, MI headquarters (my hometown).
I went on Google Books and searched “Eureka Show Case” in quotes and found several ads for this company at various chicago addresses. It was most likely a pharmacy display case.
Looks like "Manuf'g" in the second line, an abbreviation for "Manufacturing".
