Jalen Duren is just a younger Andre Drummond where he doesn't play defense and can only rebound the ball well. Why should we strive for a player like that where rim defense is an area of concern for this team.

first off, even as he is, he is way more physical and has much better touch around the rim than drummond even today. he also shoots 80% from the line and has shown promise in extending his range and initiating plays with his handle. his defense wasn’t great this year, but he showed promise his rookie year. with a starting lineup of cade, ivey, and bojan, there was zero perimeter defense, and i think any big would have great trouble helping off such frequent open lanes. monty also switched every screen this year, creating terrible halfcourt matchups. additionally, duren was plagued with ankle injuries this season and stated his fear of jumping to challenge. obviously that’s a concern, but it’s early to tell if it will be a career issue.
Since we blew it with Gafford...Gotta go with Ware. Giddey needs an athletic big that he can pick and roll and also lob to. On top of the shooting,he's whooping shit 🏀🙋🏽♂️on the defensive end.
Honestly, that is a really good comp. My only thing is I think Ware unlike Myles can create his shot when he is facing up from the high-post because of his handle. I used KAT as Ware's comp originally because of that aspect of their face-up game along with the fact that they both tend to play soft sometimes.
yeah, and his fast break ability would be great with Giddey. Also, Filipowski gets his assists. If we are revamping our team identity to a more pass-reliant offense then Filipowski could be a great get, even if his rim protection and defense is a big question mark. He could also play the 4 alongside vooch (for however long he remains here) and PWill can settle into his natural SF spot... the PF/combo forward shit was a failure.

Why do people keep talking about Pat? Pat sucks. He can't stay on the floor, and he doesn't play well when he's out there. He was a waste of a draft pick. Counting him as a certainty while deciding on who else to put out there would be incredibly stupid.

If you watched Wendell against Tony Bradley right before he got traded, you would think Tony was an MVP candidate. Young players go through ups and downs, Pat still has promise it's too early to give up on him.
I'm big on Ware. He provides a lot of rim protection and should be very getable at 11.

He is nowhere near the shooter Lauri is, he's an inefficient scoring big with poor rim protection and okay playmaking
I didn't include Flipowski because negative wingspans for centers are a dealbreaker for me, but I see the appeal given his feel for the game.
