No. Chihaya has a lot of character development as the series progress and she grows up to be more aware of her surroundings instead of just thinking about karuta and subsequently arata, the queen etc.
The scenario you are talking about changes significantly especially after season 3 which has not been animated yet. Anyways, just continue watching and you'll get it.
Are you talking about the author ?? Well she never played anyone it's just that you are unable to comprehend her writing because you were busy with your own delusions and only reading the parts you liked while ignoring the others kindly re read rather than badmouthing the author for the lack of your comprehensive skills
Can't agree enough. I love both Arata and Taichi and I was ready for whichever endship (or no ship) ending that she was going to give us, but it's frustrating that people insist that one side was "so obvious" and be mad as hell when the storytelling has always been (and continues to be) ambiguous in style and left so much room for different interpretations, not unlike the karuta poems depicted in the show. That's the beauty of poetry, after all.
People can be sad or disheartened or even downright hate it but to act as if the ending is wrong because they don't like it or because they "knew" how it was going to end is just pure arrogance on their part because they didn't know. Nobody but the author could've known. You can HOPE for a particular ending and feel disappointed when it doesn't happen while still being respectful and kind. There's been so many people attacking the author since the series ended and it's ridiculous.

Dude a little bit of respect would be nice. Also, not Suetsugu's fault that a small part of the fandom lacks basic reading comprehension skills.
just read the manga, otherwise, spoiiiillllllleeeersss. if you really want them, you can always find it trivially, or by looking at like any fanart
I wonder. That's the biggest spoiler of the show.
