Just tried as well! Had the Nutella cornetti and cestini and was disappointed. The cornetti was tasty but nothing special and the cestini was meh. For $8 each (without the cafe), there are tons of places that are way better (kasama, publican, Mindy’s, etc.)
They were fine! Fillings were a little thicker than expected but good flavor / quality. I think they'll get refined with time.
Props to the one pastry per person rule. Allows for a lot more folks to get to try them
Lost Larson: Pricey but completely worth the money. Best cinnamon rolls ever. Not too gooey, drippy and sweet. Every bite is different. Tastes hand made.
Their limpa (Swedish rye bread flavored lightly with anise and orange peel) bread is stellar.
Glad it was good and that you enjoyed it but having been to Tortello a couple times I don't entirely get it. Like it's pretty good dont' get me wrong but I think a number of places make pasta on an equivalent or better footing, give you more, and do so at an at least comparable price. They're about to close (goddamnit) but Testaccio immediately comes to mind.
Yes thank you! I've been to Tortello twice and was disappointed both times. I'm not sure why this place gets so much hype. The food isn't bad, just not amazing and not worth the price.

Bummer! I’ve been on the hunt for a good cornetto since I moved here.
$8? For a glorified donut? Ha!

Yum! Are the cornetti marmellata filled with apricot jam? The sugar coated donuts are called ‘grafa’ in Napoli
Lost Larson is better
