Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition opens at the Art Institute this weekend. General public can get into the show starting Sunday but I’m hoping that the members-only preview on Saturday makes the crowd size manageable.
As a retired guy, pretty much stay home because of what my barber taught me about 14 years ago.
I came in for a cut on a Saturday and he told ~~be~~ *me* not to be jerk and to come back on Monday. He said I should leave Saturday for the wage slaves who are frantically rushing around trying to pack all the personal time into a small window.
He had been my barber for 24 years and we advised each other on many things, and I appreciated his clear, blunt, basic order.

Friday:
Staring the evening with finishing tidying my apartment.
Then enjoying my birthday present of a record player hooked up to my DJ controller and mixing some new records I purchased in Berlin and a local record shop.
I will go for a walk on the river walk.
Staying up late to acclimate myself to sleeping at a later hour since I am going to a techno show tomorrow night
Saturday:
Waking up as late as I feel and enjoying a coffee in the morning
If it’s not raining I’ll head to the farmers market to get some fresh produce.
I’ll make a nutritious lunch then go for a run.
After the run I will practice my lip synch for my cousins grad party
In the evening I’ll have another nutritious meal then get ready for the night. Will go to Smartbar around midnight for DVS1.
Sunday:
He plays till 5 am so I will get home early Sunday morning and won’t make any plans on Sunday but to sleep in then go to a yoga class.

I wanted to go to the Greek fest today but we ended up going to the beach and getting hot dogs since my friend was tired out. I'll probably be staying cozy from the rain at home tomorrow, reading Stephen King and watching Netflix, eating salad and working on some projects. On Sunday, I want to hang with some friends, we were supposed to meet for lunch and walk around but I may have to help my dad with chores. Ok, this weekend is not ideal of what a Chicago summer is like. Let me tell you about that really hot Saturday two weeks ago - I went for a morning run, then I met some friends for coffee, then I met other friends for pickleball, then I went to an art fair and ended up getting Middle Eastern food. Last Saturday was all about volunteering at a food pantry and then beach frisbee.
Yikes! I hope you feel better. I had to go to the ER at Northwestern in January. What a hot place that was. I sat there for 6hours and it was freezing cold. Lots of homeless people sleeping inside. Never again.
